Quote:
"The political sharks and their remora-like pundits are already circling in anticipation of next year’s elections. Some observers complain that modern campaign speeches, advertising and debates have little substance — lots of big teeth barred in smiles or grimaces, but very little bite. But it may be that substance doesn’t matter as much as we’d like to think. A recent study in the Journal of Risk Research indicates that facts aren’t likely to sways us towards one viewpoint or another — instead, we humans go with our gut and rationalize around contradictory evidence. If the researchers are right, then the winning candidates will be the ones who speak to people’s emotions and not their brains. In the current issue of Mother Jones, author and science journalist Chris Mooney looks at why charts and graphs are less persuasive than old fashioned charisma. Need to Know sat down with Mooney to discuss how our emotions are influencing our politics. "

were you high when you read this Paul? Sure must have made more sense. Also from 1:30 am to 1:34 am the number of" reads" went from 6 to 23. Old woolfart pressing the refresh button. Well he is high and his finger wants to have fun with himself. BLEEECH! I'll stop there. Let's see how many reads woolfart can pump it up to by daybreak. Have fun with yourself buddy.

We are all born ignorant, but one must work hard to remain stupid.-Ben Franklin

An excerpt from the cut and paste by Paul which explains how Obama got elected -"If the researchers are right, then the winning candidates will be the ones who speak to people’s emotions and not their brains. In the current issue of Mother Jones, author and science journalist Chris Mooney looks at why charts and graphs are less persuasive than old fashioned charisma." How's that hope and change working out for you?

You do realize this argument could apply to either side of the political spectrum.......

We don't have a political spectrum, since that implies a true spread of opinion, wants and needs are represented. Instead, we have political poles, which are emitted from the same world of corporate supremacy and nanny government. Like electrons in our Van Allen belts, voters vibrate from pole to pole but never escape the domain of the planet itself.

Both poles in the so-called debate game in politics are using (and are used by) emotional appeals. But those appeals largely devolve into implicit and explicit support of the elite over our entire system of discourse. Those elite continue to concentrate their wealth, gapping more and more from the common man who unwisely falls into supporting them. The end result is a catastrophe. The America of 2040 A.D. will be unrecognizably awful to those living today, at the rate we're degrading things by our polar political system.

As usual the fools don't read or watch the entire Blog. Fred Lefebvre and the afternoon fool continually host echo chamber paid propagandists who's only existence is to spread their lies on the air waves around the country. Daily the WSPD whores promote propaganda from Americans for Prosperity, Cato Institute, Heritage Foundation, ETC. All are funded by corporations and billionaires to take from the American people and give to the 1%. If you don't believe me just look at the WSPD website. Nothing there to promote Toledo just the worn out rhetoric of Corporate America.

I hope someone is keeping an eye on you DogBoy...it's only a matter of time before you go Loughner on someone...

“Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.”

You might want to tell Collns and Sarantou that they are propagandists for biilionaires, they were both on with me today about street repair and city insurance. And I don't know where you were this weekend assfarth but I was riding my bike 150 miles to raise money for MS, so I got your local right here pal.
There is no reason to watch or read anything you post all the way through, it's all the same-unions good, corporations bad; Dems good, Republicans bad; Obama good, Bush bad. Ever since the Kennedy-Nixon debates "charisma" has played a part in our elections. If you "look" presidential and say the right things to the right people you can get elected. We should elect the president like symphonys select first chair, a blind audition.

Fred I've just about given up on local radio so I didn't "catch" your latest local "interview". The fact that you constantly "lace" your show with subliminal racism then get on a underused bicycle and ride for charity just shows how bipolar you are. The obviousness of your sloven out-of-shape form can be viewed at "Me And Paul At A Union Rally, I'm In The White Shirt" http://swampbubbles.com/20110622/image/me-and-paul-union-rally-i-m-white...
I find it ironic that I find the same slant on your silly little show, unions bad big business good grows tiring till it became predictable then you lost me and many other Toledoans. Fred its just so predictable same ole same ole day in day out till many turn to FM or give up on all the negativity and then there's the issue of too many commercials!

If you didn't catch them Paul you can listen to the podcast at www.wspd.com , thanks for the opportunity to plug that. As for underused, HA! That's part of our on air joking. I put the bike away right after Bike To The Bay and don't take it out again 'til next May. Of course that just makes the 150 that much more satisfying. Well that and that fact that I didn't need a union to get it done. By the way Paul big business is good. In fact I believe it was big business that gave you a job all those years. You weren't working for the union moron, you were working for big business.

when his posts are the same...unions good,WSPD bad, blah blah blah. Obviously Paul still listens if he knows what Fred has on his shows...
