HOMOSEXUAL MARRIAGE IS WRONG

It's been a well known fact that the Democrats have supported homosexual marriage for years (I will not say gay) but now so are the Republicans. Both of the major parties have gone crazy as well as (if you believe the polls) a majority of the American people. This is a good reason for Christians to completely become disentangled from politics and focus on the Scripture and the well being of their own soul. We are left with only one option: praying for all of those who are swept up in this crazy movement. It goes against every teaching of the Bible and it offends me, as it should any sensible person but all we can do is pray for these people.
Genesis 2:24 (NKJV)

24 Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.

The Bible does not say let a man marry a man or a woman marry a woman.

Romans 1:26-27 (NKJV)
26 For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. 27 Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.

Sarge,
I agree with you on everything except the fact that we Christians should disentangle ourselves from politics. Why should we let the un-godly take over our country which was founded on Christian principals?

To encourage you, just last week thousands of Biblical centered Christian pastors went to Washington D.C. to hand Bibles to each and every Congressmen and House Reps. Most of these politicians do not agree with same sex marriage...but are being pressured by the militant and angry high dollar sodomite community and its backers.

We are seriously losing the culture war because we as Christians have remained silent for to many years and let the ungodly take over our churches and try to change simple Biblical truths...that marriage is the picture of Jesus Christ being joined to His bride...the Church. Does it surprise you that homosexuals want the one thing (marriage) that God has ordained between man and woman? It shouldn't....them getting marriage legalized (in their eyes...not God's) is the ultimate slap in the face to a God with standards, by people who want to fulfill the lust of the flesh, who do not want any absolute authority.

Stay encouraged Sarge, continue to pray for our leaders not to succumb to the homosexual lobbyists...and never fall into the pressure of thinking your a bigot or homo-phobe because you adhere to the Holy Scriptures which proclaim...

Romans 1:24-27 - Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: (Read More...)

Leviticus 18:22 - Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it [is] abomination.

1 Corinthians 6:9-10 - Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor homosexuals, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, (Read More...)

Do not let local radio show hosts like Fred Lefebvre convince you that "is how you INTERPET" the Bible." I am still not sure what part of Thou Shall Not and Shall Not Inherit the Kingdom of Heaven" Fred needs to interpet. God is a pretty straight forward God.

From Kooz: I agree with you on everything except the fact that we Christians should disentangle ourselves from politics. Why should we let the un-godly take over our country which was founded on Christian principals?

That is correct thinking. The idea is that we all have a voice that the government is supposed to listen to. If we remain silent we are giving tacit approval to homosexual marriage.

You want to try explaining to your children why it's alright for Johnny to have two fathers? No? Well don't worry Sport, just send them to public school and the school will take care of all that for you - you won't have to do a thing. And you can look forward to all that good teaching to carry right over to sex education as well. How's that for a deal? Your very own tax dollars at work.

And should you think too much about home schooling, you'd best be mindful of the government's take on that one. What they allow now is not what they are going to allow in the future.

Quoting Leviticus, really?
No wearing a beard like Mohammad? See YOU in HELL!
Leviticus 19:27
"You shall not round off the side-growth of your heads nor harm the edges of your beard."

Like pulled pork? See YOU in HELL!
Leviticus 11:8
"You shall not eat of their flesh nor touch their carcasses; they are unclean to you."

Got “mom” tat’d on the arm? See YOU in HELL!
Leviticus 19:28
"You shall not make any cuts in your body for the dead nor make any tattoo marks on yourselves: I am the Lord."

Like your cotton shits blended with 10% polyester? See YOU in HELL!
Leviticus 19:19
"You are to keep My statutes. You shall not breed together two kinds of your cattle; you shall not sow your field with two kinds of seed, nor wear a garment upon you of two kinds of material mixed together."

Heading over the Red Lobster for Lobster Fest? See YOU in HELL!
Leviticus 11:10
"But whatever is in the seas and in the rivers that does not have fins and scales among all the teeming life of the water, and among all the living creatures that are in the water, they are detestable things to you."

Been divorced? See YOU in HELL!
Should we outlaw divorce? The New Testament isn't overly keen...

Mark 10:9 reads, "What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate."

Mark 10:11-12, "And He said to them, 'Whoever divorces his wife and marries another woman commits adultery against her; and if she herself divorces her husband and marries another man, she is committing adultery.

Ears pierced or wear a wedding ring? See YOU in HELL!
1 Timothy 2:9
"Likewise, I want women to adorn themselves with proper clothing, modestly and discreetly, not with braided hair and gold or pearls or costly garments."

Stop picking and choosing what you believe from the bible and shut the HELL up.

People can try to twist and turn the scriptures any way they want to try to justify their actions but when they go to meet God they will see how wrong they have been. All of these commentators and opinionmakers that are bending over backwards (no pun intended) trying to justify these morally depraved people getting married are just as sick as these people are. I would love to hear what the founder of the Moral Majority, Jerry Falwell would have to say about all of this.

Exodus 21:10- If he takes another wife to himself, he shall not diminish her food, her clothing, or her marital rights/ so I gues the bible says I can have two wives as long as I don't diminish the first one.

Exodus 21:20- “If a man beats his male or female slave with a rod and the slave dies as a direct result, he must be punished, 21 but he is not to be punished if the slave gets up after a day or two, since the slave is his property/ so I guess the bible says I can have slaves, and if I beat them it's okay if they get up after a day or two

Genesis 38 9-10- But Onan knew that the child would not be his; so whenever he slept with his brother’s wife, he spilled his semen on the ground to keep from providing offspring for his brother. What he did was wicked in the LORD’s sight; so the LORD put him to death also/ so I guess I can sleep with my brother's wife as long as I don't spill my seed on the ground

Any statement I make is the opinion of me exercising my first amendment right to freedom of speech. Freedom of speech in the United States is protected by the First Amendment to the United States Constitution and is generally permitted.

His brother was dead and he was supposed to lay with his brother's wife to produce an offspring for his brother. The Bible does not say to commit adultery, that is spoken against in the Ten Commandments. You can try to disparage the Bible all you want but see where it gets you when you go up for judgement. The one thing that no one can stump me on is the Bible.

I never claimed he was committing adultery. And judgement is the one thing in this whole argument that most people forget. It is not ours to deliver, it is His.
You may want to read the story of David and Bathsheba. David didn't want to commit adultery so instead he just sent her husband to be killed in battle instead, lucky Uriah eh?
Abraham and Sarah were half siblings, maybe you can explain that to me with all your bible knowledge.

Your close, but no cigar. The deal with David was that he wanted Bathsheba without any interference from her husband, hence sending him into the field. Yes, David wanted to commit adultery.

With what David had done. He didn't take David's kingdom but He took the life of his child seven days after he was born. David fasted and prayed and tried to change God's mind but it didn't work. God deals with us for our sins.
It is not being judgemental to quote what the Bible says about homosexuality being a sin. The Bible is very clear about that as any good Christian knows. I wonder how many true Christians make up the early morning radio listening audience?

I have no idea since I don't ask. My guess would be that many of the people who listen in the morning have divorced, cheated on taxes, lied to someone, lusted in their hearts, committed adultery, etc etc and stil consider themselves Christians despite their many sins. There are probably a number of Catholics who listen who use brith control, who are gay, and who decide not to procreate but still consider themselves Catholic. I guess I should have my phone screener start asking.

I liken homosexual marriage to grade school when you pretend like you married a member of your class. It's the same thing with two men or two women claiming to have a child together. That's biologically impossible. There's only been one case of a human being created via parthenogenesis, and he was born over 2,000 years ago! If a homosexual couple legally adopts a child (which is possible in about 10 states--including Ohio), then they can claim the child as "theirs." Otherwise, it's just as pretend as the 3rd grade marriage ceremony.

From what I've read, it seems that the Defense of Marriage issue that is currently before the Supreme Court has nothing to do with the legalization of homosexual marriage, but is related to whether the federal government can specifically define what marriage is for the purpose of receiving federal benefits.

The crazy part about this is that the liberals are arguing that the federal government cannot define marriage as between a man and a woman for the purpose of who gets federal benefits, but the federal government could define marriage as including heterosexual and homosexual unions! It's all about the "inclusiveness" crap. Well, if we're so concerned about the federal government being "inclusive," how about including everyone in paying at least something in federal income tax!

Still have no problem with gay marriage.

Is it a sin in my religion? Yes. But I believe in the establishment clause. And judgement of others for their sins is only reserved for God not me.

Likewise the bible tells me to render unto Caesar to Ceasar and that which is God's to God meaning the government needs to get out of the marriage game and fully into the civil union game.

Likewise I hope DOMA is overturned and states decide this issue it's not a federal one.

Everyone is getting worked up for nothing. There is no God. Religion was just made up to control people. If you don't believe me just axe Professor William Maher, an expert on the subject.

One cannot be an expert on that which cannot be proven.

Religion teaches that God transcends this world. Hence God is inter-dimensional and not bound by the laws of math. So God's existence cannot be proven or dis-proven through science. In fact, the laws of probably and the Higgs-Boson actually lend credence that the universe was created through intelligent design and not from happenstance.

Example: We know the universe is expanding and has been from "Big Bang" or what I prefer the term zero event. The universes expansion has spend up not slowed down meaning that time and space are not cyclical and the universe has a definitive start and end date. If one accepts the laws of thermodynamics then at one point the universe will run out of natural resources since matter is not created or destroyed and not changed AND that once it is change it can never be fully changed back into it's original state. So the religions with an "end of times" theory are more likely to be correct.

Now with probabilities. The chances of our universe having the ability to create life would be the equivalent to filling the state of Ohio up with white ping pong balls 3 feet deep and one black one and on a random selection, grabbing the black.

The chances of our universe actually creating life, are the equivalent to the earth being covered in white ping pong balls yet selecting the black.

How does this support intelligent design? We have no evidence of multiple universes ever existing other than ours. Intelligent design is a cheat to the law of probabilities. Do I think we randomly grabbed the black ping pong ball or do I think something intelligent gamed the system so that the black ping pong ball was chosen? Since life exists and it appears was created on the first try the probability is highly more likely the system was gamed.

I also find it ironic that many are willing to accept that there might be aliens because of the probabilities yet ignore probabilities of Intelligent Design.

There is a theory that all of our existence is nothing more than algorithms managed by super computers.

Interesting theory. It still does not disprove the need for religion.

Religions are a necessity to the human experience at a societal level. Every society needs a "religion". Even Stalin, when he removed religion from the Soviet Union realized people needed something to worship. He replaced God with Lenin. When the iron curtain fell, those countries, with the majority of populations who had never experienced traditional religions embraced them a large levels.

Why is this relevant? Because science does not replace religion. It does not answer the fundamental question that people ask which is the question of "Why?".

That is why science cannot replace God, however you choose to define God.

Even if one accepts the multi-verse theory, it too does not nor can it replace "God".
