Ted Nugent, the Blade abd the Rib-Off!

The Toledo Blade is sponsoring the maniacal Ted Nugent to perform at the Lucas County Rib Off. There is a lot of criticism being voiced against this choice of a performer.

Just a thought--maybe those people who don't like this shouldn't attend the concert.

You're welcome!

wont!...Thank you!

wont!...Thank you!

I'm less interested in Nugent and more interested in the extremely uncomfortable position the Blade has put itself in. Its sales directer told Media Matters he would prefer that the guy not visit town but doesn't want to cut him a $50,000 check for a non-appearance. And if it attempted to appease Obama supporters, would it risk enraging Obama haters and firearms fans? It appears the Blade took one of Nugent's guns and shot itself in the foot. Meanwhile, it's apparent that Zerbey and his underlings have gagged the newsroom; one who reads only the Blade would never know a highly charged controversy is taking place.

Patience is a great virtue.

that is my position exactly! You have such a way with words.

To come here and preform Purnhrt?

"DTOM" {1776} " We The People" {1791}

Because he's a self-admitted pants-shitting draft-dodger?

But you guys fall madly in lust with any sort of chicken, including CHICKENHAWKS like "The Nuge".

Sounds to me like you shouldn't go to the concert.

MikeyA

Media Matters? Seriously? The conglomeration of left-wing hate writers, funded by George Soros? Where or where to even begin...

First of all Media Matters is apparently in a feud with WorldNetDaily - or is trying to create one. WND is widely read - MM not so much. MM also can't quite decide how to characterize their now sworn enemy, WorldNetDaily. Conservatives have been aware for some time that MM is a Soros vehicle, that pretends to be a news site.

A quick search just now brought up another MM article that calls WND a "conservative news site", which is what it is. In your article, the pretend "journalist" calls it a conspiracy site. [Rabid haters generally throw whatever feces they hope will stick to the wall at any given time.]

The owner/editor of WND is Joseph Farah, who IS a journalist, who HAS newspaper credentials. He also has an interesting past, where the same people (the subversive Ayers family & others) who groomed BO, with his communist background, to sneak into the presidency -- the same groups, at one time, attempted to recruit Farah for various (illegal) activities. Farah, by his own description, was a far left liberal nut case at the time. He has become a Christian since way back then.

You don't like Nugent - that's your business and your right. Personally, I don't listen to rock or any other popular music, so I don't listen to him. But he has a lot of fans, and lots of them will show up at this and other concerts of his. And all Lucas County residents know that the Blade is infested with left-loon liberals. They have never made a secret of that.

Oh, and p.s. - "A lot of criticism is being voiced" against BO and his many scandals, which include the IRS persecution of conservatives scandal, the Benghazi "left our men to die" scandal, the Fast and Furious "give guns to Mexican drug lords who then kill our border agents" scandal.... and the list grows.

We have no-holds barred a culture war going on in this country, purnhrt. You and I just happen to be on opposite sides.

BENGHAZI! EVERYONE DRINK!

For being a devout right-winger, Gal, a lot of your comments come out of left field. But aside from that, you might get a kick out of Nugent's show and should consider attending. Who knows, maybe you'll hear him repeat his famous remark about wanting Obama to "suck on my machine gun." That would likely make you swoon.

Patience is a great virtue.

Let's keep swampbubbles intelligent and not post crap from Facebook. Liking comments won't cure that little girls cancer.

MikeyA

Oh look at the hypocrisy here! Content from Facebook is "crap" but wholesale article rip-offs from TEAdomOuthouse.com or whatever it is are wholesome family entertainment and improve the tone and IQ of SwampBubbles? Really Mikey? Is it also true that if you white-knight for the GOP hard enough, Stainbrook will let you sleep with him?

AC

AC, a tea party website is much more newsworthy than facebook because it is the site of a politicial action committee. Additionally, the site is used to further discussion of inter-party politics debate and discussion. Facebook is a social media site nothing more nothing less.

Now I am not a tea party member, I welcome their discussion within the GOP. Please show me where I have called their site, their message, or anything else they do as "wholesome family entertainment". Debating what they advocate does raise the IQ here because it causes debate meaning the exchange of intellectual information.

I am also not a supporter of Stainbrook. I am a faithful member of the GOP and my goal is to get Republicans elected. You'd think that would be Stainbrook's goal, but surprisingly his tenure of LCRP chairman has led to less and less Republicans getting elected county-wide. If he were as faithful of a Republican as I am he'd step aside for the good of the party.

MikeyA

It's "fewer", not "less", as you can count the number of Republicans being elected.

I just love the irony of you being a faithful Republican and serving so that the Republicans you love can send you off to get your ass shot off in some BS war. Either that or you love being employed by the Federal Government (one of the very definitions of SOCIALISM!) by the big spending Republicans of the Military-Industrial Complex.

Apparently Facebook cannot be used to further discussion of "inter-party politics debate and discussion". Wow. All those Facebook comments on the Blade are completely and utterly devoid of meaning!! Meanwhile, reposting of articles wholesale from TEAdomOuthouse.com, which aren't actual news articles at all and are therefore unable to be called "newsworthy" since it's a BLOG (SOCIAL MEDIA, IN CASE YOU FORGOT!) is "the exchange of intellectual information"???

You, sir, are a walking bundle of contradiction and cognitive dissonance.

Why don't you kiss my ass?

Sorry but maybe you shouldn't post your sexual deviancy here where everyone can see it.

OK, then why don't you kiss your own ass?

I can understand why the little coward would come rushing to the defense of Facebook...people can "like" things there. Just like they could on Toledo Talk, where the little coward would get all giddy when a comment of his turned green. And for a degenerate like the little coward, receiving validation from strangers on the internet is probably the next best thing to whatever meds he is currently taking.

As for the Blade's Facebook page, I took a look at some of comments being left and it didn't take long to notice a theme. Of the few I checked, I didn't see a single one from someone who was either currently living or had previously lived in Toledo. Anyone willing to bet me how many of these limp-wristed moonbats had knowledge of the Toledo Blade, the Northwest Ohio Rib-Off, or Yark Automotive before borrowing the little coward's panties so they could get them all bunched up?

Oh geez, is this one of those dormant sock puppet accounts coming out of the woodwork?

(and I post this strictly for the reader/lurkers)

Clemson is one of the legitimate individual posters at this site. And generally has something interesting to say.

Welcome back, don't forget to keep the comments based upon the issue and not make it personal. You can make your point above without talking about in a personal way.

Joey Zerbey was quoted in today's Lessenberry column on Nugent as saying, "the Blade stands for freedom of speech no matter what!" This from the gentleman who made sure that my contributions to reader comments at the end of stories and opinion columns were blocked from appearing on the website. Sure, I tended to use sarcasm when my comments were allowed to be posted, and I preferred to write about the Blade's not-so-hidden agenda rather than the content of a story itself, but I never used profanity nor any language approaching that of the subject of Lessenberry's column and I never wished death upon any person. I guess free speech means I could tell a president to suck on my machine gun as long as I could play guitar and guarantee a large gate at a Blade-sponsored event.

Patience is a great virtue.

Does anyone remember the Dixie Chicks making one comment about President George Dubya Bush and the fallout from that?

http://www.thenation.com/blog/173271/ten-years-ago-today-dixie-chick-dar...

"singer Natalie Maines declared on stage in London: “Just so you know, we’re on the good side with y’all. We do not want this war, this violence, and we’re ashamed that the president of the United States is from Texas.” "

Result: MASSIVE BOYCOTTS, REMOVED FROM THE AIR, AND:

"Maines then issued an apology, of sorts: “As a concerned American citizen, I apologize to President Bush because my remark was disrespectful. I feel that whoever holds that office should be treated with the utmost respect. We are currently in Europe and witnessing a huge anti-American sentiment as a result of the perceived rush to war. While war may remain a viable option, as a mother, I just want to see every possible alternative exhausted before children and American soldiers’ lives are lost. I love my country. I am a proud American.”"

Now let's see the sort of endearing shit that's come out of Nugent's facial orifice:
----
"A president who is an avowed racist who claimed because Trayvon Martin was Black — even though he was a gangster, an attacker and a doper — could have been his son. Really?" Nugent said in an interview with Penn Live in February 2014.

“I have obviously failed to galvanize and prod, if not shame enough Americans to be ever vigilant not to let a Chicago communist-raised, communist-educated, communist-nurtured subhuman mongrel like the ACORN community organizer gangster Barack Hussein Obama to weasel his way into the top office of authority in the United States of America,” Nugent said in January, Politico reports.

Responding to George Zimmerman's acquittal, Nugent issued a statement in July bashing President Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder for "refusing to admit that the 17-year-old dope smoking, racist gangsta wannabe Trayvon Martin was at all responsible for his bad decisions."

Speaking at a NRA conference in 2012: "If Barack Obama becomes the president in November again, I will either be dead or in jail by this time next year." Alluding to the American Revolution, he added, "We need to ride into that battlefield and chop their heads off in November.
----
Well that was one of the ones that got him a Secret Service visit, if I recall, for alluding to attempting to assassinate Obama if he was re-elected. And, sadly, Ted can't keep his promises, because he's free and coming to the Rib-off.
----
In a July 1990 interview with Detroit Free Press Magazine: "My being there (South Africa) isn't going to affect any political structure. Besides, apartheid isn’t that cut-and-dry. All men are not created equal."

"Hey, Obama. You might wanna suck on one of these, you punk," Nugent said while waving two machine guns in the air during at one of his 2008 concerts. Turning his attention to then-presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, Nugent added, "Hillary, you might wanna ride one of these into the sunset, you worthless b---h."

"Barack Obama, the guy who received roughly 93 percent of Black American votes, is the clear and present engineer of the destruction of Black America," Nugent said in a
February 2013 column for the conservative website WorldNetDaily (WND). "It’s not all the president’s fault, but the economic and social policies he endorses are destroying what is left of a once proud and strong Black America."

"I think that Barack Hussein Obama should be put in jail. It is clear that Barack Hussein Obama is a communist. Mao Tse Tung lives and his name is Barack Hussein Obama. This country should be ashamed. I wanna throw up," he said, adding "Obama, he’s a piece of s**t. I told him to suck on my machine gun."

"Foreigners are assholes; foreigners are scum; I don't like 'em; I don't want 'em in this country; I don't want 'em selling me doughnuts; I don't want 'em pumping my gas; I don't want 'em downwind of my life -- OK? So anyhow, and I'm dead serious...." -- Excerpted in No Compromise, July 2000.
----

Conservative hypocrisy at its finest! Look at all the SB and TT Tea-Tards lined up to slobber on The Nuge's tiny meat microphone. Nugent can be a loud racist, sexist, ignorant asshole and therefore anyone who doesn't want him around here is part of a VAST BLACK LIBERAL CONSPIRACY or something (looking at a certain post on TT here), but someone says they're against war and they're ashamed that the President is from their home state and it's PERFECTLY FINE to boycott THEM.

Hmmmmm. I wonder if any of our TT/SB Republicans or Teabaggers are going to step up and say that the reaction to the Dixie Chicks was wrong just like the reaction to Nugent is, or if they'll say Nugent deserves to be boycotted, or anything that doesn't look like they are complete and utter hypocrites that apply a double standard for anything that threatens their side.

http://www.toledoblade.com/JackLessenberry/2014/04/20/Copy%20(Copy)%20(Copy).html

Any statement I make is the opinion of me exercising my first amendment right to freedom of speech. Freedom of speech in the United States is protected by the First Amendment to the United States Constitution and is generally permitted.

I'm sorry, I'm not willing to deal with The Blah's paywall and tracking cookies.

While we're on the subject of Nugent's free speech, here's a story on how Teddy freely lied to make himself sound like a bad ass. It was all part of his explanation for the mongrel statement.

Still waiting for vegetarians and PETA to get pissed off at all the pork and beef being consumed at the rib off.

Nugent and Zerbey can suck on my asparagus.

Patience is a great virtue.

There will already be a lot of PETA there.

People Eating Tasty Animals.

Most "conservatives" seem to LOVE that draft-dodging, misogynistic, faux-patriot, who wants to wave guns in the faces of Americans who look "suspicious" to him, but would not face a war situation where the other side was armed and trained. And yet, most of these same "conservatives" disparaged a man like John Kerry because AFTER he served, and showed courage under enemy fire, he turned against prosecution of the same war which the faux-patriot avoided like the coward he is! Which man was more worthy of the honor of the United States of America?

And the entire "freedom of speech" argument? Give me a break! "Nugie the Coward" can say anything political he wants as long as he doesn't make direct threats against any individual. Really? The Blade couldn't find any other performer to hire than "Nugie the Coward?"
When one speaks freely, one risks the consequences of that free speech. If the crowds are huge for "Nugie the Coward," good for him. Personally, I won't reward that coward, but others are free to see and enjoy his concert. Maybe he will even talk about his favorite President. I'll bet he avoids discussion of his draft-dodging cowardice back in the day! I'll remember "Nugie the Coward" the next time I view my buddy's name on the Viet Nam Memorial Wall. And I'll bet "Nugie the Coward" will be armed when he performs here, to "protect" himself from "suspicious looking" Americans!
Personally, I wear "hoodies" a lot. You won't catch me anywhere NEAR "Nugie the Coward" wearing one of those, even if it's unusually cold that day. Isn't that all it takes to have an American look so "suspicious" one can get oneself killed? You know..."Stand your ground..." "Shoot first and ask questions later."

And someone like Nugent, who speaks before he thinks, is usually NOT any kind of hero to any conservatives that I know personally. I know liberals would LIKE to pin that charge on "most" conservatives, but it's not true and therefore isn't going to stick.

On the other hand, don't liberals have kind of a problem when condemning Nugent, considering that most of them voted for BEELZEBUBBA? The hillbilly rapist?

https://whatreallyhappened.com/WRHARTICLES/pearl/www.geocities.com/Penta...

As I type, the mainstream media is trying to clean up his (& Queen Athaliah's) image because they will soon be grandparents. Well, Norah O'Donnel & others can slobber all over the two of them all she wants. The Clintons are still what they are. Along with all his filthy background (see link above), you don't have to research very far before you come across horrifying stuff about queenie, too. For starters there's Kathy O'Brien's (& her former CIA handler's) book, "Tranceformation of America". Then there is the young Hillary being fired from the Watergate investigation for falsifying documents. Then there is Hillary defending Black Panthers who torture-murdered one of their own.

As to the Vietnam Wall, will you be remembering "Slick Willy the Coward" next time you view your friend's name there?

"W's" Administration was full of wealthy people who manipulated the system to avoid serving in Viet Nam, including W himself. HW was a true war hero. His son, not so! The difference in this area between W and Bill is that Bill did NOT start TWO WARS costing thousands of American deaths and/or disabilities, not to mention tens of billions of your tax dollars and mine, and tens of thousands of deaths of Iraqis and Afghans, many of which were innocents of all ages!
So, W can fly a jet. Big deal! His father was shot down and thought to be dead! W protected the area around Texas well. Not one Viet Cong or NVA soldier did harm to anyone in Texas while W was on duty. (Of course, sometimes -- it appears likely -- W wasn't even on duty!)

As far as Bill and his personal life go, while I find his conduct to be morally reprehensible he has never been charged with a crime. You are regurgitating baseless accusations. As far as his Presidency goes, Bill's policies gave us budget surpluses, low unemployment, and no major wars.
For someone who professes so much concern about the 4 deaths in the Bengazi fiasco, you sure seem a LOT less concerned with the thousands who died in Iraq and Afghanistan! All the while, Pakistan was hiding Osama and protecting him throughout the entire W Administration. And those so-called experts working for W believed -- or complied with -- the Pakistanis to keep Osama safe from harm.
Obama's advisors saw through this scheme, and Obama gave the orders to have Osama killed IN PAKISTAN, even though this violated the territorial integrity of a sovereign nation which falsely claimed to be an ally! Now, THAT'S real leadership -- unlike W standing safely on the deck of a warship in front of the sign "Mission Accomplished." The "Mission" was not "Accomplished" until AFTER W left office. Our combat troops didn't leave under W's orders! That was "Accomplished" by a REAL leader, President Barack Hussein Obama!

Point of order, Bill Clinton was charged with perjury and obstruction of justice (both crimes) in the bill of impeachment by a politically biased House that managed to shoot their dicks off and sour a lot of people on the GOP. However, he was acquitted on both counts.

Too bad Bush and Cheney are too chickenshit to leave the USA, because there's a lot of people who would try to pop them for war crimes under international law.

You can't because I didn't. Did we not have this conversation recently... about you putting words in people's mouths that they never said. It's called building a straw man so you can knock it down. It's phony baloney.

And the Bushes - do I actually have to repeat for the five thousandth time that I did not vote for Dubya? You want me to be a Dubya fan for one reason only - so that you can make excuses for Slick Willy. Sorry, can't oblige you - Want some of the REAL dirt on the Bushes? Google "Kimball Castle" some day.... or "affidavit of Jess LaVey".

But I do weigh things in the balance like Slick Willy and Queenie burning children to death at Waco against Dubya signing into law the prohibition of so-called "partial birth abortion" [read "murdering babies 60 seconds before they deliver].

I was against both wars, and any of the ones bobo the clown is itching to start.

So, I guess, go right ahead & sling a bunch of it [it being hogwash] against the proverbial wall, but it isn't going to stick.

Dale,

GWB did not attempt to avoid Vietnam. He served in the National Guard. Many National Guardsman served in Vietnam.

Bill actually got us involved in Kosovo. I don't have a huge problem with that I just wish he'd have gotten more involved in Rwanda, same with Bush in the Sudan.

I agree the rape comment on Clinton is baseless but so is the Vietnam comment.

Benghazi is a big deal. A much bigger deal than Aghanistan or even Osama bin Laden.

Why? The Ambassador was killed. The Ambassador is the sole person sent to a country to represent the President. The Ambassador takes direction straight from the President. They serve at the pleasure of the President. They ARE the President's representative standing in for him.

Now imagine if the VP were giving a speech in lieu of the President on US soil, and was shot, not killed, just shot. The Secret Service there and the Secret Service Director could lose their jobs, several investigations would be held, hearings held, laws would be passed, etc. Who lost their job after Benghazi? What law was passed? Did the President hold anyone accountable for the person representing him dying? No. He choose to send out another representative to perpetuate a lie to the American people. That is a big deal.

MikeyA

In reality, there was exactly zero chance that W would serve in Viet Nam unless he volunteered to do so, [like John Kerry did, I might add]. Many people chose service in the National Guard over waiting for the draft in those days. None had more clout than did W's family, however! Some of my own friends did so, and avoided serving in Viet Nam, and they had no clout at all! It was just far less likely that one would serve in Viet Nam if one were in the National Guard rather than in the army! I view Nugie the Coward far differently, since he avoided military service altogether. It probably would have interfered with the course of Nugie the Coward's career. Elvis served [not in time of war, however]!

Bengazi is overstated for many reasons -- most of them pure politics!. Ambassadors have innumerable choices to make about their activities. From what I read at the time, this particular ambassador was much more "hands on" than most. He had taken risks before because he thought it helped him do a better job. Please understand, I admire him greatly for this attitude, but he knowingly put himself at greater risk than he had to, and at greater risk than most others would. His death is a very sad event, but not of greater import than the thousands who have died in W's 2 -- count them -- 2, senseless wars.
And it is Barack Obama who did the most to avenge the deaths on 9/11. Unlike W, Obama's people saw through the subterfuge by Pakistan and Obama gave the orders to send our troops into a sovereign nation which claimed to be an ally in order to have Osama Bin Laden killed! W surely talked the talk. He and Nugie the Coward have that in common. With W and his people, it was all about staged media events. And look. It worked. It was brilliant politics by W and his people! W was re-elected over a distinguished U.S. Senator who volunteered and served bravely under fire in Viet Nam.
Obama, however, walked the walk. Obama did the Teddy Roosevelt thing, "Speak softly and carry a big stick."

You're right on all counts, MikeyA.

If an incident like the attack in Benghazi had happened shortly after WWII, there would have been United States Jackboots on the ground ASAP. The response would have been immediate and violent. Now, we're pretty much a non-existent threat. Not because we don't have the military might, but because our commander in chief is incompetent.

Mad Jack
Mad Jack's Shack

Neither do I.
You may not support Nugie the Coward, but I'll lay odds that the vast majority of those who go to see Nugie the Coward perform, would label themselves as political conservatives, and would support Nugie the Coward's harangues against the current POTUS!

It's one thing to not support a war. It's quite another to draft dodge, then go around acting all tough and macho, and to support sending OTHERS into wars, while brandishing guns to "protect "oneself from "suspicious-looking" Americans. Here's some actual quotes from Nugie the Coward after George Zimmerman was found not guilty in the killing of Trayvon Martin:
Zimmerman showed, "the fundamental responsibility of a neighbor who cares."
Zimmerman did, "nothing improper."
Zimmerman had, "potentially life threatening wounds."
Zimmerman's actions, "represents the purest form of self-defense there is."
Nugie the Coward went on to describe Trayvon Martin [remember, he's the unarmed teenager who is dead] as, "a standard thug," who had, "an obvious racist chip on his shoulder."

FG -- Do you agree with Nugie the Coward on these statements? Don't you think that the vast majority of American conservatives agree with Nugie the Coward here?

Ted Nugent's Jailbait Problem
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/larry-womack/ted-nugents-jailbait-problem_...

Statements made are the opinion of the writer who is exercising his first amendment right to freedom of speech. Freedom of speech in the United States is protected by the First Amendment to the United States Constitution and are generally permitted.

Unarmed teenagers should learn to be more careful when attacking people.

themselves from armed stalkers! It's called "Stand your ground." I guess "Stand your ground" is not justified if one "looks suspicious."
Just remember, Trayvon Martin is dead only because George Zimmerman violated protocol AND specific instructions from a police dispatcher, to NOT PURSUE the person Zimmerman deemed to be "suspicious."

Foolishly, I still love to wear hoodies. I guess when it's cold, and I have my hood up over my head, I am risking my life walking around. I just love to live "on the edge" like that.

Trayvon Martin is dead because he chose to attack an armed man who was willing to defend himself. For his part, Zimmerman did not violate any protocol of any kind. What's more, Zimmerman rightfully ignored the police dispatcher, who has no authority whatsoever.

I'm sorry for Trayvon's mother and family. I'm also sorry for Zimmerman, as he was persecuted for defending himself.

By the way, have you ever tried wearing your hoodie in the Franklin Park Mall? The mall cops will instruct you to remove the hood. At least, that's what I've seen.

Mad Jack
Mad Jack's Shack

What's your proof Trayvon attacked first?

Oh wait, you have none, just the word of someone who killed the kid and is desperate to avoid prison. Trayvon can't defend himself unless you believe in Ouija boards and mediums.

Both parties had the right to "stand their ground" and one is dead because of it. Stop being an ass and assuming that it's all on Trayvon.

Neighborhood watch volunteers are told to report and wait -- PERIOD. Who has more authority, a trained police dispatcher or a volunteer? The police dispatcher deals with dangerous situations on a regular basis. The police dispatcher is TRAINED to advise VOLUNTEERS to stand back and let the police professionals do their jobs. By the very nature of their VOLUNTEER positions, VOLUNTEERS are NOT trained to confront "suspicious" people.

What if Trayvon Martin had been carrying? What if HE shot and killed the armed man who was stalking HIM? Would you be defending Trayvon for protecting himself under the "Stand your ground" law? If not, why not?

FYI -- I can't remember the last time I went to "The Mall."

If Trayvon had been carrying and had shot and killed Zimmerman, Trayvon would have been demonized as an armed thug and would have gotten life in prison.

If "ifs" and "buts" were candy and nuts, the world would never go hungry.

Yeah, but the real reason is NOBODY would feel worried if you approached them.

I wonder what would make you think that a lanky kid like Trayvon Martin would appear more threatening or "suspicious" than I would appear while wearing a hoody?

And why would a VOLUNTEER who was directed to ONLY wait and watch follow someone he perceived to be "suspicious" to begin with?
Police work should be done by trained, professional police officers!

"Police work should be done by trained professional police officers" LOL, yeah because they don't make mistakes.

"DTOM" {1776} " We The People" {1791}

So let's Teabag the government down to the LLLLLLLibertarian ideal of no police and everyone for themselves.

You're beginning to sound ALMOST sane.

Pobody's nerfect, but...trained, professional police officers make far fewer mistakes than do amateurs! Dick Cheney is not the only one to shoot a friend accidently while hunting!

Ted Nugent! How did Benghazi, Trayvon Martin and Bill Clinton become the topic for discussion? Can you either stay on topic and if unable to do that, go to the office!

these other subjects. You can't separate Nugie the Coward from his public positions on these topics. My questioning is about the conservatives who support these same political public positions and also support Nugie the Coward.
In private, IMHO...most conservatives LOVE Nugie the Coward's comments about our POTUS. They just won't go public with that support because the statements are so inflammatory.

There's nothing inflammatory about his statements, except to the easily inflamed.

If you really think so, that says a lot about you, G-MAN!

Conservative selective hearing. That's how come they hear all the racist dogwhistle phrases from their right-wing media masters and start barking up a storm on forums like this one, yet are able to completely ignore the voices of reason and common sense.
