Stainbrook explains why only a few Republicans won locally in the biggest Republican sweep in a long time

But at least he made a ton of phone calls. He did not answer why the success did not trickle down locally, but it is probably because he has no answer to this.

Newsmakers 2010: Win some, lose some: Jon Stainbrook

Lucas County Republican Party Chairman Jon Stainbrook overcame controversy in 2010 and said he has since worked to move the local party forward But for roughly six months, the leadership of the Lucas County Republican Party (LCRP) was in question.

I have to congratulate Jon for having absolutely no impact on the local Republican Party. I mean the rookie was fired by Larry Kazala back in the 90's for trying to do to the Auditors Office what He is now doing to the LCRP. He is the ultimate in Milk Toast and the same goes for his followers. You will never see a candidates bumper sticker on their cars or yard signs on their lawns. They are only in for the free beer and what ever it is trinkets he is able to give out. Jon is in search of a permanent job along with Meghan and I think from what I have heard of Kelly she needs some home improvement so she can take a shower more than once a month. Great point Chris about the alleged volume of phone calls made. If Stain and Meghan were serious they wouldn't be kicking GOP supporters they didn' t like out of the HQ as the stories I heard have been told.

Mr. Apathy

Don't run people who like to dress up like Nazis on the weekend and apologize for them on national TV.

Sensorg. I'd rather vote for a fake Nazi than a real Socialist! Mousy Kapturd just wants to oil that gavel but never wants to hold it.

Shaaa-wing!

Mr. Apathy

I doubt if you will get a denial from sensor. I think he is farther to the left, a communist.

Not even close...please quote me if you can. I'm a capitalist through and through; I just believe in regulated capitalism. I make the companies I've worked for lots and lots of money.

I find this an oxymoron. Sound like something straight out of Chavez's rulebook.

If man has no tea in him, he is incapable of understanding truth. ~Japanese Proverb

You think a company can dump anything wants into the water or air? Do you think there shouldn't be a minimum for food standards? What about workplace safety? If homeless people are willing to remove asbestos without safety equipment for bottles of two buck chuck, is that fine by you?

What stops companies from dumping unlimited amounts of Hg into our drinking water or keep lead out of our food and make companies provide a minimum of protection for their workers is...say it with me...REGULATION.

I suppose it is OK when the government pollutes or wastes public funds. Probably it suits them and the people who believe in "regulated capitalism" to pick winners and losers like with Jeep and Sunlite, GM or Chrysler and hands the tax payers the bill. I for one don't like a nanny state telling me what color of roof I or windows I may have in the Old West End or Uptown Maumee, how much salt I may have on my french fries and the progressive goals for North West Ohio like at the dying daily local would like me to have.

And getting back to the Stain......... what the hell does he count as a success? I suppose the money he took from Allen Block last year would be one. Perhaps spending all the Karl Rove Fund Raiser cash would be another. Clearly making over 18,000 phone calls and having no definable victory puts him into a less then stellar record category. What would a respectable Republican candidate running in NW Ohio want to have to do with him. The ones who won stayed away. Let's see there has been Ludeman, Sears, Yarburough etc, etc.

Mr. Apathy

It was a crappy rely the first two times.

Funny how conservatives go on and on about the Billions to the auto companies, but seldom even give lip service about the trillions that went to the banks.

Banks can bit me too Sensorg

Mr. Apathy

If you recall I was very much against all the bailouts. In fact I said "when are we going to bailout the taxpayer?"

The financial crisis came to teach us a lesson. The bailouts of the car companies and the banks served to unteach us the lesson. I hate to be a doomsday sayer and I always remain optimistic of American Ingenuity but the crisis will come again, it's a double dip recession and the second dip will be longer and harder.

All to teach one lesson: Pay your bills.

Hmmm, sounds like state capitalism to me, aka, Chinese communism. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/State_capitalism

Not allowing companies to dump toxic waste into rivers is communism?

Sensor, it already is illegal for companies to dump toxic levels of waste into rivers.

That's called REGULATION! That's what regulated capitalism is!

I suspect that you idolize Cass R. Sunstein, the evil regulatory czar, who wants to regulate everything we do, no?

Wrong as always- I have no idea who that person is.

You are so full of shit! Hahaha

Besides, she's been moved far, far away from the gavel. That's a victory, that anyone should hail.
