Issue #7 - No!

Issue #7
A Majority Affirmative Vote Is Necessary For Passage.
A renewal of a tax for the benefit of the Toledo Area Regional Transit Authority for all purposes of said Regional Transit Authority, other than bond debt charges, in accordance with the provisions of Section 306.49, Ohio Revised Code, at a rate not exceeding 1 mill for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to $0.10 for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for 10 years, commencing in 2011, first due in calendar year 2012.

If you want lower taxes, here's your chance. This is a renewal of an existing tax. Vote against this levy and maybe your taxes will go down by $100, if you own a $100,000 home. That's an entire c-note you can put in your pocket and do whatever you like with it. Of course, if you live in Sylvania in a home of average value, eliminating this tax will give you an extra $220 you can play with. If this is even starting to sound appealing, vote against this tax levy and give yourself a little more breathing room at the end of each month.

If you let this one pass, you'll be stuck with this tax bill for the next ten years. Sound appealing? No? Vote it down.

No on all levies. it is rediculous that property taxes fund all this shizz. It's unsustainable and you never own your property because you are always paying tax on it. What the hell. if someone can not pay their tax and their property is foreclosed on, how does that create a sustainable community? Plus, the news is the obama administration is looking at doing away with the mortgage interest deduction. How in the hell does that promote home ownership????

Wow Pam more bullshit. Is Obama going to take away the mortgage interest deduction before or after he bands all fishing and hunting and takes away all firearms and creates government death panels? Your a moron.

Before you run off at the mouth, douchebag, do your homework.

Why do you trust government so much? Why do you support the progressive socialist policies infliicted on this country by this group of thugs? They want to end the middle class as we know it. They want the rich to pay for everything and the rest of us poor and made to rely on government. That way they preserve their power. Idiots like you remind me of the scene in the movie, Independence Day, when the alien ship is over the building in Los Angeles. All the asshats up their welcoming the aliens and fawning all over the aliens are suddenly blown to bits when the ship blasts a beam down destroying the building and everything in site. That is what these progressives will do to you. They suck you in then destroy you. You're such a maggot infested fleabagger tool.

Senseless, head up your ass is not a good look.

Who pissed in your Wheaties, SensorG?

TARTA doesn't need this money to keep rolling, but this levy and others like it will tax the working class poor into starvation and out of property ownership. Of course, if you want to increase the gap between the rich and the poor, this is one way to do it - make it too expensive to own a house in Lucas county, and only the very rich will live here. That might make for a very small population, but so what?

The levy doesn't make any sense. With the economy the way it is, we need lower taxes - not higher. This is one way we can get lower taxes.

Mad Jack
Mad Jack's Shack

The very rich will simply continue to leave, along with anyone else who actually EARN their living, and Toledo/Lucas county will be a welfare state, just like the Dems want. All recipients and no providers makes for a very ugly reality.

The fruits of MY labor are not a social commodity.

You are the moron, his on people have talked about taking it away.

More uninformed liberals growing everyday, gotta love that public education you have going on.

Dear Mr. Governemnt:

Due to "unexpected" decreases in my net income (now and for the forseeable future), I must therefore cut my spending to achive a balanced household budget. Therefore, I cannot give you money for this program.

Best wishes!!

Mr. Taxpayer.

Sensor, don't you think all homeowners who are paying off their mortgage need the deduction? It helps everyone, even if they make only 50 grand a year. They need the deduction as much as a millionaire, if not more. It should stay in effect.

Why is it all these levies are paid for by the homeowners, yet voted on by everyone?
Kind of like me buying a new car and sending someone else the bill.
