Iran never signed the JCPOA and Iran's parlament will not vote on it

It appears the Iran agreement will just be an agreement between ourselves. Iran did not sign it and their parliament will not vote on it. What a sweet deal for them. We look like idiots.

President Obama didn’t require Iranian leaders to sign the nuclear deal that his team negotiated with the regime, and the deal is not “legally binding,” his administration acknowledged in a letter to Representative Mike Pompeo (R., Kan.) obtained by National Review.

“The Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) is not a treaty or an executive agreement, and is not a signed document,” wrote Julia Frifield, the State Department assistant secretary for legislative affairs, in the November 19 letter.

When is it necessary to have a legally binding document to place sanctions on a country? Do you think sanctions can't be placed unless the country the sanctions are placed against agrees to them? Of course not, that would be like saying a thief must agree to his own punishment. The thief has no say in the punishment, and neither does Iran. If Iran doesn't go by the plan, the sanctions go back in place. I'm sure between China, Russia, The United Kingdom, France, and Germany (the other countries involved) there are some assets that can be seized from Iran if they don't keep their end of the bargain.

Do you REALLY think the current inhabitant of the White House would try going after Iranian assets in that paradigm?

Yes, why wouldn't he?
