Richie Rich Iott

I find it interesting that Richie Rich Iott was born in 1951 and retired in 2000. That would have made him 49 years old when he retired from Seaway Foodtown after selling them out. How many people can afford the luxury of retiring at 49 years of age? I guess when you are Richie Rich Iott it is possible. The man is now 59 and has been retired for 10 years. The hardworking men and women who comprise the 9th congressional district that he now wants to destroy, er pardon, represent, can not afford to retire and live a life of ease at the age of 49. Of course we have not all been blessed with having a business handed to us which was sold for a huge profit. 5,000 men and women lost their jobs when that chain subsequently closed down. Richie Rich Iott didn't care because he was taking it easy on the money he had made on the backs of his unfortunate victims. Job creator? Businessman? Bah! He is a greedy and unscrupulous "retired" millionaire. Let's do him and all of us a favor: Keep Richard Bradley Iott retired!

Who said he was retired. More like he moved on. That's what happens to most of us who work for a living and for ourselves when things change. I don't recall him saying he retired. More like the same old tired envy the democrat party uses on us productive non union self made people. Not all of us have to join a union or take government money. Why don't you go read the story of the PMA group here on Swampbubbles. They paid Marcy Kaptur off worse than a Tom Noe contribution.

Richie Rich claims he is retired Mr. Republicant. By the way it is Democratic and not democrat party. You are starting to sound like Joe McCarthy. Anyway here is the website where Richie Rich says he is retired since he took the money and ran:

I see where it says he retired from the grocery business, nowhere does it say he is retired from his other ventures. And you can't really have it both ways......either he retired from the business like it says when the merger went through, or he still had something to do with Foodtown closing years later. Which will it be?

Any statement I make is the opinion of me exercising my first amendment right to freedom of speech. Freedom of speech in the United States is protected by the First Amendment to the United States Constitution and is generally permitted.

Nowhere does the article mention Richie Rich having other ventures after he "retired" in 2000 after he sold Foodtown down the river. He is not a self made man or a job creator as he claims. He took the money from Spartan and "retired" for ten years and now he wants to use his illgotten gains to campaign for congress. Meanwhile 5,000 people are still without good paying jobs which Richie Rich's ADOPTED family created for him to destroy.

Yeah Man from Maumee

And Sarge knows something about being wrong.

Two words: OPAL COVEY!

So, what. He isn't taking government money funneled through a recently formed Not for Profit or from a company some House Committee is supposed to have oversite on.

It's no crime to say your retired in this county, but it is to funnel funds illegally to Congressmen and Senators. The fact that she beat the investigation only goes to show it's a instance of the fox guarding the hen house. It's obvious that the party forces would exonerate Kaptur by saying the Hens made her do it.

But still Paul Magliocchetti of PMA has to take the rap because he doesn't have the gravitas to get away with it in a real court of law, not an internal house committee.

If Kaptur had to face a real court of law like us underlings have to face things would be different. Face it, she is a protected ruling class crook.

Democrat/Democratic Party, it makes no difference. It is a common way to reference the party in the media.

Or former president George W. Bush's strong command of the English language. But you had better check the usage of Democrat Party.

...annnnd sarge has lost. You've been pwned, sarge. Now go ahead and Google "pwned," ya loser.

Oh, I forgot, if you own a company in America you're not allowed to sell it.

"Oh, I forgot, if you own a company in America you're not allowed to sell it."

Yeah, apparently if you own only 19% of a company you can sell the whole thing, amazing.

Then what, exactly, is Marcy? Besides a 25-year veteran of dining at the taxpayer trough???

Sarge I see no reason to be attacking Iott for Foodtown. There is sufficient documentation and investigations to show everything was done in the public light , not behind closed doors to offer any conspiracy theories. I believe that your attacks are from envy. You can't provide any truth so you slander. Your losing any credibility to provide legitimate arguments to be considered worthy of review. Maybe your real problem is low self esteem because you wasn't able to retire at 49. Maybe that's not your only inadequacy. If you want your post , read start providing factual statements that can be backed up with proof.

The only McCarthyism I see here is the desperate smears and attacks that are being made by the Kaptur supporters.

Kaptur is not the only one . Look around the liberals are running scared , it 's nation wide.
