A Pet Killer Lurking in West Toledo?

I came across handmade signs today warning of a possible pet killer in West Toledo. Anyone hear about this?

... to build a silencer for a .22 pistol and then go in search of pets to kill. As with all crime, a motivated and capable criminal will be very successful. To combat such a thing, public vigilance should be extremely high, and those watching should recall they have the right to keep and bear arms. After all, there's no rational reason neighbors can't patrol their neighborhood each night. People should be walking for their health, anyway.

Insensitivity

Kat,
Is that a bullet flying under your umbrella? Is violence against animals trifling? I never expected such an insensitive response to a poster who obviously is alarmed by the possibility of a deranged individual murdering household pets. My suggestion is for you to get a dog, a cat, or even a gerbil and experience the joy of caring for one of God's creatures.

I did not mean to trivialize the cruelty and brutality of the situation. Anyone that knows me will confirm my love for animals. My post was a serious attempt to find a possible explination for the sign HM wittnessed posted in his neighborhood.

Maybe the sign maker is concern that the TPD have taken to shooting animals as a way of pet control. I heard on the news tonight that another dog was shot in Toledo by TPD.

I am not saying that I agree with this assumption but that it merely registers as a possiblity in determining the source of the sign.

I have a "special needs" (blind in one eye, hunchback and only 3-5lbs at 5 years of age due to inbreeding) cat which I rescued from the flower pot inside my garage which it was born in. All its siblings died . I greatly appreciate the love for all Gods' creatures and apologize if you were offended by my comment.

Now please excuse me while I dodge the flying bullets under my umbrella.
