Kathleen Sebelius' Ohio connections--makes us proud!

If we had a U.S. President who actually cared--and possessed one iota of leadership qualities--Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius would be out-of-work today. The disaster of the ObamaCare website rollout should be enough to fire Sebelius. But then that would require Obama to make a decision.

Sebelius was born in Cincinnati and is the daughter of former Ohio governor John Gilligan. As an Ohioan, I feel proud.

Maybe Sebelius should demonstrate some moral fortitude and just step down.

No votes yet

Why would she step down? She knows you have no power to do anything to her. Why leave the gravy train just because people are yelling at her from outside?

Sure, we can note she's a goober, but it makes no difference. Her boss, Obama, has become one of the worst Presidents we ever hard. Get used to this corruption. It's what the Liberals wanted.

She AND her husband have been politically connected insiders, starting with their families of origin... their entire lives:

And therefore would have NO conception of how ordinary workaday Americans live their lives. Amazing. Prior to your post, I had no interest in looking up info on this feminazi - all feminazi's look alike to me.

Isn't her background the "privileged" life that Democrats claim to find odious? Ah well, I never understood why dirt-poor West Virginians voted repeatedly for Jay Rockefeller either [although he was not going to be re-elected in the upcoming election & made the obvious decision not to run again to avoid embarrassment].

Bin Laden: Goal is to bankrupt U.S.
http://www.cnn.com/2004/WORLD/meast/11/01/binladen.tape/
Quote:
"We are continuing this policy in bleeding America to the point of bankruptcy. Allah willing, and nothing is too great for Allah," bin Laden said in the transcript. He said the mujahedeen fighters did the same thing to the Soviet Union in Afghanistan in the 1980s, "using guerrilla warfare and the war of attrition to fight tyrannical superpowers."

Another serious question: If GWB is out of office, and bin Laden is dead, then why do Obama and the Democrats keep borrowing huge amounts of money?

GZ asks,"why do Obama and the Democrats keep borrowing huge amounts of money?" Simple we've lost in the global economy through Wall Street trade agreements and a criminal banking system. The economy cannot sustain itself with a minimum wage economy. If you ain't got a job or that job doesn't allow for disposable income well it filters through everything. So the Fed is forced to prop up our dysfunctional economy.

If you've ever actually "propped" something up, you would know you're choosing the wrong metaphor. A prop can support what's on top of it. Massive borrowing can't. Massive borrowing is like using a high-pressure water hose to support something; eventually it turns off or the supported item slips to the side and falls due to meta-stability, and then it's all wet and ruined anyway.

You've still got this mentality that massive borrowing isn't actually a cost, and for that matter, an increased cost into the future. You clearly believe massive borrowing is just some magic technique that the government pulls out of a hat when there are bad times, and then it stuffs it back into the hat when the "emergency" is over.

Can't you even see your own biases? You support the present administration without reservation, blaming instead previous administration and/or associated institutions. You blame everyone except your chosen President and therefore his political party.

Also: The economy where people get big pay, bigger benefits and truly massive pensions, can't sustain itself. Ever. You also can't run a huge military-industrial complex on the minimum-wage economy (MWE). And yet, a MWE is what we'll have to adopt, since the global mean wage is about $2/hr. You insisted your stores be packed with cheap consumer goods. (Don't bother denying that one; it's in all of our culture.) But you can't have cheap consumer goods without having cheap labor and cheap (i.e. non-existent) environmental regulations. Americans WANT to become a MWE, as demonstrated from nearly every purchasing decision they make.

It's really just autistic to believe that you somehow will keep earning the American median household income of $48K, while all around you there's a MWE-supplied set of products and services. That only worked when the USA was a superpower. Now we're shit. People freely laugh at American power and trade oil in Euros for more laughs. So the artificial means of propping up the American consumer are dead over. This free fall of wages you're seeing is what happens when those props are kicked out. The new, lower American level will be found. After all, every time you bought a cheap foreign product, you demanded that of your fellow men... and one day, your own pink slip must arrive. Or your wages are cut. Or your benefits package is "re-negotiated". Or your pension bankrupts.

No I don't clearly believe massive borrowing is just some magic technique. We've been led to this trough by thirty + years of Reagonomics and now we have no options other than the corrupt political system the works for the 1%. This thing is going after powerless you and me. It will strip any benefit we thought we would have in our old age and give it to the huge for profit military-industrial complex. You and I know that to be competitive in the world we need a competitive military and healthcare system that reflects what our other trading partners are spending. Until we get that we're all doomed.

Oh, stop. It's not Reaganomics; it's Corporate Socialism. It's Democrepublicanomics. The two major parties are full subscribers. So your Obama votes in 2008 and 2012 only supported the system.

We don't need to be competitive in the world, either. We have 310 million people in the United States alone. We can service our own people. But, oops! That means no pension for you! Also no squatting on a massive, Boomer-era, petroleum-fed stock market portfolio.

You keep denying you're part of the problem but I can tell that every personal decision you make is part of the problem. The reality is the working class like myself has to stop believing it will be rich and comfortable. It has to do less with less. That means smaller housing. Smaller cars. Less travel. Less health care. Less heating in the winter, and less cooling in the summer. I do these things, largely. I'm at, where the working class has to go. And I'd bet my bottom dollar that you'd wrinkle your nose if you saw how I lived. You wouldn't want to live next to me. Heck, you probably live in the exurbs with the rest of the White Flighters, taking part in your own personal doom of debt and spending on bills, more bills and even more bills.

This is the problem that I have with you. The fundamental hypocrisy of you. Adopt actual frugal probity before you speak with me again.

I think it's because of the long-running feud between Wolfman & Fred....

But Wolfman lives in Ottawa Lake, Michigan, if I am not mistaken. And Ottawa Lake is something of a countryside location. In other words - away from the madding crowds. Away from the cities and city problems. When Wolf & I were kids or maybe in our teens, they used to run this public service announcement on television - a cartoon man would run and hide behind a cartoon tree. And the announcer in the background would intone something like, you can't hide from society's problems. I thought the "spot" was stupid, but they ran it over and over and over for a few years.

But I have noticed over the years, starting especially with the Vietnam era, that a lot of liberal Dems try to do just that, hide from society's problems - which they then add to with their liberal votes. Cruella DeVille's recent appearance before Congress is another great example of how liberals don't live what they preach to begin with. Cruella (aka Kathleen Sebelius) was heard off camera, but on a live mic saying "Don't do this to me" -- when she was asked whether she would give up her elitist (my word) taxpayer-paid insurance, and join one of the insurance exchanges, like she and BO are forcing ordinary Americans to do. And this hard core liberal Dem WHINES... "Don't do this to me." [more on that later]

Liberals are hypocrites, it's that simple. Having said that, your "Demorepublicanonomics" is right on the money. Ted Nugent calls them the Republicrats. It's also why both Republicans and Dems are on search and destroy missions against Ted Cruz with 2014 and 2016 coming up. Most members (not all by any means) of congress are pre-occupied with preserving their "jobs" - not preserving the Republic. And they are so blinded by their own ambitions, that they truly DON'T see that when the Republic goes down the drain, so will their elitist lives of privilege.

As I said, more about Sebelius later. But when I started doing just a cursory search on her, I was amazed - really amazed. They have been grooming this idiot for YEARS. She wasn't just some casual pick for HHS Secretary. They have been looking for a slot for her to rise to fame. I think that Obama was most likely TOLD that she was going to be HHS Secretary. I doubt he even knew who she was the year before she was installed.
