TOLEDO, OH (April 20th 2011) -- Bang ‘Em or Hang ‘Em Boxing Gym, Ron Rightnowar Promotions & Team Bam Bam are proud to announce that Wayne Lawrence Jr. better known to the world as Pretty Boy Bam Bam has officially set his highly anticipated amateur boxing debut for Saturday, June 11th 2011 at Central Catholic High School located at 2550 Cherry Street in Toledo, OH 43608. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. EST and the fight will begin at 7:00 p.m. EST. There will also be a $1500 giveaway. Pretty Boy Bam Bam will be giving away $100 to 15 lucky fans who attend the fight

Pretty Boy Bam Bam is the Internet sensation that took the world by surprise back in 2008 when he posted his training video on youtube, which has gotten his over 2 million hits and over 5 million hits with all his videos online. Bam Bam has appeared on national televisions shows such as ESPN’s “The First Take” & “The Best Damn Sport Show”. In addition Pretty Boy Bam Bam has also been featured on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” which has boosted his popularity and put him on another platform.

Pretty Boy Bam Bam is 9 year old and currently enrolled in the 3rd grade at Toledo Christian School. When he is not in school, doing homework, watching TV or playing with his friends he is training at Bang Em or Hang Em Boxing Gym. On June 11th 2011 it will be one of the biggest days for Pretty Boy Bam Bam, he has been preparing for this moment for 7 1/2 years. Bam Bam says, “I can’t wait to show my skills and what I have learned over the years to the world. I have a lot of people waiting for me to show and prove ”.

Pretty Boy Bam Bam’s father Wayne “Toe Joe” Lawrence Sr. says “I’m really looking forward to seeing Bam Bam’s first amateur fight, it’s his debut. Everyone has been waiting for this day, it’s time for us to make our mark and we are coming for that belt”

Former MLB Player, Ron Rightnowar, now Athletic Director at Toledo Christian Schools says “I think Bam Bam is an young extraordinary boxer, the goals for this match are to get Bam Bam’s feet wet and get him use to being in a competitive environment. It’s important for Bam Bam to know that there will be a winner and a loser in every match and it’s okay if he doesn’t win every match” Ron Rightnowar also says “another objective for this fight is to create more awareness for youth boxing in the community; because it’s a positive sport.”
