NOTE: The "Our Education Crisis: A Student & Parent Conversation" event for this evening has been canceled.

How could WGTE cancel a crisis? Yikes! A crisit of education, no less. I do like, though, WGTE's correct spelling of "canceled." So often I see "cancelled" on the Tv news stations' scrolls for cancellations. Bugs the hell out of me. Maybe this could be a learning moment for all the children of TPS. Screw the British way of spelling (they don't even know where to place their commas), give me the American -English usage of the written word.

Patience is a great virtue.

I'm curious about your spelling of crisis as crisit. Would you say that is a regional spelling or more of a generational thing?

Back to the canceled/cancelled thing though, it would be nice if MS Word and other similar software would make their spellcheck pick one or the other. Though I can't see getting worked up with someone using the wrong variation as much as I do when people mix up "lose" and "loose".
