Republicans -- PLEASE! Stop with the "Family Values" garbage!!

Yet another conservative/Republican hypocrite! The current Governor of Alabama is undergoing impeachment proceedings by a committee of the Republican-controlled Alabama Senate. Here's a link to an article about this: http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/alabama-governor-faces-impeachment-hear...
It seems that the "right honorable" governor was cheating on his wife of 50 years with a high ranking woman on his staff. He is also a dermatologist and, to add religious hypocrisy to his resume, a former deacon at his church!

Now, let me be clear. I could not care less about this man's personal life, as long as he has not broken any laws. To me, whether I like the way he conducts political business or not, his private life should remain private. But, it's the holier-than-thou conservatives and Republicans who feign concern about the personal morals of public figures. Conservatives and Republicans are constantly talking about religiosity making someone a better person. And, I am NOT saying that being religious is, per se, bad. What I am saying is that being religious, and espousing conservative values, does not make one, per se, good either! Talk is cheap!!
One of the men of the highest moral and personal characters in our nation's history has just left the Office of President of the United States. His successor is one of the men with the lowest moral and personal characters in our nation's history. If one had been asked in 2005, which political party would each of these men represent if they would become POTUS, most people of all political philosophies would have figured the first man to be a Republican, and the second to be a Democrat. WRONG!!

No votes yet

Finally, an old , ugly white right wing Repub was getting some lovin. The fact that the woman he was cheating on his wife with worked for him I'm sure had nothing to do with why she did it. When he was in church with his family every Sunday what do you think he was praying for?
That he didn't forget his Viagra when he met his aide that night to "catch up on some work"?
These are the kind of pieces of shit that are running this country. Fuck them all!

Hope I didn't offend anyone!

If one is rich enough, and/or powerful enough, looks and age really don't matter.

The Republican Party -- the political party of Borgia "family values!"

From Dale Pertcheck:
I could not care less about this man's personal life, as long as he has not broken any laws.

Given that he's governor of Alabama and you live in the Gravel Pit, Ohio, I find that to be a non-statement. Or in plain English, so the fuck what?

Alabama Governor Robert Bentley is 74 years old and looks like he's 110. He was married for 50 years to Dianne Bentley, is a father of four sons, and was a Deacon/Elder in a Baptist church. He made his living as an MD / Dermatologist. Robert got into politics because he was bored, and successfully won the popularity contest for Alabama Governor, which is no mean feat.

The Delilah to Alabama's Sampson came from his church. Rebekah Caldwell Mason and her husband were dead broke and in hock up to their asses. Bentley put both of them to work and gave them six figure incomes. Okay so far?

Then Mason positioned the fertilizer in front of the turbine blades, and the old fool couldn't keep Hector in the closet.

When the train wreck started, Bentley's sons swung into action. They got hold of their mother and convinced her to divorce the old schmuck, which is the smartest move she could have made. She got half of everything and a nice alimony settlement, so she'll be able to live out the rest of her life in comfort, which is a whole lot better than Bentley will be able to do.

See, Mason had it figured. If Bentley went for the goods, she could parley the relationship into a better position for herself, which means more money. If the train jumped the tracks, she could dress down, shed a few tears and file suit for sexual harassment. Just look at her, then look at Bentley. What do you think?

And so it goes. The Republicans are going to hold a public execution, the Moonbats are ecstatic about the whole thing, and the Ayatollah Obongo - well, he's out of office, which is a big relief. Hitlery is finished - she's on a book tour or something with that TV broad who looks like 300 pounds of bear liver in a garbage bag, and before school's out we'll get to see the tip of the iceberg of corruption that passes itself off as the Democratic Party in DC.

the point, probably on purpose.
Why should I, an Ohioan, care about the hypocrisy of a conservative Republican in Alabama? BECAUSE REPUBLICANS AND CONSERVATIVES THROUGHOUT THE NATION CLAIM MORAL SUPERIORITY TO DEMOCRATS! That's why!
And, you state nothing about Lyin' Don the Michelin who never met a burger he didn't like. What do you think, MJ, about the national leader of the Republican Party, and the man who secured almost all of the conservative vote in the latest POTUS election, and his personal morals?
Then, you just could not leave one of the most moral people America has ever had as a POTUS alone, could you? Obama has a stable marriage. He has never had a claim of improper sexual advances or statements to them made by anybody. And, the current POTUS who is the representative of the self-proclaimed "family values" party? What are his personal morals like, MJ?? Does he make you proud? He loves Bill O'Reilly! No wonder! Is O'Reilly another "family values" conservative of whom you are proud, MJ?
REPUBLICANS AND CONSERVATIVES. PLEASE! STOP THE "FAMILY VALUES" GARBAGE!!

defeated her is acting like whom? To remind you, here are some quotes:
"The great masses of the people will more easily fall victims to a big lie than to a small one."
"Success is the sole earthly judge of right and wrong."
"The victor will never be asked if he told the truth."
"It is not truth that matters, but victory."
"If you tell a big enough lie and tell it frequently enough, it will be believed."
"As soon as by one's own propaganda even a glimpse of right on the other side is admitted, the cause for doubting one's own right is laid."
I could go on...and on...and on...
Guess who said and/or wrote all of these statements, MJ?

Your quotes and their author don't matter, at least not in the sense you'd like them to.

Your side lost, Pertcheck. Lost big time, and will continue to lose until the Democratic party cleans house and reforms itself into something that attracts erudite, serene leaders who actually care about the people in the United States who are clinging so desperately to their guns and religion.

Of course, that means that people like you will have to pretend to change the way you think and act accordingly for a while, but that shouldn't bother you. In fact, you're probably pretty good at it by now.

all.
You may state that you want honest politicians, but you love the liars and the hypocrites MUCH MORE! Winning by lying. That's how it was done!

Aside from post content, your writing skills are somewhat outstanding. Ever thought of submitting to some paper-and-ink publication?

Actually, contrary to DP's assertion, conservatives in the general population are not holier than thou, as a rule. They try to live decent lives and once apprised of the facts, do not support people like this governor. Additionally, I have friends who TALK a good liberal game, but ALSO try to live decent lives. A few of them, this past year, sat out the election, rather than be forced to vote for Hillary.

What I HAVE noticed over the past, say, 10 years or so, is that the TV talking heads (almost all liberals) like to refer to any Republican like this governor, and the one from South Carolina as "the DISGRACED" whoever. But NEVER refer to (IMO) degenerates like Beelzebubba as the "Disgraced" Bill Clinton. Doesn't he have something like 2 rapes to his accusation credit?? And his WINO (wife in name only) may have never met a pork rind she didn't like.

And p.s. to, Dale, I have never used the phrase "family values". It's a meaningless phrase. You tend to try to paint anyone with a Christian background with a very broad and inaccurate brush.

with a very broad and inaccurate brush." I referred to conservatives and Republicans misusing religiosity as though that makes them morally superior to those who are not religious. BTW -- Not all conservatives, nor all Republicans, are Christians, you know, FG. And, there are 35 major Christian denominations, not to mention minor ones, in America alone! And, not all Christians are alike! Duh! And not all people who consider themselves to be religious are conservative, either, FG! Duh, duh!
I have stated that, as a self-proclaimed "conservative" you might struggle with your chosen political party being headed by someone whose personal morals are so family unfriendly. If you, personally, have no problem with Lyin' Don the Michelin Man who never met a burger he didn't like, do I care? Heavens no!!
As I stated above, "Now, let me be clear. WHAT I AM SAYING IS THAT BEING RELIGIOUS. AND ESPOUSING CONSERVATIVE VALUES, DOES NOT MAKE ONE, PER SE, GOOD EITHER! TALK IS CHEAP!! [emphasis added] FG -- if the proverbial shoe fits...

Aside from post content, your writing skills are somewhat outstanding. Ever thought of submitting to some paper-and-ink publication?

Been there, done that. The thing is, I don't dare maintain a web log under the same name that I publish under due to my outrageous sociopolitical opinions. I have to earn a living, and I'd get barbecued (economically speaking) at best. As I remember correctly, HistoryMike revealed his true identity and started getting credible death threats over something he published that criticized the wrong sub-culture. Aryans or something. Then there's SensorG, who, for reasons completely unknown, came to the attention of a local lunatic who began stalking the man and his family, claiming they were part of a vast fifth dimension conspiracy to alter the world climate. Probably a better example is Kim du Toit, an eminently qualified consultant who couldn't find a contract on the East coast due to his public rants. Fred Reed is in the same boat, but Fred capitalized on his infamy.

So I'll stay behind the screen and throw the occasional water balloon at Dale, whenever ennui overtakes me and materials come to hand.

Obtaining material is not much of an obstacle.

You're quite right about conservatives in general and Pertcheck whitewashing the fence. The vast majority of them do the best they can, day in and day out, and it's good enough for government work. TV talking heads get paid to say what the network tells them to say; off the set, most of them aren't really all that bright, but they don't need to be. All they have to do is look good and keep saying the right things. Ratings and all, you see.

Thank you for your kind words.

and you are right about the dangers of on-line posting - stalking and worse. I had a friend who, when picking his first e-mail address, entered his name as something like "noneof yourbusiness". I have never used my real name on-line that I can recall. Nevertheless hackers are clever, if they can somehow get ahold of your e--mail account. My sister uses her dog's name for facebook. It's a dangerous world out there.

The Governor of Alabama, Robert Bentley, has resigned rather than going through the entire impeachment process. Here's a link to the article: http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/alabama-governor-resigns-pleads-g...
This from the article: "Bentley, a staunch family-values conservative who won two terms partly because of his reputation for moral rectitude, was first engulfed in scandal last year after recordings surfaced of him making sexually charged comments to 45-year-old political adviser Rebekah Caldwell Mason."
In short, that entire misrepresentation of the Republican Party and conservatives as somehow having a monopoly on positive "family values" is the height of hypocrisy!

Once again, I must reiterate that I could not care less about what two consenting adults do in their private lives. I do not think that cheating on one's spouse is a reason that I would not vote for someone for elective office. It is Republicans and conservatives who make one's personal life an issue in elections. It is Republicans and conservatives who hypocritically claim the moral high ground. GARBAGE!!

Don't waste your time debating Flapjack. He is a racist and a member of the turd depends club over at TT. He is blaming the Democrats for that Alabama Gov. behavior. No doubt he is very similar to that governor, old, ugly, weak, white right wingnut mad because he can't get no pussy. He talks shit on the Obama's but at least they love each other. Thump bought a prostitute off the Russians then married her. Now she can't stand to be near him.
Thump used these right wingnuts to get elected , now he is using them to get richer. He goes to Florida every week to golf on the taxpayers dime. Saps

Hope I didn't offend anyone!

keeping their private lives, PRIVATE. Here's an article about the May-December romance that is the marriage of the leading candidate for President of France and his wife, who is more than 24 years OLDER than he is! http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/emmanuel-macron-is-39-and-his-wife-i...
As I stated above, "Now, let me be clear. I could not care less about this man's [Lyin' Don's] personal life, as long as he has not broken any laws. To me, whether I like the way he conducts political business or not, his private life should remain private. But, it's the holier-than-thou conservatives and Republicans who feign concern about the personal morals of public figures."
We'll see what happens in the only poll that counts, when the French actually vote on Sunday. But, if the public opinion polls are correct, Emmanuel Macron should win the election easily. And, the nomination and election of Lyin' Don also shows that the influence of the "moral police," even within the Republican Party right here in the good 'ol USA, is waning.
So conservatives, once again I say, "Stop with the 'Family Values' garbage!"

pejorative terms to describe our POTUS. I regularly call him, "Lyin' Don the Michelin Man who never met a burger he didn't like." I do so because this lowlife describes people he doesn't like using his own set of pejorative terms.

Now, some have stated that, while they didn't like my use of negative language during the recent campaign, now that he is POTUS I am degrading the office by using these negative terms to describe him. My answer? Lyin' Don is the one degrading the office! He degrades the office in many ways, but the way most directly related to this discussion is how Lyin' Don recently described fired FBI director, James Comey. If the reports are accurate, the Michelin Man who never met a burger he didn't like just told the Russian Foreign Secretary that Comey was a "nut job." In an interview for NBC, Lyin' Don stated: "Look he’s a showboat, he’s a grandstander,” Even though no one else, especially those who know Comey well, and over many years, has ever described Comey using those words, Lyin' Don is an expert on being a "showboat" and a "grandstander."
To get someone else's opinion on this topic, here is what Comey's father -- a Republican from New Jersey -- just stated, "I never was crazy about Trump," J. Brien Comey, a Republican and father to James Comey told NorthJersey.com. "I'm convinced that he's nuts. I thought he belonged in an institution. He was crazy before he became president. Now he's really crazy." Oh, look! This is quoted by Faux News! Here's a link to the source: http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2017/05/11/trump-comey-grandstander-show...

Since it is a translation, I have also seen it spelled "potica" and "putizza." It is a dessert from central and southern Europe, well know to be eaten a lot in Slovenia, Melania's homeland. The exact quote from Pope Francis, while speaking informally to Melania, is: "'What do you give him [her husband] to eat? A lot of potizza?'"

So, once again, for those who fallaciously believe that I disrespect the Presidency because I use disparaging terms to describe Lyin' Don the Michelin Man who never met a burger he didn't like, I am NOT disrespecting the Presidency! I am only name-calling someone who, himself. name-calls others. He is the POTUS! He is disrespecting the Office of President by demeaning others, while speaking as the POTUS!
Apparently, Pope Francis also recognizes the fallacy of the POTUS making any negative reference to the appearance of others, when he looks like...well...what he looks like! Not only has he never met a burger he didn't like, I guess he never met any fattening food he didn't like...A LOT!!

never met a burger he didn't like, was trying to sign off with the new nickname for him coined by Pope Francis himself -- Potuzzi! He just had no idea how to spell Potuzzi!

Michelin Man who never met a burger he didn't like to EVER stop tweeting! Once again, he helps to make my case as to why I do not show respect for him as a person. As I stated above, I accept the criticism some have aimed my way for this. But, since Potuzzi keeps writing and/or saying nasty things about those he dislikes, it is he who is disrespecting the office of POTUS! Does someone who shows very public disrespect for others deserve respectful treatment? Should we not be treated the same way we treat others?
Here's just the latest example, IN HIS OWN WORDS: "I heard poorly rated @Morning_Joe speaks badly of me (don't watch anymore). Then how come low I.Q. Crazy Mika, along with Psycho Joe, came.....to Mar-a-Lago 3 nights in a row around New Year's Eve, and insisted on joining me. She was bleeding badly from a face-lift. I said no!" Note: It's in two parts because, apparently, Potuzzi ran out of characters in the first tweet.

about Lyin' Don's latest nasty, personal tweet: "Senator Lindsey Graham, Republican of South Carolina, wrote on Twitter, 'Mr. President, your tweet was beneath the office and represents what is wrong with American politics, not the greatness of America.'”
Please note the words used by Republican Senator Graham: "...your tweet was beneath the office..."
As I continue to state, it is the current POTUS who disrespects the office of POTUS by his actions as POTUS!!

Sarah Huckabee Sanders lies just like Spicey and Potuzzi! Here's what she stated just a couple of days ago: "Sanders responded by saying Trump, 'in no way, form or fashion has ever encouraged violence, quite the contrary. He was simply pushing back in terms of defending himself.'"
So, early Sunday morning, Lyin' Don the Michelin Man who never met a burger he didn't like tweeted this: http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/president-trump-just-tweeted-a-vi...
It's almost as though Potuzzi WANTS TO PURPOSELY UNDERMINE whoever is speaking for him, so that no one takes anything stated by anyone other than Lyin' Don as a true reflection of what is on the Michelin Man's mind.
How long will it be before Sarah joins Spicey on the sidelines in frustration at having to lie over and over again?

Once again, the only people who have a problem with him tweeting are liberals.

MikeyA

Lyin' Don the Michelin Man who never met a burger he didn't like, really wants to communicate to the world.
Really, Mikey...how would you like to be a POTUS spokesperson right now? You make a blanket statement supporting the POTUS, like Sarah just did, but he undermines your statement by a terrible, violent tweet. Who has a problem with this tweet? Me or Sarah? I'll give you a clue...it's not this writer! I LOVE HIS TWEETS!! I guess you like everything this POTUS does! Interesting how you keep defending him, even when other Republicans condemn his actions, Mikey. And you keep denying that you supported his election. We all believe that...NOT!
Just like Potuzzi, you are living in Egypt on this issue, Mikey!

Once again, Potuzzi's tweet displayed prototypical Republican "Family Values" you seem to support by your statements, Mikey. As the leading Republican in the nation, Potuzzi's tweet is an example to all of his followers of what to do when opposition reporters upset you. ATTACK!! And do so in a violent, physical assault!

LOL you're so mad.

MikeyA

Your bromance with Lyin' Don the Michelin Man who never met a burger he didn't like, is almost as strong as HIS bromance with Vlad the Impaler!

news" to report on information flowing like water from members of Lyin' Don's inner circle [even his own namesake son] who were also deeply involved with Potuzzi's campaign for POTUS! Here's a link: http://theweek.com/speedreads/712280/fox-news-shep-smith-tears-into-trum...
"And the tweets go on; and the tweets go on."
Once again -- I LOVE the tweets. Keep those "Family Values" comin', Republicans!
