Talk to our hurting neighbors, and help them
BY BILL KITSON
(Bill Kitson is president and chief executive officer of United Way of Greater Toledo)

Quote from article:
"But what we really need is your voice. Too many people are sitting silently on the sidelines. Instead of hearing from the majority, instead of hearing from our community leaders, we hear only the extreme voices. We hear only the politics.
Any tear in the social fabric affects all of us. If we continue to allow the extreme voices to set the tone for our community, things will only get worse. Their negativism becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy."

you're such an obedient, slobbering dog.

Instead of hearing from the majority, instead of hearing from our community leaders, we hear only the extreme voices. We hear only the politics.

Sounds like every one of Paul's postings!

If I were to measure the "extreme voices" in Toledo, I would say that the Unions who buy out the politicians with campaign contributions and endorsements in exchange for favorable contracts and the Toledo Blade are far more influential then the minority of WSPD listeners and which is usually preaching to the choir. For the past 50 years they have ruled this city and look where it got us. If anything WSPD listeners need to be more vocal and more extreme to affect change in this failing liberal minded city.

Yes. That's why the Wolfman reaction to WSPD. He is terrified that fiscal conservatism will strike his class of person. He will do anything to stop it. As far as he's concerned, the government should tax and spend, and spend more and more each year. That's how his class of person "succeeded" in life; they got on the rolls of some union.

Paul sometimes your ignorance shows right through your ignorance. Bill has been on with me hundreds of times to talk about the programs the United Way is involved in both publicly and in TPS.

Any statement I make is the opinion of me exercising my first amendment right to freedom of speech. Freedom of speech in the United States is protected by the First Amendment to the United States Constitution and is generally permitted.

Fred use your head! Bill is president and chief executive officer of United Way of Greater Toledo. His job is to promote the United Way in the greater Toledo area, does not mean he agrees with your hate radio. His opinion was in the Sunday Nov. 27, 2011 Toledo Blade. Two different forums; one (WSPD) was done for his job, the other (Blade) his personal opinion. I'm surprised you get any guests at all from the progressive persuasion. I know that the WSPD of 6 years ago use to have a diverse guest list. Now all we hear is phony republican funded think tanks or obnoxious self promoting book authors. This is why I and others don't tune in as much anymore, just too insulting to fair minded people.

Statements made are the opinion of the writer who is exercising his first amendment right to freedom of speech. Freedom of speech in the United States is protected by the First Amendment to the United States Constitution and are generally permitted.

Isn't the United Way that organization, that a few years back, the president of it was stealing money, like $400K or something till they busted him?

Bill Kitson is also an extreme voice. Where can I find his huge compensation details online?

Hearing the rich remonstrate other extremists is entertaining to say the least of the issue.
