it's Almost Time To Celebrate The Coming Of Jesus, The Greatest Man Of Color Ever Born On Earth.

Eleven days from now most people in the United States and two billion people around the world will celebrate the first coming of Jesus of Nazareth. Members of all races and ethnic groups will worship this great man of color. Merry Christmas everyone.

AMEN! I wish people of color were taught that Jesus was not a white, blonde haired, blue eyed man, maybe then more of them would begin to act in Christ like ways instead of playing knock out.

Any statement I make is the opinion of me exercising my first amendment right to freedom of speech. Freedom of speech in the United States is protected by the First Amendment to the United States Constitution and is generally permitted.

The Knock Out story was about Black people randomly attacking Whites. I get the impression I am impylying that Jesus was Black. Let me set the record straight. History shows that the Jewish people in that region during that time were Black Africans. Jesus was Black also. The King James Version of The African Heritage Bible confirms it. If anyone wants a citation, they can buy the Bible and read it themselves.

Agreed on Jesus. The knock out story shows Jesus' people not acting in Christ like ways was my point.

who are "knock out" idiots are followers of Jesus. Really, Fred. I do expect better from you. If one's granny attends a Christian church, that does not make one a follower of Jesus. As a matter of fact, many people who regularly attend a Christian church themselves, are not true followers of Jesus.
Pope Francis wants all Christians, indeed all people, to live their lives in a way to honor Jesus. He wants us all to be our brothers' keepers, to be generous, and to be empathetic toward those who are less fortunate than ourselves. That is the antithesis of those who perpetrate these "knock outs."

Underscore Dale's post. Hardly think a Deity is concerned with a few gradients of skin hue. The thread title and intent is another matter entirely. You've only got 10 days left to open your heart. Better get busy fella.

Dale, Fred is merely demonstrating that there is a very thin line between racist and race-baiter.

Patience is a great virtue.

He was a swarthy young man, indeed. Greatly resembled his cousin John, he of the coarse black hair. Likely stood no taller than 5-foot-2, from what I've read.

Patience is a great virtue.

"By the way. I also said Jesus is white," she said Friday [referring to her statement that Santa Claus is white]. "As I've learned in the past two days, that is far from settled."
And you guys are so sure if yourselves that Jesus had semitic physical characteristics! According to this popular Fox News on-air personality, this issue is, "far from settled." So there!!

Check your Bible, it says, his hair was like the wool of sheep and his feet were the color of brass.

Don't you know that Fox News is watched by more Americans than any other news source? This means that Fox News is always right!
How dare you use facts to refute Megyn Kelly's opinion! Ideologues, like most on-air personalities on Fox News, hate facts! They simply ignore facts which refute their opinions.
How dare you challenge Megyn Kelly's statement that the issue is, "far from settled," using, as your argument, merely the revealed word in your bible! Blasphemy!

You've been gone, what, a year or so? Bellevue Hospital perhaps?

anyone else who quotes the bible out here always cites chapter and verse. I know you refuse to do such things because you tend to twist em. BUT ~ I will hep ya out...

"And I turned to see the voice that was speaking with me. And having turned, I saw seven golden lampstands; and in the middle of the lampstands one like the Son of Man, clothed in a robe reaching to the feet, and girded across His breast with a golden girdle. And His head and His hair were white like wool, like snow; and His eyes were like a flame of fire; and His feet were like burnished bronze, when it had been caused to glow in a furnace, and His voice was like the sound of many waters. And in His right hand He held seven stars, and out of His mouth came a sharp two-edged sword; and His face was like the sun shining in its strength. And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as a dead man. And He laid His right hand upon me, saying, 'Do not be afraid; I am the first and the last, and the living One; and I was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore, and I have the keys of death and of Hades." (Revelation 1:12-18).

Interesting how Zchuck conveniently left out the color white!! So was the author using the word 'wool' to describe the color of the hair, or the texture? Note also that the 'head AND hair were compared to white wool, and snow.... We wont know till we meet him I guess, but it is interesting how ZChuck just chose to highlight and delete that offensive word altogether, isn't it?

Hey ZChuck!! here's another verse for ya from the same book!!

Rev 22: 18-19 8 I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book, 19 and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book.

So you see fit to take words out to suit yourself? pretty dire warning M'boy!!

What is unmistakable is that Jesus was Jewish. Jewish men of the area of Israel and Palestine have been known to have coarse hair. The term Jew-fro accurately describes the hair of many jewish men.

Truth is Jesus appearance and race are very insignificant to understanding him as a religious leader. Every culture that has embraced Christianity has tailored the image of Jesus to resemble their culture.

In fact, the only one of Jesus and the apostles who has routinely been pictured with overtly Jewish features is that of Judas (coarse red hair, large nose, etc). This has helped to fuel antisemitism for centuries. So by unknowingly trying to paint Jesus as a race other than Jewish ZC is actually prolonging antisemitic stereotypes.

So Jesus had white hair, so what! So did Frederick Douglas and Mandela.

My point was why did you choose too edit the true text to fit your own needs? And you also neglect to address the true quote that said his head AND hair were white.

Now, I don't argue he was a person of color, I'm just questioning why you choose to cut out some pertainant points, as well as the words white, and snow?

You are asumming that every printing of the Bible is the same. Buy a copy of the African Heritage Bible if you want the most accurate version.

Why would that be the most accurate version of the bible?

MikeyA

Because the experts say so. Look it up yourself on the internet. Note: You must press keys on your keyboard to access the internet.

Jesus was a Jew, and Jews are not White. They are of Middle Eastern stock, just like the Arabs, etc..

Wilson's Bitch doesn't celebrate the coming of Jesus. He celebrates the cumming of his superior mush mouth on his face.! LOL

Hope I didn't offend anyone!

This is pretty funny DMHI. That you would take a religious event that millions around the world celebrate and turn it into something sexual. That's real talent. You do realize Wilson has been gone for more than a year now.

Donna (may I call you "Honey")--I bet you make your family proud!

Sure seems like DonnaHoney and and the former poster Bush Blows are one and the same...

Zeyadcharles has provided for us with a perfect example of the ignorance of liberals. I call it the "unable to connect the dots" syndrome.

Zeyadcharles has never met a Democrat he doesn't adore. Heck, if Hitler had a "D" after his name, he'd vote for him. Yet Zeyadcharles does not possess a level of intellect that allows him to see that the very politicians he loves are trying to bury any hint of religion in this Country. Go figure.

I don't quite understand where you're coming from. We all agree Jesus was an ultra liberal. Are you saying he was a Democrat?

Galt, for this particular type of individual, liberalism is in and of itself--their favorite form of religion.

The experts all agree, as do all sane and decent people, that the King James version is the best. Look it up.

The African Heritage Bible is a King James Version. Look it up.

How many people have looked up ANY of the asinine assertions put forth by this bird?

The idea of the truth scares, you, doesn't it? Soon, I will be posting ancient paintings of Jesus of Nazareth showing what he looked like. First, I want you to have plenty of time to make complete asses of yourselves.

Zey, I'm not sure if Jesus was an "ultra liberal" but from what we know of him, he never held a permanent job and always depended on others for food and shelter. We also know he had a least a few rich friends, including the guy who secured the large upper room for Jesus and his pals when they traveled to overcrowded Jerusalem for that fateful Passover.

Patience is a great virtue.

Rumor has it the property was owned by one of Donald Trump's relatives.

Let's say you are correct. Why would that scare anyone?

What Jesus looked like is irrelevant. His message is what was important. Do you not agree?

MikeyA

G-man, I actually looked this one up.

Surprisingly I did not find any such "experts" nor any type of asserting that there was a consensus that the African Heritage bible was more accurate than any others.

In all honesty the most "accurate" bible would be written in Greek, the "universal" language of the time. These would be early Hebrew scripts from the 2nd Century that were not a part of a "bible" but rather their own stand alone version of the events.

Those texts were only put together into a new testament in the 5th Century.

MikeyA

As when Mikey searched, also I found no expert assertions, and since no proof is being provided (as usual) from the poster I must assume they don't exist.

I was hoping to be able to look at the bible online so I could pull out the strongs concordance (also available free online) to compare ~ as mikey suggested ~ to the original greek, as I do with all versions of the Word that I read. (check Paul's visit to the folks in Berea for my reasoning...)

I was kind of surprised that the AH version is not available on line. I mean all the other versions are out there for all to read free of charge. the AH version must be purchased. Makes one wonder why that would be? One would think that the authors of the AH bible would want to spread the word of salvation to all of their target audience - an audience they keep saying is more needy than other groups - put apparently, this version is a FOR profit venture by it's author....

So, I thought what the heck, I went out to amazon to see if I could pick up a copy for a couple bucks - pretty much all the other versions have pew bibles that can be gotten for 2-3 dollars. the AH one ran about $25, so I declined. but in the customer review section, i did find this excerpt from a reader of the version:

"Don't read this it's just some racist propaganda with a black power slant. I'm black and a christian and this book is bias and doesn't lead people to unity but separation and hatred for our fellow man of every race. I believe and know black people are in the bible and God loves them just like all other people, but the mistake here is to exalt one race as superior than another and fill people with pride and bigotry...."

Just saying ~ ZChuck refuses to cite anything where he gets his claims from and tells us to look it up ourselves. So I did, and that's what I found. Not saying it's right, just saying it's out there and being that ZChuck posts nothing else to research....

You have provided no proof you actually searched. If you did search, your statements would be much different. Your post proves my point. You ignore the truth and invent statements to feed your ego and your short-sighted buddies.

Please explain how one proves a negative. And while you are at it, wouldn't just citing your sources be more intelligent?

People are bending over to check what you say, while when they post, they include their sources. We look for yours, don't find them, find info to the contrary and you call us names. Frankly, you are coming off like a bit of a kook.

Actually ZC he did provide proof. He provided a quote from a review.

That is more than you have done. Why don't you provide some proof for once?

MikeyA

As I expected you would not acknowledge the experts. So that you can be educated, type in black madonna and the truth will enlighten you. By the way I agree with Mikey A. Jesus' skin color is irrlevent.

ZC as much as I'd like to indulge you I cannot acknowlege an expert I cannot find.

Please tell me which one is the site of the "experts" and I will read it. https://www.google.com/#q=experts+agree+African+Heritage+bible+is+the+mo...

What is undoubtable is the African Heritage bible is an afro-centric bible and it appears from the search results to be a key reading in black liberation theology, a controversial subject. I found it interesting that this source states that it's based off of the King James Bible thus making the King James the "credible" document. http://www.cts.edu/library/documents/ChoosingABible-Vertical.pdf (page 27)

"By the way I agree with Mikey A. Jesus' skin color is irrelevant." Apparently you don't since you referenced it in the title and initial post. If it was irrelevant it would not have been mentioned.

MikeyA

Maybe my agenda is to show how closed minded some people are. The color of Jesus, God or Biblical people is insignificant to me. What is significant to me is how history ha been twisted and distorted where people want to blame all the bad things on oppressed people instead of trying to resolve misunderstadings and differences so we all can enjoy a qualiy life.

Maybe your agenda is a result of your own racist thoughts.

You claim color is insignificant of you yet it's your sole motive for almost every post.

The rest of your post is a distraction. I provided proof of a search and I asked you to point to which one shows the "experts" of which you speak.

MikeyA

Maybe my agenda is to show

Like Obama trying to do Right?

"DTOM" {1776} " We The People" {1791}

Who has an agenda? The Euro's? SB posters?

I think this map of the world is relevant to our many discussions with ZC.

MikeyA

So, to you, Obama is like God?

Often overlooked is that Jesus spoke perfect English, the better to confound his detractors with his innumerable parables. I don't believe it was coincidence that English became the native tongue of the New Jerusalem -- the United States of America.

Patience is a great virtue.

Amen, Donwert.

I have an accurate image of Jesus in my possession. The problem is that I have never pasted an image on this site. Will someone explain how to paste an image on this site?

I can google an image of a unicorn. Keep your craven image. Its just something some dude drew and you know it.

Resistance is Futile! You shall see the lord and then you will know him. If I could provide a photo or video, I would, but photos and videos were difficult to obtain in the 1 st Century AD.

Is your craven image painted on black velvet by any chance?

You realize this is just another statement you've made but are unable to back up?

Is your craven image painted on black velvet by any chance?

You realize this is just another statement you've made but are unable to back up?

I think his image is painted on/with "wild Irish rose"

Every image is a photograph, drawing or statue is something created by some dude. Nobody really knows, do we?

No you don't ZC. You do not own an accurate image of Jesus.

Such an image would be based upon sepeculation.

None of the narratives within the bible display a clear depiction of Jesus. They give brief snippets but none are a description intended for identification purposes. This means they are not accurate.

On top of that, all of the gospels and gnostic gospels were written long after Jesus' death. The earliest gospel is dated at almost 100 years after Jesus died (some date it at 40 yrs after) but the likelihood of that being a eyewitness account is greatly diminished.

Anything created based upon those descriptions is purely conjecture. You do not have an accurate image because one was never created. There is none. It does not exist.

MikeyA

The images I have are just as authentic or not as authentic as any other image out there. Yet, there are people who say God is White. Since no one has seen God, how does this clown, G-Man, conclude God is White. Sounds like an attitude of entitlement to me. When G-man goes through the transition he will gaze upon a dark skinned god and he will poop in his pants and want to repent, but it will be too late.

"The images I have are just as authentic or not as authentic as any other image out there." Uh, ok, let me explain this. It is not "accurate" or "authentic" because it's based upon a guess. Besides what you originally said was this "I have an accurate image of Jesus in my possession." you said accurate. It is not accurate and now you're changing the verbage to authentic to move the goal posts.

"Yet, there are people who say God is White." You are equally making an assertion about the color of Jesus. You are just as wrong as him.

Personally I believe God is infinite and eternal and thus if we were to define God I'd say God is a combination of matter and energy that transcends our understanding and time itself. If that is true then God creating us in his own image takes on a new meaning. (I use "his" in the previous sentence but I use that for brevity and understanding, I believe God transcends gender and is neither male nor female)

MikeyA

"Anything created based upon those descriptions is purely conjecture. You do not have an accurate image because one was never created. There is none. It does not exist."
MikeyA

I agree, but why are most of the images of Jesus we see are images of a Northern Europeans?

ZC

ZC, every culture has adapted the image of Jesus to reflect the images of that culture. Not just Europeans. And it's not just Jesus this has been done with. Our Lady of Guadalupe is actually a Aztec Goddess assimilated into Christianity.

The only reason the image of a European Jesus is seen so prevalent in our society is our society was primarily created by Europeans using European ideals and European views on religion.

If you go to the Philipines, guess what images of Jesus you'll see. Those with primarily asian features.

The first images of Jesus we find are not of northern europeans, they're Mediterranean in features.

MikeyA

I think Jesus' color is immaterial as well. He's the Son of God. God, the experts agree--is White. Look it up.

History tells a different story, G-Man.

Judaism is practiced by millions of a variety of races and ethnicities around the world. One of the most famous escapes of recent times was the airlifting of a few thousand Jews from Ethiopia to Israel via Sudan from 1984-1991, in three major Israeli and U.S. operations. I don't think that these Ethiopians were Caucasian, at least not light-skinned Caucasians, yet most Jews in America are light-skinned Caucasians. And guess what? There are Asian Jews as well.
There are varieties of Caucasians. Almost all Jews who existed on this planet during the time of Jesus were part of the dark-skinned Caucasians who make up the Semitic people. Most Arabs then and now (not most Muslims...remember -- Islam is a religion, not a race) are Semitic, as were Jesus and the other Jews of that era.

Obviously, since photography did not exist in the era of Jesus, no one can have an "accurate" picture of Jesus. And while the color of Jesus's skin should mean nothing, the depiction of Jesus as a light-skinned Caucasian with blond flowing locks, is clearly a racial statement by the many European and Euro-centric artists who wanted to depict Jesus as someone who looked a lot like the Europeans for whom the pictures were being painted. These artists wanted to be popular. These artists wanted to be employed. These artists wanted to build their clientele. So, they depicted the most popular religious symbol of the time to be as much like their perspective audience as possible. Duh! This does sort of makes one wonder...who made whom in whose "own image?"
In addition, such a consistent depiction by Euro-centrists, whether purposeful or not, strongly implies that the less one looks like Jesus, the lower that person is in the social order of the day. That, folks, is clearly racist. Does anyone really believe that Jesus wanted us to divide ourselves over his appearance? WWJD?!

I am certain that Jesus did not want us to divide us racially, but that's exactly what Europeans did. It's clear that Europeans created most of the images of Jesus we see today. Jesus came here in human form and that's all that should matter. But, it is clear that Europeans created a White Jesus to declare dominion over all other races. That is wrong and it has changed somewhat. It will continue to change.

God is STILL White.

No chance. The Book of Revelations says he is the color of Brass, not White. Read your Bible.

It says "the color of bronze, not brass, and bronze that is glowing in a furnace. Know what color bronze glows in a furnace? U can look it up....

You are messing up your distortions...

What Bible are you reading. I have several King James Bibles and none of them say anything about glowing in a furnace.

Look at it zed. Straight from the KJV. Admit you lied. Its Christmas.

His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire;

15 And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters.

U want me to include the translation straight from a concordance? I can provide it.

When brass is burned in a furnace the result is not white, but the end result is a dark color when it becomes usable. You must be blind, my friend. I want to thank you for crucifying me on this site. My words of truth are being crucified like the words of the truth as spoken by the Master. It is an honor.

God is White---sez me.

That's the point, people say something long enough they.ll convince themselves of anything.

It's one thing to make a claim or have an opinion.

It's another to claim that their opinion is "accurate" and they have "experts" who agree.

MikeyA

You don't want to accept the experts because the truth they tell doesn't support your agenda.
