Happy Kwanzaa

I was watching channel 13 WTVG's news last night and saw something that disturbed me. They wished people a Happy Kwanzaa! Why are TV stations not allowed to wish people a Merry Christmas but can say Happy Kwanzaa? Merry Christmas has been replaced with Happy Holidays. Christ has been removed from Christmas. Kwanzaa was first created and celebrated by a black nationalist nut in the 1960's by the name of Maulanga Karenga. In the founding of this so-called holiday Karenga stated that Jesus was a psychotic and Christmas was a white man's holiday. Kwanzaa is a creation by a man inspired by satan to deceive people into not celebrating Christ's birthday. Kwanzaa is PAGAN. Shame on you channel 13 for saying Happy Kwanzaa and encouraging people to celebrate a created holiday conceved in a sick mind such as Maulanga Karenga's.

No editorials, just facts about the Inventer of Kwanzaa, Dr. Maulana Karenga.

"In 1971, Karenga "was sentenced to one to ten years in prison on counts of felonious assault and false imprisonment".[8] One of the victims gave testimony of how Karenga and other men tortured her and another woman. The woman claimed to be stripped and beaten with an electrical cord. Karenga's former wife, Brenda Lorraine Karenga, testified he sat on one woman’s stomach while another man forced water into her mouth through a hose. Karenga claimed one of his accusers had attempted to assassinate him, but it was never proven.[8][9][10]"

"In 1975, with newly-adopted views on Marxism, Karenga was released from California State Prison, and re-established the Us organization under a new structure. "

You were probably disturbed because you are disturbed. Kwanzaa is a week long cultural celebrationand it is not a religious holiday, sort of like Cinco de Mayo. What would be disturbing, for someone to say "Happy Kwanzaa?"
I wasn't aware that television stations "aren't allowed to say, Merry Christmas." Where did you hear that?
Christmas is "a white man's holiday" although Jesus was a man of color. Christmas is not celebrated as Christ's birthday. It is celebrated as the end of the year shopping, spending, gift giving party. Kwanzaa has nothing to do with deceiving people into not celebrating Christ's birthday. I haven't heard too much about Christ's birthday since Thanksgiving. Have you? All I have heard is about people spending money. No one is being deceived by celebrating Kwanzaa into not celebrating Christ's birthday. Kwanzaa begins the day after Christmas and does not interfere in the Christmas celebration of gift giving and money spending. It would seem to me that anyone celebrating Christ's birthday on December 25th would be offended by the desecrating of Christ's birthday by all of the comercializing of Christ's birthday.
By the way what did you get for Christmas?

Christmas in the mindless materialistic way. Greed is the driving force behind what has been mistaken for celebrating the birth of Christ. By the way, it is the death and resurrection of Jesus which should be celebrated-IN CHURCH! Without the death and resurrection of Jesus we would all be doomed. Used to we heard Merry X-Mas instead of Happy Holidays. Christ was taken from Christmas then as he is now to be "politically correct". Christians are not allowed to offend non-Christians by saying Merry Christmas. But in the "politically correct" world of today it is fine and dandy to say "Happy Kwanzaa". Kwanzaa is a sorry excuse for a so-called holiday created by a morally warped person. Have you ever noticed that "Santa" is an anagram for satan? Purnhrt you say that I am disturbed. Don't judge me by yourself.

This is somewhat related.

I was at a small gathering by invitation only at local Catholic high school.
The invitation read "Please join us for a bit of Christmas Cheer....." Seeing someone I know and who knows me, and, who actually has a paid job at this school, said "Happy Holidays", brightly and mindlessly. We are at a Catholic event, we both know we are Catholics, plus this person is employed by the school and this person mindlessly gives the Politically Correct "Happy Holidays" greeting?! In light of the above, saying " Merry CHRISTmas" seemed a lot more astute and thoughtful, at least to me. It was like just a robotic greeting.

I think so many Christians have bought into the PC "Happy Holiday"s Greeting -- without even thinking they are talking to someone who is also a Christian! THAT is my point.

NOTE to dummy naysayers: I am NOT criticizing ANY other religion. Merely pointing out the sadness of political correctness and how widespread and nonthinking people are, people who worship as Christians and know the person they are greeting also worship as Christians. Sad.

Every group in the Country should have their own version of this-run back to back with Christmas. That way we can celebrate and have feasts all year long. Who wants to work 52 weeks a year?

Happy Festivus. I will refrain from the airing of grievances. Sarge and purnhrt don't have that ammount of time.

Next time I'm back in NW Ohio we can do the feats of strength.
