RICK SANTORUM'S DAUGHTER

The teeny tiny bit of info the mainstream boobs and boobettes are telling you about Santorum's 3-year-old daughter is that she was hospitalized with pneumonia. My my, how kind and compassionate of the likes of Judy Woodruff, Gwenn Ifill, and Diane Sawyer. (but then of course, they all call the murders that take place in abortion mills "choice".)

In fact, this child's medical situation is much more complicated. And Santorum and his wife are loving parents who live their convictions. But the MSM has an agenda - they couldn't POSSIBLY report anything that would cast the Santorums in a favorable light.

We have a geat and honorable candidate in Santorum (Ron Paul, too). But Romney is apparently (as a Dem liberal friend of mine said in 2008) buying the election, while a lot of self-described conservatives can't recognize greatness when they see it.

In what way do you see Rick Santorum as being a "great and honorable candidate"? He's a K Streeter who has vowed to battle the libertarian wing of the Republican Party.

There's a city full of walls you can post complaints at

I'm not a libertarian. Secondly, he and Rick Perry were the only ones in the debates who complimented Ron Paul directly. Which came across as very mature, as opposed to the 2 big babies, Newt & Mitt.

Thirdly, and most importantly, if you read my posted link, you would have read words spoken by Santorum that are great and honorable.

Your post has an underlying assumption that libertarians are somehow virtuous and should not be challenged because they are so virtuous. I disagree. You'll have to defend that assumption HB.

I have an 8-year-old close relative who suffers from a genetic disease which is more dire than even Santorum's daughter. She's on a respirator at home. We think she can hear, but not see. When Santorum says that it's "worth every tear", our family, at least, understands these loving and wise words.

As to libertarians, I've seen their weaknesses during this primary process as never before, while I still respect Ron Paul overall. He is coming across as a little immature to me.

And if the news media is to be believed, Romney will emerge the victor, and this year's national election will be between half-and-half Obama, and white Obama. I won't be casting a vote for prez in that, but will vote on other candidates & issues.

But this year, as never before, conservatives are ignoring to some extent, a truly great man. I liked Santorum when he was in congress. I admire him a hundred times more now.

I am resigned to the idiocy of a Romney v. Obama fake election. One Florida conservative said on tv that if Romney is the nominee, he (a Repub conservative) will vote for Obama. I won't - but I actually see his point. Might as well keep the Obama we have and let the country absorb what a disaster another 4 years of this know-nothing will visit on the country. Then in 2012 the electorate will be ready for a real conservative. I think the Florida fellow-geezer has a point.

Of course, I meant that in 2016 the electorate will be ready for a real conservative.
