NPR is good but I bet JohnyD has increased ratings for WSPD! I think most people can listen to him. He has a great crossover ability which will attract more listeners in this area. Even Fred has now moved somewhat to the center since Wilson left. It was a good move to let Wilson go. The majority of potential listeners are drawn to a more neutral non political format.
I pulled it off the WSPD Facebook where it was posted by the very creatively named Ditts Dittohead. Classic trolling.

It was a good move to let Wilson go.

Does anyone think keeping that mushmouthed dumbass from DC in the 3-6 slot would have turned around WSPD's declining ratings?

There's a city full of walls you can post complaints at

Hey Fred I looked on your WSPD facebook but didn't see this Ditts anywhere. Are you making this up? Was he deleted?

1) If so what is with WSPD anyway? First you hang up on callers that don't meet your extreme criteria and now you delete positive posts about your afternoon competition, JohnyD. I thought you were trying to build up listeners and ratings? Sounds like your hateful negative reptilian persona is holding back WSPD. Were you never a team player? What does the new program director Scott Sands think of your animosity towards JohnyD? Maybe Kellie Holeman, Clear Channel regional market manager should be alerted. JohnyD is the best thing to happen to WSPD since Jerry Anderson. Now you and JohnyD kiss up and get on with the show!

2) If not then why are you lying again? Doesn't make any sense. Please explain?

I don't control the FB page for the station, but it's my understanding that administrators can remove, block, or ban anyone they wish just as a private person would be with their own FB page. There's nothing new about that though, again your ignorance of radio shows through. If the administrator didn't feel the post were appropriate or was unable to confirm the posters FB connection they would be well within their rights to delete, we've been told that. I hope this makes sense to you.

"First you hang up on callers that don't meet your extreme criteria and now you delete positive posts about your afternoon competition, JohnyD."

Please explain how JohnnyD is competition? First, they're on at different times. Second, their on the same channel.

It highlights your lack of knowledge of t.v. and radio media. Do you also consider Ed Schultz to be the competition of Rachel Maddow? If so, you should have your home checked for radiation, it's not giving you superpowers.

LOCAL content in the afternoon slot, but JD certainly ain't it. And Wilson was too, well...Wilson. I'm guessing they'll figure it out eventually.

The thing I don't care for about Johnny D is he seems to think that because he is the show host, HE is automatically right about everything. If he gets a caller with a contrary opinion, he tends to browbeat them or, hang up on them.

Johnny D's old show was just annoying. I haven't heard his new show but it has to be better because it can't be much worse.

I think Tim Morrison or Mark Beier would have been better as a host.

I am realistic though. The afternoon drive is supposed to support the morning drive. JD has already served that role for Fred back in the 92.5 days. So the chemistry is already there.

Wolfman is just stupid with his lame ass sock puppet tactics.

Good luck to Fred and Johnny D. I will tune in and give a listen. The new PD is at least trying some positive things.

I'd like to see a weekend local talk show. Something that focuses on the weekend events that WSPD highlights on their Friday shows. I always enjoyed when stations do remotes on the weekend.

Naw, I wish Scott Sloan would get the job!

He's doing mornings on 700WLW

Jonny D should be paying listeners. For the few weeks I listened, all that was discussed was Jonny D's personal issues.

He should be paying his listeners for their advice about his dog, where to take his wife on vacation, what to do about his daughter etc.

Meanwhile, the Sequester has taken effect, across the board cuts have somehow made the Stock Market rise into record territory instead of tanking like Libs said, N Korea is threatening to NUKE the U.S. but the "important" things to talk about seem to be Johnny D's credit card bills.

It was irritating listening to ...ahhh... Brian ahh...Wilson...ahh....and-ahhhh....his......ahh.....filler.....erahhhh...speech....
But he made points or statements that provoked thought.

Don't blame me,

The last 4 "stories" posted by Wolfie are ALL re-prints of other people's thoughts spoon fed to him by his owners. Wolfie is a sponge, sucking off of other people's work, lapping up other people's thoughts and regurgitating the Liberal talking points the way a dog eats it's own vomit.

Turn off your computer and turn off Comedy Central, wolfie. Try and think for yourself for a change.

Aw, c'mon, Libs----Mr. Toadley-oddolie-oddilie-o-o-o wasn't THAT bad. He is the only impressionist who can imitate two people at the same time! His act was a great duet---Foghorn Leghorn/George "Kingfish" Stevens. HOOOOLEY MACKERAL!

I'm embarrassed to say that I didn't keep up with JohnyD's show enough to find out--did he have the vasectomy or didn't he? One normally has to tune into the Kardashians to find "entertainment" of such stature.

Wolfman seems to be closer to this situation than most perhaps he knows.

Fortunately, I have a job and can't listen to radio in the afternoon.

Finally Fred's getting on that bus. I heard the JohnyD promo today. Very cosmopolitan! I think this is a win win strategy. I see Mr. Sands is mentoring Fred on the new realities at WSPD. Gone are the partisan hatefilled alienating rants. Good for him! WSPD is on its way back!

Once again your ignorance takes center stage. All radio stations promote between shows, it's called cross promotion. Johny talks about what's on my show, I talk about what's on Johny's show. If you recall I used to also do a segment with Brian each day at 5:30 to cross promote. There are days I wish you were smarter, but then I realize if you were we'd have had no one to build all those cars.
