Common enemy

Unlike my other sparsely attended events tonight's Glenn Beck event against Common Core played to a full house at Fallen Timbers. Hope you were in the crowd, but if not here's a link for the Ohio site http://ohioansagainstcommoncore.com/

Full house? That's a new way of describing an audience consisting of aces in the hole and three deuces.

I know you believe you must comment on every single post but this comment is just stupid. It adds nothing to the discussion about Common Core, isn't remotely funny, and serves only to make you look even dumber than you normally would.

On the 25th at the grandstands there will be a diesel and gas truck pull, always entertaining unlike the shameless self promoting talk show host. Come enjoy life as the non Prius driving public ruin the environment spewing greenhouse gases to the heavens! Glenn Beck would approve of this behavior cause everyone knows regulation is bad and free will to do anything and everything to everyone else is good. So stop with the misinformation munching and give-a-hoot to freedom and self centered determination. Come to the fair!

this made me chuckle this morning!

Eh who would want to go to Michigan?

So, you and your friends and family will be attending, I take it?

Why don't you say the same things to your buddies here when they make idiotic comments?

Oh, that's right, Party Over Principles.

It must be great being paid to fleece rubes for 3 hours a day and to be a huge hypocrite while doing it.

I've been to the Lucas and Ottawa county fairs already this year and plan to hit a few more. They are great places to speak with the folks who grow your crops and raise the livestock you eat. They are less concerned with windmills and solar panels than they are with an out of control federal government and bail outs of auto companies and banks. Spend some time talking to them instead of deriding them for a supposed bias based on what you might think they listen to on the radio.
Here's the schedule for the remaining Ohio fairs http://www.agri.ohio.gov/divs/fairs/docs/Fairs_Schedule_Chrono.pdf and for the Michigan fairs https://www.countyfairgrounds.net/michigan/michigan.php
Try not to be so condescending and you might learn something.

of saying it played in 650 theaters because of being sold out, FULL HOUSES they added another 50. That = 700 theaters

Yes the real roughneck rugged individuals live in Lenawee. We independently think for ourselves while listening to Glenn Beck, and Rush Limbaugh 7 days a week! No sissy windmills or communist solar panels will touch your senses in Lenawee County! We frack, burn coal, and spread manure from our factory farms, damn the great lakes, water supplies or global warming! We are real Glenn Beck Americans. Come enjoy the fair!

Here’s the bottom line: Dairy farms create 0.066 percent of the greenhouse gases emitted in the U.S., according to Bailey.

If you’re curious about the background of that figure, start with the total amount of greenhouse gases in the U.S. Of that total amount, 6 percent is produced by the agriculture industry.

Of that 6 six percent, cattle contribute 33 percent. Of the amount produced by cattle, the dairy industry accounts for 11 percent.

So when you consider the total amount of greenhouse gases, the dairy industry contributes 0.066 percent of overall emissions.

And then there's this - http://www.delawareonline.com/story/money/2014/03/06/tractors-pull-into-...

If one's concerned about greenhouse gases, the major culprits are manufacturing, transportation, power generation and home heating/cooling. There's some cross-over between those.

Of course, those are easy to avoid noticing, since so many paychecks and securities depend on them.

I laugh when people brag about buying electric cars or hybrids when they live in states without a nuclear power plant. That electric car just added more to the carbon footprint because the electricity produced was produced by a greenhouse gas maker.

MikeyA

Electrical grids don't stop at state borders.

There's a city full of walls you can post complaints at

Your post doesn't discount a word I said.

The farther one is from a nuclear power plant, the more likely they are to rely upon greenhouse gas emitting power generation. That is a fact.

So if your state doesn't have nuclear power? I'll let everyone do the logical deduction from there.

Another factor to consider is the greenhouse gas emittance of the AM and cable bloviators! I would imagine Rush, Sean, Glenn and Fred combined can emit more harmful gas than any flagellating cattle industry!

I would pay money at the Lenawee County fair to see cattle flagellate.

Nobody ever thinks of the greenhouse emissions directly attributable to the electricity spent broadcasting Fred and all the right wing hatemongers. How many watts does WSPD use?

16 gazillion each week. You could look it up if you don't believe me.

The good news is not one kilowatt is used to broadcast the defunct liberal Air America.
