Your typical 2010 Republican candidate

The Republican party has no minimum requirements. His conservative talking points come straight from the GOP!

Damn, I feel bad for laughing at a retarded person.

Seriously though, every GOP candidate talks about cutting spending. But has ANY candidate said which programs they would actually cut? (anything more than 0.01% of GDP, that is)

I don't buy the lie that they plan on cutting spending or reducing the deficit.

Pink Slip

If the GOP spends half of what Obama has spent in 1 year in the next 4 years 2012 2016 its a reduction in the deficit

You didn't answer my question, but thanks for trying.

This guy sounds like my high school teachers. I'm so glad I did things on my own.

Enlighten us dogboy on the Democrat "minimum requirements."
No I'm not making excuses for this guy, far from it, but your predictable comment isn't surprising.

What is the Dem minimum requirement? Cuz I've seen ALOT of scary stupidity from that bunch.

DOO DOO TELL.

“Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.”

Even Markos Moulitsas (of the commie left wingnut Daily Kos) calls Dennis Kucinich a "little prick".

That's saying a lot!!

Ummm...Weiner (how appropriate a name for this douchebag) your own party wouldn't support this bill so what do you do, blame the republicans. Your party has the majority. Your own party wouldn't support this bill and you are attacking republicans?

From the story:
"King said Democrats were "petrified" about casting votes on amendments, possibly including one that would ban aid from going to illegal immigrants sickened by trade center dust. King said the bill was more important than "a campaign talking point."

Can anyone answer the question?

But has any GOP candidate said which programs they would actually cut? (anything more than 0.01% of GDP, that is)

Not a candidate but I'd start with the Department of Energy started by Carter to make us "energy independant". Back then we imported 18% of our energy. Now we import over 60%. Yeah that was money well spent-NOT.

Dept of Energy has an annual budget of 30 Billion and just received 60 BILLION from the "stimulus". Yeah...90 Billion bucks! Can someone tell me what we are getting for that?-- Ruling Class politicians keep making big money promises so they get reelected...that's a major reason. We need representatives to CUT SPENDING. STOP BAILOUTS.

They will never vote for term limits so we also need to find those candidates who will
self limit their terms. The ones who DON"T want to be a career politician. Probably more likely to be a Republican IMO..Chris Christie a good example. When a politician doesn't have to legislate to get reelected, he/she is more likely to make those hard choices we so desperately need now. Hopefully the thinking American will make wise choices like this.

We are all born ignorant, but one must work hard to remain stupid.-Ben Franklin

That's fine tombrown, I'm sure everyone has their own ideas about cutting spending. My point is that no GOP candidate (that I've heard) has gone on the record to say what they'd actually cut.

Chris Christie? Isn't he planning on the government take over the casinos? Is this a conservative position?

Pink Slip

I'd cut greatly into the Dept of Education. They've done a crackerjack job thus far haven't they?

this spectacular display of wisdom from a liberal representative

LOL, what a comparison. One guy, if you listen closely, seems like he may have at least an inkling of the right ideas, but can't express it without sounding like he has an IQ of 27.
The other guy, "sounds" highly intelligent, but when you listen to what he's saying, is obviously dumber then a bag of hammers.

"We're all riding on the Hindenburg, no sense fighting over the window seats"-Richard Jenni

and his suggestion that the federal government stop taking income taxes out of paychecks and individuals pay quarterly to the IRS? How would that work?

"How would that work?" Well the representative from Harlem could make "honest mistakes" four times in one year vice only one big one.

MikeyA

Harlem is a Republican? I thought the topic was "your typical 2010 Republican candidate."

Purnhrt is not smart enough to follow the thread.

She asked a question. I answered it. She reverts back to the original post.

It's called a conversation. It's where one person poses a thought and another responds to the thought and this continues normally several times. So she obviously can't follow a normal line of thought.... or she's deflecting from my response because Charlie Rangle is black and a crook.

MikeyA

Latta has an appealing idea, but I don't see it ever working.
Most folks wouldn't have the discipline to set aside the money needed to pay their taxes quarterly.
It would be nice though, because it stinks that the government gets to use your money for free. If you paid quarterly, you could make a little interest anyway.

"We're all riding on the Hindenburg, no sense fighting over the window seats"-Richard Jenni

"you could make a little interest anyway" just to give it right back because the interest will be taxed.

Sounds alot like Farty Stinkbeiner to me, you know, the retard that was voted in for 3 TERMS in Holedo. When did he move to Tennessee? how does that old saying go? people who live in glass houses.....

The fruits of MY labor are not a social commodity.

When this guy becomes governor the attire for the weekly staff meetings will be white sheets and hoods.
