Let's play "try to think like a liberal"

I was in Columbus and saw a billboard with a picture of Martin Luther King, Jr., with the following words:

AIDS Is a Civil Rights Issue

What? Along with making no sense, it is a great example of the malarkey liberals spew.

So I've made-up a game called "Try to Think Like a Liberal." Throw aside all logic and focus on: 1) Deciding what you want--and then forcing that on everyone else, 2) Touting "diversity" while you throw insults at people who express opinions that are the opposite of yours, and 3) Assigning yourself as the spokesperson for every bizarre, amoral, and downtrodden group.

So think like a liberal and explain why "AIDS is a Civil Rights Issue."

I'll go first.

The answer is obvious. AIDS is a civil rights issue because the majority of AIDS victims are Black (I just made that up--it's sooooo much fun thinking like a liberal)! Everyone knows that minorities can't take care of themselves (like--duh!), so we Whites must protect them from the Tea Party that is using voter intimidation to keep people with AIDS from casting their ballots. This all started with George Bush.

Wow--defying any semblance of reality is exhilarating!

Give it your best shot--and share it with the rest of us. Ask your friends to play along--they can get a SB account too!

Yay! Dog whistles and race-baiting! Boy SB sure is a fun place!

That is great! Your comment sounds JUST LIKE a liberal. Thanks for playing!

And you're a perfect Tea-tard example, because hey, you could have used that Google thingy to look up the whole ad campaign etc. etc. instead of posting race-baiting and pulled-from-your-posterior comments here.

"Tea-tard"--that's priceless! Again--you are REALLY good at this "Try to think like a liberal" game!

Waterboarding is torture. It takes too long. Drones have an immediacy.
Vaporize innocent or not.

The billboard is simply reaffirming that all Americans, from sea to shining sea, have a right to acquire AIDS.

Patience is a great virtue.

Here, since the conservatives here are mentally challenged when it comes to using the Internet to back up their wild claims:

"Can you describe how HIV/AIDS is a civil rights issue?

It’s a civil rights issue because it afflicts anyone. Anyone can have AIDS. And it’s a civil rights issue because people who have AIDS, more so in the past than now, used to be stigmatized and pushed aside. “This person is diseased. I’ll catch the disease; I’ll die from the disease; I don’t want to have anything to do with this person. This person had the disease because he did something wrong; he engaged in risky behavior, risky sexual behavior or sexual behavior I don’t approve of, and so therefore I should shun this person, put this person aside.”

And that’s a civil rights issue, the marginalization of somebody because of who they are or a condition they have that they didn’t wish upon themselves. That’s wrong, and that’s a civil rights issue.

… Is it about discrimination?

It’s surely about discrimination, and discrimination is wrong. It doesn’t matter if you’re discriminated against because you’re tall or short or white or black or whatever. Whatever your discriminatory aspect, the fact that you’re discriminated against is wrong, and all of us should rise up against that. All of us should protest against that."

Let's see the race-baiters and racists above get some time outs, Chris.

It's always interesting to watch Liberals when go after other Liberals. Don Lemon is an openly gay reporter for CNN. He does not like that openly gay figure skater Johnny Weir is a fabulous dresser. According to Lemon "And let me just say this I had this conversation with a friend about Johnny Weir and other people who have, who are out and proud," Lemon said on CNN's Newsroom program to host Carol Costello. "No one likes a gay minstrel show. So let's just put that out there."
So in Lemon's world it's okay to be gay just not too flamboyant because that would put gays like him in a bad light. I love how they think.

Any statement I make is the opinion of me exercising my first amendment right to freedom of speech. Freedom of speech in the United States is protected by the First Amendment to the United States Constitution and is generally permitted.

Hey everyone, Fred's now doing the capital L LLLLLLLLLiberal thing to try to troll harder.

Statements made are the opinion of the writer who is exercising his first amendment right to freedom of speech. Freedom of speech in the United States is protected by the First Amendment to the United States Constitution and are generally permitted.

This is a great story about Liberal think. Guy posts what minorities consider racist, guy belongs to union, union defends his actions. http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2014/02/14/disrespectful-and-humiliating...

Any statement I make is the opinion of me exercising my first amendment right to freedom of speech. Freedom of speech in the United States is protected by the First Amendment to the United States Constitution and is generally permitted.

If "AIDS is a civil rights issue" then all sexually transmitted diseases are.

Once you realize that, and how foolish the AIACRI assertion is in the first place, then you know you're not a Liberal. Good for you; go get a cookie for yourself since you're a reasonable citizen.

You can cure pretty much everything except Herpes, Hep, and AIDS.

Some Hep you can vaccinate against. Herpes has a vaccine currently in trials.

You get chlamydia, gonorrhea, etc. you take your antibiotics and you're good to go.

Then there's all the complications of having AIDS to avoid body fluid exchange etc. which is where the stigma comes in. But you're aware of that and chose to be a trollish dick anyway.

* barring a couple cases where it's "undetectable" after bone marrow transplants to treat cancer in AIDS patients, see also Google for more info

The cure-ability of a disease is irrelevant. My point remains. "Civil rights" implies the government is tasked to do something about the issue. But Humans don't have civil rights with respect to virii and bacteria.

You Liberals will never understand, since according the the latest copy of The Liberal Bible, the government has all the power in society and as such, is tasked to exert it.

Why was MLK jr's picture on the billboard linked to aids + civil rights? Why not use LBJ's or the peanut farmer for that matter?

Um you have the link to the website, WHY NOT GO ASK THEM. Duh.

Typical liberal responses here

Um, er, uh,

Thinking like a liberal is easy. You start with a regular person, and remove reason and accountability.

No, that is thinking like a conservative. No reason (see also Ted Cruz/radical Tea Party members and government shutdown and Creationism and prayer in schools and climate change denial and so on) and no accountability (GOP socialization of failure of big businesses, blaming divorce rate, crime rate, etc etc on gay marriage, feminism, abortions, marijuana, lack of Christian faith), plus you also remove all compassion and empathy (the conservative attitude being "I got mine so F you") .

40+ votes by House conservatives to repeal Obamacare and how many Benghazi hearings yet no demands for accountability from the financial industry and no bankers in prison. Which is part of how the Tea Party ORIGINALLY started, since you forgot.

Something about glass houses and living in denial and cognitive dissonance and irony.

Conservatives -- LLOONNGG on opinion and ideology; short on facts!
