Gun Control through the U.N.

President Obama having made repeated suggestions that he would mandate gun restrictions through Executive Order should state and federal legislatures fail to act.

Given the rocky history between America’s gun owners and the United Nations, chances are that the push for disarmament will continue with more ferver than ever before. In fact, a recent job posting at the United Nations website suggests that the organization is not only working to get guns out of the hands of American citizens, they are actively preparing personnel to assist in what they call “disarmament, demobilization and reintegration” activities. And if that’s not bad enough, the duty station for this key U.N. Peacekeeping Operations department is New York city, suggesting that the organization believes such operations may be commencing in the United States at some point in the future.

One of the Mexican restaurant I really enjoyed was Abuelos but I guess I didn't go there enough to keep them open. Sad to see a building that big sitting empty.

Any statement I make is the opinion of me exercising my first amendment right to freedom of speech. Freedom of speech in the United States is protected by the First Amendment to the United States Constitution and is generally permitted.

I found Abuelos to be too high class for me. My wife and I seldom go out for that type of experience. We almost always eat out at ethnic places, and/or family-friendly places when we have our grandchildren along. Our 7 year old granddaughter really loves most Asian cuisine, so she is thrilled when we go to an Indian, Chinese, Thai, or Vietnamese place. Her 3 year old brother eats a wide variety for a 3 year old. They know our granddaughter by name at Tandoor and at New Empire, for example.

I'd support allowing police to conduct no-knock raids on Mexican restaurants and confiscate all guns on the persons of employees and patrons. Some of the hot sauces are dangerous as well and should be seized.

Patience is a great virtue.

He can 'suggest' all he likes. Executive Orders still can't countermand the US Constitution. His hands are tied.
