Dems Get Ready To Fill Seat

The local paper says the Dems are getting together to pick the person to replace Collins in District 2 http://www.toledoblade.com/Politics/2013/12/30/Dems-to-meet-to-make-endo... But they are having trouble finding Clark Felgner, I don't understand why https://www.facebook.com/clark.felgner?fref=ts and then of course there's this http://www.toledoblade.com/Daily-Log/2011/10/12/Daily-Log-10-12.html maybe they can't find him because he sold his house in 2012

No votes yet

They're missing the boat if they don't pick the best Democrat in the City--Jon Stainbrook.

http://www.toledoblade.com/Politics/2013/12/30/Dems-to-meet-to-make-endo... They missed the boat on Stainbrook, but another boat came along and they hopped on that one.

Fred it was brought to my attention that your divorce was recently finalized. I believe you were married for a long time. That's a tough one and it explains why you were a-wall on the blogs about a month ago. I don't blame you for complaining about that picture posted here either. Maybe this will give you a new outlook on life! Knowing your financial situation and it's probable outcome after this will force what could be a positive change. I know others who've gone through this and many were able to make a new start. I think it best you move from Toledo as a first step.

I don't see the relevance of this to the topic of this post but as usual many of your posts don't have anything to do with the topics at hand. I won't be leaving Toledo anytime in the near future but instead will continue to point out your continued mistakes both in fact and logic.

Didn't see the need to make a new thread on this subject but since you love to post from the Blade here and other places I offer this from the Blade Daily Log. http://www.toledoblade.com/Daily-Log/2013/12/16/Daily-Log-12-16-2013.html Now there's the tie-in on this subject: Your posting of others shortcomings from the Blade Daily Log.

Freducation the hard way:
This is a word of warning for anyone who is contemplating marriage: 50% end in divorce. After the breakup most live in poverty or in financial distress. https://www.mint.com/blog/planning/the-financial-impact-of-divorce-062012/ The radio host will probably have to work long into his sixties maybe even his seventies hawking gold, beds and financial planners.

I hope this doesn't further inflame his hatred of those who have union pensions and/or are still happily married. I mean its his choice to work as a "at will" employee but to force his bias on those that are doing better with union contracts is just plain spiteful and envious. Those of us who have union affiliation despite all the warts are doing much better that those who live in RTW America. My personal opinion is the negative tone of his radio show has filtered back into his personal life. Sadly I believe he couldn't separate the two. I've said this before but was rebuffed, you really should, if you aren't now, seek treatment for Depression. You exhibit all the symptoms. One positive, his children are now adults but doesn't the Catholic Church frown on divorce?

Indy, given the sentiments you've expressed here, I'm sure there are many who won't mind at all if something terrible occurs in your household this year. In fact, some may be hoping for it.

Patience is a great virtue.

I certainly don't wish him any ill will. I will however continue to point out his ignorance and mistakes. It won't be because of any perceived anger over my divorce or financial choices, simply the continued battle against the ignorant sheep like behavior exhibited by so many voters both Democrat and Republican.

Sorry if you can't see the big picture here Don. Maybe you've suffered from this subject in your past and I'm sorry. My assessment maybe raw and hard hitting so-be-it. I don't have a radio megaphone to bash working people or point out or make up people's shortcomings on a daily basis. This blog may reach on average a high of 500 hits, not a large audience at all considering his radio presence. Of that only a few can guess who we're talking about by not using real names. But I agree with your drift in general, his negative hatred of minorities, union people and well just about anyone has manifested in his home life. I think the poor man is suffering from Depression from his daily grind of negative exposure to Libertarian talking points that would drive anyone nuts. You and I are able to turn the channel and listen to other views, music but its his job to be absorbed/immersed in this extreme propaganda every hour of every day. Just think he needs to lighten up for his own mental health. I've had experience with people suffering from Depression so I think I know a cry for help if I see it.

Your assessment was anything but "hard-hitting" and more so the product of a juvenile mind. And since you bring up the topic of mental health, look in the mirror and ask yourself how you developed your obsession with Fred's radio program, whatever comments he may choose to post here, and Fred personally. I'm convinced he is the first person you think about when you wake up in the morning. It's as if Fred completes you. That's not healthy at all.

Patience is a great virtue.

The caller sounds like a complete fool at every turn and never answers the questions put to him. I would have loved to keep him on longer but he wussed out and hung up when he got a text from a friend we both know who told him he was sounding stupid.

Don don't you tire of media propaganda that saturates every aspect of our daily life? I can't tell how many times I hear these phony talking points recited as fact in casual conversation. It's as if the American people have lost their collective minds. Now comes my point, I cannot give my opinion to Rurpert Murdoch's FoxNews but I can post my opinions here about a local radio station turned into a propaganda outlet. Your accusation that I'm picking on poor Fredo is opinion as you may know I gave the same treatment to his mentor Herr Wilson. It's the propaganda not the person that I attack. In fact I was somewhat simpathedic to Fredo's plight working under his moronic boss. I think much of Fredo's problems stem from working under that clown. It's been a year since the goof was given the boot, long enough for Fredo to knock off all the bad habits he learned.

So here we are 2014 Fredo has a new boss Scott Sands. Scott is a conservative but not a raging idiot that he replaced. I can listen to Scott, have communicated with him over the last year. Find him a good fit for the radio station. Hell he's getting a reputation as being fair. So he gets the big interviews. Now Fredo has moved somewhat to the center but not far enough for most fair minded Toledoans. I don't listen to him much at all but when I do scan the AM dial his negative hatred is still alive and well dwelling on minorities, city workers, and unions. It would be nice if Fredo could learn a thing or two from his new boss. Scott's opinions are moderate. He doesn't sound like a modern day Hitler spewing off like an ignorant buffoon. I know Fredo will again attack me any way he can for this posting. He will tell you one thing or another but the fact is this all started with the practice of hanging up on callers who disputed the daily radio talking points. This practice became so routine that the only way to give a contrarian opinion was to post on the local blogs. I can't tell you how many time this happened to me. Maggie, Fred, Brain all either hung up on callers or potted over the conversation when it wasn't going their way. I finally gave up and became a regular blog poster.

Don, speaking of hanging up on people be sure to listen to the very end of that call. DMHI was on longer than most callers and still decided to hang up after receiving the text msg from our mutual friend telling him what a fool he was making of himself.

Fred you got a text message? I never received one. Sounds like another wild lie. Anyway I can feel the hate here. Remember we had that discussion some time ago about seeking counseling. You said you went to your therapist. Have you resumed treatment since the divorce?

I find it amusing that a friend of yours would call Paul a friend.

Sounds fishy doesn't it? Most people I know don't listen to WSPD.

Why would they need to. You listen enough for 10 people.

First, the use of personal attacks seems immature (and demonstrates an inability to form and communicate a topic-appropriate comment).

Second, if one takes great joy in tossing personal attacks, it is suggested that one take great care in the composition of such assault. Thus, in the future, please take the time to select the correct word(s) or abbreviations.

For example, "explains why you were a-wall." I believe you meant "AWOL." You're welcome!

Since, in your eyes, no Republican can be bad and...since you can't stand Jon Stainbrook, the Chair of the Lucas County Republican Party, he must be a Democrat. This only makes sense in Galtland, otherwise known as the Land of Egypt, or Land of De-Nile.

No matter what you (or I) may think of Jon, he is the elected leader of local Republicans. Who ever elected you anything, Galt?

As far as Jon really being a Democrat, I seem to remember a very recent confrontation on the Lucas County Board of Elections, where Jon was the only member, in a 3-1 decision, to vote against Xmas bonuses for some employees. The 2 Democrats were joined by the other Republican member in voting for the bonuses.

Sorry, Galt. If it looks like a Republican, walks like a Republican, and votes like a Republican, it's a Republican. Jon is definitely a Republican through and through!

Since you seem to like sayings (e.g. "If it walks like a duck..."), here's another one--"It takes one to know one."

It's OK, Galt. Dale's a Liberal operative. His job is to denounce the rightwing by any means necessary.

I understood what you meant the first time. I know people who knew "The Stain" pretty well. Jon's in this for himself. He bows towards JRB as required and essentially took over the local (and clearly weak) Republican Party machine. He minds it for Block.

Dale could take equal glee with being honest about that, since it illustrates there's no significant rightwing organization here in Toledo, other than self interest, and we know full well what that is doing (i.e. it's either keeping its money close, or it's leaving).

Dale will just titter and snigger away his remaining retired years, since he knows the pension checks stolen from us will keep on coming. He's really no better than The Stain. We have an entire Boomer generation to flush down the tubes before America can even hope to get better... they, and their ridiculous open-ended pensions and health benefits and predatory financial environment. Things literally can't get better in Toledo until its Dales die off.

As far as being a "Liberal operative," it depends upon what your definition of "operative" is. I was an elected union leader, while I taught full-time for most of the 35 years I was a teacher. As a retiree last year, I did work on the Obama campaign full-time for about 5 weeks. If those facts make me a "Liberal operative," then I am one.
I will not make any apologies for my work. Before I was a teacher, I spent 15 years working with my father in his very small business. My retirement occurred after 50 years of work. My father was a lifelong entrepreneur, as was his father before him, and two of his three brothers. I appreciate small business people far more than you may believe I do.
As far as The Stain is concerned, I've never met him and have no intentions to do so. I know what it's like to stand for election in any forum. Unless you're hiding some information, neither you nor Galt has ever been elected to any public or political office. The Stain has. That's simply a fact.
When I was young, it was my hope that all of the self-centered, self-indulgent, myopic conservatives would die out. New ones took their places. The same is true for "Liberal operatives." Chelsea Clinton turns 35 soon. After Hillary in 2016 and 2020, maybe Chelsea in 2024? Just send chills up my spine! How about you, GZ and Galt?

Thanks for admitting that you're a Liberal operative. I couldn't have asked for a better confession.

"I will not make any apologies for my work."

The public is as dumb as it ever was, a pure product of the public 'education' system you're responsible for. So you should apologize.

' The same is true for "Liberal operatives." '

I'd love to see you hold them to account for that, even once, on this forum. But you don't. All you do is follow your Liberal Operative Handbook (Copyright 1992 The DNC) and screech like a banshee about Republicans trying to make our society into the Hunger Games or something equally absurd.

The elections of 2014 are going to see a bonfire of Liberal vanity. Obamacare alone will ensure that. You Liberals hooked your wagons to the wrong horse. You chose to oppose gun rights, and that cost you. You chose to back unions, and that cost you. You chose to back Obamcare, and that's going to cost you. So, hey, I've got a wacky idea... how about choosing to back the U.S. Constitution and see if that does you some good.

If the United States has produced such poor quality people, why is it that we still have the largest economy in the world, greater than #2 and #3 COMBINED!? BTW -- the #2 country by GDP is Communist China!! And, of course, because China has more than 4 times as many people as we do, their per capita GDP isn't even close to ours! We're also far ahead in per capita GDP of Japan, the #3 in GDP. Why is it, with all of our economic problems, the overwhelming number of economists state that the U.S. economy is bouncing back from the Great Recession better than any of the countries in Europe? Why is it that tens of millions of people are in this country illegally, and almost all want to become U.S. citizens? If, in your mind, things are so bad here, why aren't Americans fleeing this country by the millions to get a better life, just as their ancestors came here by the millions to this country? And, if things are so bad in the U.S., why are you still here GZ?

The United States is the greatest country in the history of the world. And our people, with all of their flaws, make up the greatest group of people any large country has been fortunate enough to have!

Well, the crack-reporting staff at the Blade apparently doesn't have the ability to access Google. It seems that rascal Clark was arrested by Toledo Police on 11/25/13. I bet they would have an address for him.

If you would like to see a photo of Clark, click on the site below, then on the November 26, 2013, and you'll see Clark on Page 9. I don't know, I think Clark had "future mayor" written all over him!

http://www.toledocrime.com/

The Blade would be far more eager to determine his address if Clark had just made a few honest videos of Toledo's decaying infrastructure and then posted them to YouTube under a moniker like EconClark88.

LOL!
