NPR-No profit realized

In a press release issued Friday, National Public Radio announced one of the largest staff cuts in its history; 10% of the organization's 840 employees will be offered a voluntary buyout. The Washington Post reports that this is due to a "budding financial crisis," including a $6.1 million deficit. Due to filing laws for non-profits, we also learned that the Tea Party-bashing CEO forced to resign in 2011 was paid over a half-million dollars in severance and bonuses.

Currently, American taxpayers subsidize the left-wing NPR to the tune of around $450 million annually, some of which went to Vivian Schiller (pictured), the chief executive forced to resign in 2011 after she was caught on tape denigrating the Tea Party, conservatives in general, and appearing to agree with the idea that Jews run the media.

A $6.1 million deficit would be absolutely delightful to the C-level staff at Clear Channel. Last year Clear Channel lost $424 million, up from FY2011's $302 million loss.

There's a city full of walls you can post complaints at

Of course the difference hand, and read slowly so you understand every word, none of the money being lost by CC is yours. The government doesn't take your tax dollars and give them to CC like they do to NPR. You understand that right? You know somewhere deep in your heart that the money you work for each day goes to NPR and that last year they lost $6.1 M of it and you have no control over that. You get that don't you?

Did Clear Channel receive federal tax credits or deductions equivalent to two percent of their budget last year?

I have no idea, why don't you look it up. If they did will you try to use the argument that a tax deduction or credit is the same as the govt. taking you money from your paycheck and giving it to NPR?
