The next two years will be a hoot! The Tan Man turned majority leader will continue to embarrass the Tea Party with his excesses of wine drinking, lavish parties and corporate golf outings around the world. Meanwhile the beleaguered Middle class clots who voted against their best interests will watch in horror. Boehner like Tom Delay will soon to disappoint. The country will be locked in gridlock as the the party of no fights against the best interests of all Americans. Reality will strike home early next year when they first kill an extension to unemployment benefits. Can't wait for the fun and games!

No more bailouts for GM. They should scrap the volt now because they will kill the company.

It's pretty clear what happened.

The American people were against the bailout of Wall Street, banks, the Auto Industry, and Big Labor.

The American people were against the $814 billion dollar stimulus package that we didn't have the money to pay for and only generated $200 billion dollars worth of economic activity and didn't bring unemployment down.

The American people were against running trillion dollar deficits and a 13 trillion dollar federal debt that equaled roughly $44,000 per person.

The American people were against nationalizing our nation's health care given government's proven inability to manage its own budget much less efficiently run a national health program.

The American people want change...not empty platitudes.

Come on AH you're doing to much thinking. Just two years ago overwhelming numbers of voters swept the Dems into office after GW caused a near depression. Now you think the fickled are clamoring for Republican rule? Come on its because the Democrats didn't show up at the polls. Most American are dismayed by the political system and the lack of JOBS. Its that simple. In two years after the GOP makes a mess of things and the public gets reeducated on the Republican platform the Dems will get another shot.

I'm not overthinking it at all. The Republicans screwed up royally and deservedly got their butts kicked in 2006 and 2008.

The Democrats under Pelosi and Reid's lack of leadership dropped the ball as well and they lose the House in 2010 and will probably lose the Senate in 2012.

What we're seeing here is pretty clear. it's not a conservative revolution nor is it a liberal revolution. It's a common sense revolution and the votes over the past three election cycles bear that out. The American people want government to work for them, not special interest groups. The American people want government to work together, fix the problems, and discontinue the acidic trench warfare that only promotes the divisive rhetoric that we've had to put up with for much too long.

I agree with everything you said we need government to work for us. I just think when our government is hamstrung with the two party system and to save the economy from an economic collapse hard choices were made within the systems parameters. Was the economic bailout perfect? No, but the alternative would have been a disaster. The major problem is both parties are hooked on lobbyist campaign money. They don't represent average Americans and all this money bends the system to produce what we have. Until we get the money out of our government they will never represent We the People.

Wolfboy says he hates the two party system, yet he constantly criticized the Tea Party. If the Democrats say jump, he asks "how high"?

JeepMaker what if Rich Iott was in office when the vote came down to bailout Chrysler? We all know (well most of us) that if Iott type Republicans were in power you JeepMaker would have lost your much of your pension and healthcare. After working at Jeep for over thirty years with the promise of a meager pension do you feel it right that because the company was ransacked by Daimler Benz and left for dead you have no rights after a lifetime of sweat and toil to a little security in life. The Rich Iotts that inherit their wealth and security will never see the sacrifice we endured. They justify their privilege with money and influence. The lowly line worker has none and is at the will of the elite. I know you have this hatred of unions and Democrats and I understand some of it but I'll never understand your hatred of standing up to wealthy elites who have been screwing you for years.

Two years ago the dems were swept into office?? is it me, or did they have a majority now for FOUR years?? if you're talking about the defilation of the oval office that happened two years ago, are things better now since Barry took office, or worse?

Ha! Ha!. We'll work on the rest of the Obama curse in a couple of years.
