MRGA -- Make Russia Great Again is not just my slam against our POTUS, it is a conclusion that most thinking people would come to from the evidence -- including bonafide conservatives!

Here is a link to an article in the National Review, a "Leading conservative magazine and website..." It is written by Andrew McCarthy, who is described as, "a senior fellow at the National Review Institute and a contributing editor of National Review."
In essence, McCarthy believes that the person who is fueling the current investigation into Russian connections with the current Administration, and the campaign committee that sought to elect our current POTUS, is the POTUS himself! Very interesting compilation of Fat Donny quotes!
"The first cabinet meeting of the new year found the president making the appalling claim that 'the reason Russia was in Afghanistan' — i.e., the reason the Soviet Union invaded Afghanistan in 1979 — 'was because terrorists were going into Russia.' Trump astonishingly added, 'They were right to be there.'”
"These are such shocking assertions for an American president to make, it is difficult to know where to begin. The invasion was a familiar episode of totalitarian Communist aggression. There was nothing defensive about it. Moscow swarmed Afghanistan to prop up a deeply unpopular pro-Soviet regime that had seized power and was under insurgent attack for attempting to impose Communist 'reforms' on a fundamentalist Islamic population. Terrorists did not provoke the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan; as I outlined in Willful Blindness, the global jihadist movement is an outgrowth of the response to that invasion: specifically, the summons to Muslims worldwide to join the battle, and the aid provided by the United States and its Sunni allies (mainly Saudi Arabia and Pakistan) to the mujahideen — in particular, to the so-called 'Arab Afghans' who forged al-Qaeda. The president’s statements indicate that he grasps neither (a) the geopolitical challenge posed to the West by the Soviet Union and, derivatively, Putin’s revanchist regime nor (b) the roots of militant Islam in the modern era."
OK...I had to look up the meaning of "revanchist." It turns out that, according to Merriam-Webster, this fits right into what I keep stating about Putin and MRGA. Revanchist: "of or relating to a policy designed to recover lost territory or status." Or, simply...

The Wall. Here's what Lyin' Don the Michelin Man stated in a memo to the media related to a campaign rally he was having in March, 2016: "[The Trump campaign]...explained multiple ways to 'compel Mexico' to 'make a one-time payment of $5-10 billion' to keep the U.S. from cutting off the spigot of money it already sends to Mexico annually."
That was then; this is now, earlier today, January 20, 2019: "When I said Mexico would pay for the wall in front of thousands and thousands of people ... obviously I never meant Mexico would write a check." Hmmm...I guess the " payment of $5-10 billion" would be all in cash?
So, you may ask, what's the difference between what Potuzzi stated on the campaign trail, and his direct contradiction now? When Fat Donny wrote that first statement, and when he made similar statements to his supporters at campaign rallies over and over again, he was CAMPAIGNING. Get it? He was making an empty promise, just like the politician he is!
We now know that the bill for The Wall, however he decides to build it, will be paid WITH OUR AMERICAN TAX DOLLARS!
Lyin Don, lying once again!
