Apparently a new group/or another group/or a claim of a group was making phone calls encouraging voters to vote for Republican committeemen during the primary almost a month ago. The group is claiming to be the Lucas County Republican Party Grassroots Coalition. If you remember back, there were the Glass City Republicans only formed a year ago and seemed to have gone underground after Joe Kidd did not win the election. The area that this did appear in was an area that had some the "new" recruits trying to unseat current committeemen, so one wonders if this is an issue. I do not know of a Lucas County Republican Party Grassroots Coalition and if you listen to the audio below it sounds like it is a part of the Lucas County Republican Party. There are some that are raising an eyebrow or two over this given the whole central committee competition that is going on. What do you think?

They really need to re-build the Republican Party around here. It'll have to be rebuilt house by house, since it's facing the two distinct challenges of Democrat dominance and Republican malaise.
Of course, I'd better start hearing the Number One seller from the Republican camp, that being fiscal rectitude. The overall wealth of the area is under direct threat of collapse, and that just demands hard-nosed financial discipline from both the private and public sectors.
although I think this group is going about it the wrong way.
