Quick Impression-Wolfman Cutting and Pasting

General Motors is recalling a total of 243,403 vehicles across the US, Canada, Mexico China, Saudi Arabia and several other countries for a possible problem with the seat belt. The recall covers 2009-2010 models of the Chevrolet Traverse, Buick Enclave, GMC Acadia and Saturn Outlook.

GM says it wants to inspect second-row seat belts for damage that could make the seat belt seem properly fastened when it really is not. In some vehicles, the second-row seat side trim shield restricts the upward rotation of the belt buckle when the seat back is returned to a seating position after being folded flat, damaging the buckle and causing its cover to be pushed down the strap. As a result, the red release button could be partially depressed and the buckle unable to latch or, in rare instances, making a passenger think the buckle is latched when it isn't.

“Because of the potential for a false-latch condition, we want customers to return their vehicles to have the recall repair performed as soon as possible,” said Jeff Boyer, GM executive director of safety.

The problem came to light during warranty work. It has not been linked to any crashes. As a fix, GM will reshape the side trim to allow easier belt clearance and inspect the second-row belt buckles for damage. Damaged buckles will be replaced free of charge.

thread is just another distraction from "Conservative radio host's forclosed home set for sheriff's sale!" Can we please get back to that and the Barry Sotero family?

Yes yes purnhrt has it right! This entire threat is an attempt to distract from the embarrassing "Conservative radio host's forclosed home set for sheriff's sale!" http://swampbubbles.com/blogs/wolfman/20100814/conservative-radio-host-s.... The real story of a fleeing talk show host from paying his contractual mortgage obligation and the fact that the underpaid radio personalities are envious of union represented employees who make a living wage. Why do they all insist that we live in their HELL?

10 to 1 says GM switched their supplier of seat belts to some foreign company that pays their employees near slave wages, to SAVE money.
Of course the general public just sees it as, "over paid auto workers making junk". You can only do your best, to do your job with the parts and equipment given you.

Why would Government Motors, which used American Government (as in taxpayer money) purchase parts from a foreign supplier?

Why would the Union bosses that own the Democrap party allow their slaves to send American jobs overseas and ALSO pay those "near slave wages" to foreigners in foreign countries with AMERICAN TAXPAYER money?

Sounds to me like the Unions are screwing workers and America again, with guidence from the GM CEO Barry Obama the socialist.

Don't blame me,
I didn't vote for a
socialist.
