Obama and his administration are set to monetize our debt. That means we will start to pay off our own debt. I say with what, we don’t have anything to back it up. The result will be the possible end of the dollar, and don’t forget that Fannie and Freddie own 90-95 percent of Americans homes, which makes them the real owners. The United States and the rest of the world went off the gold standard backing the value of our currency in 1971: http://economics.about.com/cs/money/a/gold_standard.htm The result has been nearly 40 years of economic ruin. We have had moments of prosperity since then but mainly we have had depression. This is the longest economic downturn in the history of the United States. This surpasses even the "Long Depression" which followed the Panic of 1873. By the way Nixon was another Republican Like George W. Bush.
Ok, so monitizing our own debt wont destory the dollar because its already destoryed is that what your saying private.
