The Blade's twisted priorities

There's something very telling about today's Blade, especially in the second section. There's a page 1, above the fold article about a dog recovering from a gunshot wound, complete with large photo. Meanwhile, on page 2 they stick an article about a local National Guardsman recovering from a suicide bombing in Afghanistan.

Sums up the Blades twisted priorities nicely, don't you think?

vessel around, with a deranged leftist America hating view by promoting Dims-whose unionized leeching has cost us all dearly, added to the whole mix a bent on character assassination as the mode of operation.
You eventually run out of businesses & citizens to persecute with yellow journalism.
And, you end up with thousands upon thousands of dog stories.

I like the one where the daily rag has gone to the dogs, literally and figuratively ...

Which one did WSPD cover first?

...and this has to do with the Blade's twisted priorities--how?

It is called a "Joe Bidenism"
Nonsense, no one on the Planet comprehends.
And, if they did, it is because they too , are demented dullards.

The Blade still exists--who knew?!

I know it exists becasue Fred reads it on the air every morning.

Well, if you listen to Fred every morning, shouldn't you have been able to answer your original question about which story WSPD covered first?

Dear lord--liberals are a lot of work!

Wolfman, purnhrt, and now Sensor have all admitted to listening to Fred. Either they are stupid or lying.

I would say lying. If there's one thing I've learned about libs is they are disingenuous.

I'm stupid because I listen to Fred for a few minutes in the morning? Wow, the mouth breathers that keep WSPD on all day long must be complete idiots...

That's right they are...

As Galt pointed out you should have been able to answer your own question.

You ask what Fred reported. You admittedly listen to him and use him as a primary source rather than the other primary local source, the bland. So either you can't remember what Fred reported or you are lying about listening to him.

For the record, I haven't listened to Fred's show in 4 years and I haven't read the bland in 2. I was sent a link to the bland once by my brother and I went there to comment. I saw a familiar SB poster there who is not from NW Ohio and when I pointed that out I was accused of following him there. Additionally I've been accused of following him to Toledo Talk as well and I've been a member/poster there for 3 years prior to that individual creating an account.

I didn't talk about either story because neither was in my daily talking points bulletin from Koch Bros. I did report on the library asking for a 2.9 mil levy in November while touting the fact that they now offer free scanning, and faxing for only 50 cents no matter how many pages you have. According to Judy Jones of the Mott Branch "Why so cheap? Because the library is not in the faxing business to make a profit, we are just trying to provide
another resource as cheaply as possible.Fifty cents is just trying to cover the
very basic of costs," said Jones.
Many you can't make this shit up.....http://toledoreads.com/pdf/2012/June2012.pdf

Any statement I make is the opinion of me exercising my first amendment right to freedom of speech. Freedom of speech in the United States is protected by the First Amendment to the United States Constitution and is generally permitted.

How can they be offering "free scanning, and faxing" when they are charging 50 cents?

Is it free or are they charging 50 cents?

Correcting you could be full time gig...the shit that comes out of your mouth on the radio isn't any better.

Perhaps you missed the comma. The scanning is free, the faxing is 50 cents no matter how many pages. You could have read the entire article which I included the link for though, but that might have required some work on your own. By the way thanks for listeninng.

"The scanning is free, the faxing is 50 cents no matter how many pages."

The cost of faxing is well under 50 cents unless someone is faxing an entire book, in which case it might cost around a dollar. Scanning is free because it doesn't cost anything per scan. Scanners run around $50-$100 but if the library already has MFDs there's no equipment purchase required.

Excellent point. So explain why it's so difficult for the people Judy Jones mentions to fax papers then, and why the library is making such a big deal about it.

The library clearly isn't making a big deal about faxing and scanning, which is why it was on page 16 of a monthly newsletter.

I'm just pointing out that the Blade has "twisted priories" for the order in which they print stories. I'm curious what the author of the original post thinks of WSPD's priories for not covering either issue.

Why should they report on either?

The point is if one chooses to report on two issues the order in which they report them suggests that institutions view of their importance.

Why does WSPD have to report these in your opinion?

I could argue they don't since WSPD obligates only a portion of it's day to local news and the rest to national programs thus time is it's constraint. The bland has no time constraints. In fact, the bland could choose to add additional pages if they saw fit (they've done this in the past). WSPD however cannot add time or shows. They can only bump shows. To do so comes at the cost of alienating a portion of their listeners who enjoy those shows.

HELL, that mind readers go through at seances when a lying Liberal ,is in their spooky darkened rooms !?

It must be one synapse & neuron mind exploding event for them !

With The Blade, animals (especially dogs) first!
Let me expand the priority issue to the Tiffin Courthouse. Was this a reportable local issue? Of course! Did it deserve the blanket coverage it received? Of course NOT! And it doesn't matter whether you think the courthouse should have been saved or not. The coverage was far over-the-top!

As far as WSPD is concerned, I understand that they have a much more limited scope to their local news reporting. Certainly, comparing the two as local news reporting agencies only, is comparing apples to oranges.

One is filled with real hope for a better tomorrow.
Along with ways of accomplishing that.

The other is filled with war-like madness, intolerance to anyone not Mohammedan, total brutality to women & children, and as their sign of Peace, Love, and Understanding, crossed swords !?

Or better yet, the blade is terminal cancer, WSPD= a cancer fighting drug !
