Bird-Watcher on trial for killing a cat

James Stevenson is on trial for killing a cat. Apparently, the bird-watching James shot "Mama Cat" because she was terrorizing a local endangered bird. SwampBubbles poll to follow...

However, lawmakers are unsure whether or not Mama Cat was actually owned by anyone as she lived under a toll bridge. Apparently, a local tollworker is willing to testify that he/she named, fed, and provided bedding for the cat and therefore belonged to them. They are willing to testify that the man shot her "in cold blood."

This has the activist communities on both sides (bird watchers and cat-fanciers) up in arms about the case. Here is a link to the story and a heads up, so when I am done creating the poll you will know what I am talking about.

Why would we want to worry about energy independence and illegal immigration when issues such as these really seem more pressing?

that its still legal to kill fetuses but not cats! Also, I have a serious stray cat problem in my neighborhood. They crap all over my yard. Does anyone know how to get in contact with this "bird watcher"? I may have an employment opportunity for him.

you can go to a department store's sporting goods section and get a 'low velocity' bb gun.

Hit a cat in the ass with that and it wont kill him, but he wont be back in your yard either. - same results as a real gun, but no dead cat to deal with.

Note - what I just described is still illegal. (but effective)
