Hatriot Politics Created the Las Vegas Killers

"But the crime scene chronology only tells part of the story—because the Millers’ Massacre had been brewing for a long time, visible online. Their Facebook pages detail a descent into a murderous rage, railing against a tyrannical government and parroting talking points from fright-wing radio hosts such as Alex Jones and militia movement groups such as the Three Percenters while “liking” the pages of conservative activist groups ranging from the Heritage Foundation to FreedomWorks and the NRA. Miller’s profile picture was a skull wearing an American flag bandana against a backdrop of crossed knives over the word “Patriot.”

“There is no greater cause to die for than liberty,” Jerad Miller posted on May 2. “Yes, standing before despots is dangerous and most likely does not end well for you. I know this, my wife knows this. Soon they will come for us, because they don’t like what we think, and what we say. They don’t like the fact that we, simply will not submit to fascist rule.”

Sounds like the crap from the right-wingers on here. Hmmmm.

Oh yes, and I certainly hope all the other anti- government idiots out there will take note that no one actually came for these people, no one from the government came to get their guns or take away any of their rights. It was instead they, the Millers, that went on a killing spree. The government was pretty much leaving them alone; but in their minds the government was out to get them.

The tea party radio network
http://www.politico.com/story/2014/04/tea-party-radio-network-105774.html

"A POLITICO review of filings with the Internal Revenue Service and Federal Election Commission, as well as interviews and reviews of radio shows, found that conservative groups spent nearly $22 million to broker and pay for involved advertising relationships known as sponsorships with a handful of influential talkers including Beck, Sean Hannity, Laura Ingraham, Mark Levin and Rush Limbaugh between the first talk radio deals in 2008 and the end of 2012. Since then, the sponsorship deals have grown more lucrative and tea party-oriented, with legacy groups like The Heritage Foundation ending their sponsorships and groups like the Tea Party Patriots placing big ad buys."

Yea right.

Grass roots my ass. Astroturf. Direct links between the Kochs and others and the movement.

Didn't a tea party candidate just beat Eric Cantor despite being outspent 14 to 1?

The best way to keep us safe is to seize and incarcerate anyone who criticizes the government. We could call them enemy combatants and keep them behind bars indefinitely.

Patience is a great virtue.

Wasn't that the suggestion from the right under Bush? That anyone who criticized him was a terrorist loving America hater who should be sent to Gitmo? But when you turn that around to be right-wing nuts criticizing the government it is fascism and socialism and Communism and all that. Me, I just think it's fair play and any but who either doesn't see the irony or forgot their history is actually dangerous. On either side.

The same Ac that corrects everyone else's grammar. He also has stated that if you misspell words, or misplace periods, your illiterate. Well, looks like you're illiterate and uneducated, and you're bringing down your party, Oh! wait, you can't do that, they are already in that category.

This made me laff.

MikeyA

Posting from mobile does that sometimes. Of course, DTOM still has no excuse for his atrocious grammar.

If ever there was an issue screaming for bi-partisanship, it's public safety.

Patience is a great virtue.

Infrastructure as well. FIX THE FUCKING ROADS, BRIDGES, WATER AND SEWER PLANTS, ASSHOLES!

Fix the assholes, too? I'm sorry, that's a budget-buster.

Patience is a great virtue.

Spay and neuter your elected officials!

All these killings , the hatred of one American against another , the comical right versus
left, conservative versus liberal etc. is exactly what the Moneychangers want , divide and conquer. Looks like most posters on here play right into their hands. The moneychangers
call the shots and pull the strings in this world make no mistake about it.

You DO realize that Brat has been an economic advisor to several VA governors. Especially Democrat Tim Kaine.

Too bad the unbiased folks at Alternet.org missed that one.

So which is he. A professor only propped up by the Koch Bros to spread Ayn Rand to the college masses or a distinguished economics professor who has advised governors on both sides of the aisle?

MikeyA

Why can't he be an advisor in how not to do it? Ask him for advice and do the opposite!

Is that how you Dems do it?

MikeyA

LOL

LOL you criticize DTOM for FreedomOutpost posts yet you CITE Mother Jones.

You can't be serious. What did RawStory not have the inside track on this one? LOL

MikeyA

Did you even look at the article? I see tons more links to look at.

HerpDerp OutHouse.com is a fucking BLOG, not a news outlet. If you don't know the difference, then you're a moron. DTOM just reposts shit that's not fit for the editorial pages of Rupert Murdoch's newspapers.

Then again, you're in the military, you're trained to not think about things or look outside the material handed to you, so I don't know why I'm bothering to argue with your idiotic self about the merits of articles that cite sources versus some asshole's textual diarrhea on a blog that' you and DTOM take as gospel.

Mikey, Google "mother jones awards" and you'll see that MoJo, while partisan, is a well-respected publication that is virtually impervious to opposition fact-checkers. Its stuff is solid.

Patience is a great virtue.

And one thing that links this to other mass shootings is mental illness and thus should not have been allowed to carry firearms. Yet I notice no one on here wants to discuss that.

Additionally, they were habitual drug users and should have been in jail and unable to carry firearms, laws that already exist.

Also, these two were removed from the Bundy protests which demonstrates that that they were clearly on the fringe and not accepted in the group. http://www.usnews.com/news/newsgram/articles/2014/06/10/las-vegas-shoote... "“They were very radical, you know, and did not align themselves with the reason that the protesters were there,” Ammon Bundy told The Associated Press."

Also another incident where the Police had prior warnings that they chose to ignore. http://www.reviewjournal.com/news/las-vegas/las-vegas-police-had-contact...

MikeyA

"Habitual drug users"

Yeah I see you are another person that was completely convinced by watching Reefer Madness. But you're an avowed Republican so you have JUST SAY NO embedded in your brain from Blessed Nancy Reagan, right?

Pretty much most of the accounts I have read had Jerad all pissed off that The Man popped him for felony pot and that's when he joined you anti-government Tea-Tards and eventually sold everything to join the revolution you (via Fox News and talk radio) kept promising was gonna happen, eventually selling everything out to go to the Bundy Ranch, where he was kicked out for being an armed felon and thus a potential liability... which set him off.

Let's see now, that's the REPUBLICAN WAR ON DRUGS causing a young man to get pissed off at the government that prosecuted him for dope, the REPUBLICAN/RIGHT WING MEDIA MACHINE getting him worked up against the very government the REPUBLICANS set up, getting him to join the anti-government TEA PARTY movement, the VERY SAME TEABAGGERS kicking him out, and then he and wifey go murder a couple cops and one of those GOOD GUYS WITH A GUN THAT ARE SUPPOSED TO STOP THESE SHOOTINGS... and you're gonna say "that damn devil weed marijuana and mental illness made him do it" right after your good friends here claimed that all mass shooters are Democrats and they shoot people solely because they are Democrats (never mind the lack of evidence that many of them were Democrats and the UNDISPUTED FACT that at least one shooter wasn't even able to vote!).

Yeah Mikey, you just keep distancing your bad Republican self and your party from the Millers. Go ahead and blame mental illness while SAINT RONALDUS MAXIMUS REAGAN closed all the mental institutions and you and the rest of the TeaOP work to dismantle Obamacare and go back to no insurance and no coverage for "pre-existing conditions" for everyone thus denying more of those "mentally ill" people care. If you've got the actual balls to blame mental illness, then whip them out right here right now and give us the OFFICIAL REPUBLICAN MENTAL HEALTH CARE PLAN. Oh wait, you ain't got one and you want to make getting health care harder, so guess what, asshole? That's a whole steaming scoop more fault and responsibility on you.

Blah blah blah whine whine whine.

Mental Illness is a state issue not a federal one. Just like all healthcare should be a state issue and not a federal one.

The fact is you are all for prohibition as it relates to guns but against it as it relates to drugs.

We don't need new gun laws. We need the gun laws we have to be properly enforced.

Instead of doing that you're set on inappropriately arming what should be peaceful institutions of the federal government and expanding federal reach into areas that fall under a state's authority.

MikeyA

How the fuck do you propose to enforce the existing gun laws, asshole?

Jerad Miller was a felon, He got his hands on a gun. How'd that happen and how do you propose to prevent it, genius?

Oh, and last time I checked each state had the option to run their own insurance exchange... and oh so many so-called REPUBLICAN states CHOSE NOT TO DO THAT AND THEREBY CONCEDED IT TO THE FEDS. INCLUDING OHIO. So when push comes to shove, those Republicans you voted for are full of shit when they talk about states' rights.

By the way, I still didn't see your Great Republican Mental Health Care Plan.

Well in the last three weeks we have two mass shootings where the police were tipped off beforehand and intereviewed the shooters.

If Jerad Miller was a felon what do you want to bet he didn't get his gun legally?

Why would anyone turn down federal money that's being given for something that's mandated?

MikeyA

You didn't answer my question.

How do you enforce the existing gun laws? How do you prevent the next Jerad Miller from getting his hand on a firearm? How do we find out who sold it to him and prosecute them for breaking the law, MikeyA? Come on, you're the genius here saying we have all the laws we need and we just need to enforce them. Tell us, oh mighty know-it-all wizard, exactly how we do that. Come on now, don't be shy, don't be a pussy, you've got plenty of time to write up a nice long post explaining how your magic system works.
