What are Michelle Obama's girls eating at school?

In true "Let them eat cake" royal tradition, Michelle Obama is insisting that public school students eat meager lunches with such kid-friendly items as kale while her daughters are enjoying gourmet-like meals at their exclusive private school.

The Michelle inspired school lunch program has been met with such negative reviews that there's a Twitter hashtag (#ThanksObama) where students post pictures of their pathetic school meals.

However, Malia's and Sasha's lunches at the Sidwell Friends School are enough to fill tummies with mouth-watering delights. According to the school's website (link provided later), October 24's lunch will be:

Minestrone Soup
Buffalo Chicken Salad
Baked Ziti
Vegetable Ziti
Roasted Cauliflower
Kiwi

Yum!

It begs the question--how, in good conscience, can Michelle Obama insist that public school kids eat “Chicken nuggets, with broccoli, beans and milk," according to one posting at #Thanks Obama--while her daughters enjoy "Halloween chili and caramel apples," on October 31? Or maybe a better question is how clueless are the Obama supporters who buy into the "We're just like you" narrative?

Bon appetit!

This is how public schools can now feed all the kids a free lunch and not just the low income students. Maybe when the idiots of this city pass the school levy they will add another piece of bread to the menu.

Or you know they could brown bag it.

Passing a school levy is like throwing good money after bad. Keep in mind that public schools ARE the government. If people don't like how the public schools are run, the worse thing they can do is give them more money.

Agreed the assumption is the money from a new levy would go toward better funded lunch programs. I have never seen this to be the case.
