Enjoy it, you've got about 18 months left. Then obummer can get back to ruining Illinois.

Obama's re-election is pretty much 50-50. However, the Republicans are very likely to re-take the Senate (as it is documented that they would have in the midterms if the entire Senate had been up for re-election), and it is almost certain they will retain their House majority. So even if Obama is re-elected, what we'll see for at least two years is his inability to lead or compromise. He won't have Congressional support anymore. And as Bldtld implies, he won't have his comfy Chicago corrupt environment to luxuriate in.

Like too many politicians, Obama has never held a real job and has no idea what the working class is really going through. Check out his resume that's still online from the 2008 election. He's either been in a political position, or been in a law firm, or in academia; at one memorable period, he was doing all three! None of that demonstrates the ability to understand the real world, much less understand and handle that the U.S. federal government is bankrupt... which is such a basic fact that the IMF has come out and said it in nearly the same terms.

We should elect a plummer who really isn't a plummer as President, or some air head from Alaska who admits on national TV that she would rather be in the wild collecting bear chips instead of working.

We should at the very least elect someone who can spell. The "b" is silent in LeFebvre just as it is in plumber, but It still shows up.

Any statement I make is the opinion of me exercising my first amendment right to freedom of speech. Freedom of speech in the United States is protected by the First Amendment to the United States Constitution and is generally permitted.

the absolute HATRED these left wing morons have for Joe the Plumber!!!

What did he do to earn their ire again?? Oh yeah - he asked a question!!!

I'mm goode at misbelling odder werds tool.

You are correct GZ. The GOP will retake the senate. The GOP will keep the house thanks to the redistricting gains because of the 2010 election.

But yes the President's reelection as it stands is about 50/50. Currently pollster.com has his averages at about 46 For 49 Against. He can still win reelection with that but it would be an electoral heavy strategy far from the 50 state strategy in '08. Enthusiasm is not on his side in the upcoming election.

I do find it interesting that even with his reelection his biggest (and only) achievement from the first term, Obamacare, the majority of it will be found unconstitutional and the rest will be defunded. Being that he'd have a GOP legislature he'd have very little hope of any major achievements in his second term. Like Bush from '06 on he'd be a "neutered" president with no ability to act and forced to deal on their terms.

I see that the sexist, racist, ageist, pure in heart couldn't help but return here from her new neighborhood. Slumming again pure? I thought facebook was your new place to play nice and that since nothing had changed here you would only drop in to check on us. Pitiful.

Because according to Generic presidential polls, any un-named Republican will boot this empty suit bastard child out of office.

"A generic Republican candidate now holds a four-point lead over President Obama in a hypothetical 2012 election matchup. It's the fifth week in a row that the GOP candidate has been ahead and the widest gap between the candidates to date."

It's just too funny that according to the most recient polls, "a plummer who really isn't a plummer" or "some air head from Alaska who admits on national TV that she would rather be in the wild collecting bear chips instead of working" would boot this worthless excuse of a President out of office.

Obama looks like he is by far the worst president in history and possibly the death of the Democrap party.

Don't blame me,
I didn't vote for a
socialist.

Personally, I'd like to see him get primary'd by a real Democrat. As it is, there's no one currently running in the GOP that has a chance.

Pink Slip

That is what a Generic Ballot poll is, Pink.

ANYONE with an 'R' next to their name can beat ODumbo.

When you're polling less than 50% as an incumbent your opponents always have a chance. Right now Obama's polling at about 45% with his disapproval at 49%.

Even with those numbers an incumbent can win. Those were about the same numbers Bush had when he won in 2004. When you're at those numbers how strong your opponent is surely comes into play. However, Bush had the benefit of the doubt from the voters because of the wars, Obama discarded that long ago and the Libyan mission is more of a hinder than a help.

I have long said if O's numbers become 44% approve 50% against that the GOP will win. I still believe that. Given the horrible numbers of the recession I don't think we will see a Reaganesque comeback over the last 18 months because the economy for Reagan went from 10% unemployment to 7% unemployment. I wouldn't bet it would come even close to that and anything less than a 2% drop in unemployment won't be enough for the President to shake his economic numbers.

Despite those who keep repeating that the GOP field is weak I believe the opposite is true. I believe this is the best group that we've seen for a nomination since the Dem field of 1992 (which was also seen as weak). Then a relatively unknown Gov. who no one thought had a chance pulled the nomination despite his liabilities. I remember a famous Saturday Night Live skit of the Dem debates in 1991 where they spoofed Al Gore, Dick Gephart, Tip O'Neil and others under the moniker "The Democratic Presidential debates: The race to be the guy to lose to Bush"

This current group does have liabilities but good competition always produces the best results and liabilities can be overcome.

I can't wait to yell "goodbye and good riddance" after the general election. And furthermore, I hope the Republican winner isn't some generic type like Romney, I hope the winner is someone the dimocratz completely and utterly HATE!

You seriously believe this country wants somebody that far right and that far stupid?? The 'generic type like Romney' is GOP's only shot.

You, like the other Dimocratz, are still under the delusion that America has not discovered Conservatism beats Liberalism.

Obama and the Dimocratz that controlled Congress up until January of this year proved that you can't trust Liberals to run anything let alone an entire country.

Because of Obama and the Liberals, America is missing the "good old days" when George Bush was president. America misses the lower unemployment numbers. America misses the lower gas prices. Businesses miss knowing that they were not going to be raped for trying to make money and hiring people to help them make money.

Don't blame me,
I didn't vote for a

Bachman? Palin? Romney? Cain? If Cain gets the ticket it will be the first time in history that a black man running for president didn't get all of the black votes.......LMBO........Get It?
