Republican Lies About American Made Products

Feds investigate 2010-11 Ford SUVs for shattered rear windows. This can't be possible as these are high quality union made products. The government needs to conduct Congressional investigations into these allegations. Here's a link for you to the whole made up story from the Detroit News http://detnews.com/article/20110501/AUTO01/105010327/Feds-investigate-20...

Do you ever think about anything but cars? You're a bore. I'd rather watch paint dry.

Thanks for the intelligent addition to the conversation about auto safety Lily. Your comments put a fine point on the problems facing drivers each time they get into their cars and take to the road.

Any statement I make is the opinion of me exercising my first amendment right to freedom of speech. Freedom of speech in the United States is protected by the First Amendment to the United States Constitution and is generally permitted.

The biggest safety problem facing drivers today is other drivers who are drunk.

Lillypad you ignorant slut...

(dont you bother to look up ANYTHING before you spout bullshit?)

Car crashes killed 33,808 in 2009,

Last year (2009) 10,839 people were killed in alcohol related crashes, the agency said, about a third of all traffic deaths.

YOU ARE TWICE AS LIKELY TO BE KILLED BY A SOBER DRIVER THAN A DRUNK DRIVER....

Math is hard.....reality isnt...

Kudo's to Zeit for the Dan Akroyd reference (which she wont 'get' either...)

You forgot to mention the subject of Aykroyd's barbs - my "character," Jane Curtin. I'm flattered that you think I'm so young.

I think he was referring to the intelligence not the age of Jane Curtin.

That's a given...as you make a habit of painting yourself into corners...

You know what, Furd, Here's what happened. Union workers decided "Hey, we need rear glass on these SUVs(so we can have more fun riding around drunk, when it rains)-so let's go design some. Then we send designs out to glass companies, and only buy the cheapest Chinese shit we can find. Then, before we get drunk on our lunch breaks, we'll design the robotics to install the glass, on the assembly line. Next, before we sober up-we build the machine to install the glass. It's easy-grab some Japanese electrical control panels, hydraulic cylinders made in Laos, pneumatic switches made somewhere on the Burma Trail, and various pumps, filters and solenoids made in places like Ciudad Trujillo, or Montevideo. We usually can throw all this together, in time for our afternoon "fix". No need to tell most of the plant engineers, either, as most don't speak or understand English. Lastly, we run out the door at 3:30, climb in our Lincolns and Cadillacs and head to the Bar, for some recreational drinking, and to laugh as a stream off little square cars pass by-each filled with six people and a dog.

What the HELL! Honda has had 1.7 million cars recalled since 2008 FOR THE SAME PROBLEM!!! Must be using cheap crap from China that continually explodes airbags without warning! Greedy Honda executives looking for profit over pubic safety.

While we're on that subject, i.e. Japanese road oilers, don't be surprised if Geiger Counters aren't added as standard equipment soon. Would anyone really trust their families health, to claims that the extra radiation that might be in the interior of the car, is still within safe levels, at least as far as the Japanese are concerned? I mean, we really got consistent, honest reports from them, about the radiation levels and damage, now didn't we? What I don't understand, is why the "ozone layer crowd" isn't on top of this, or why nobody mentions the global warming following the release of super hot radioactive steam? Where's ALGORE when we need him?
