Who Is More Effective At Getting Conservatives Elected?

I've heard a lot of gibberish latelly about how great Ron Paul, et al, are, and how the Tea Party movement had damn well better start proving they can help defeat the socialists in November. Well, in several blowout wins last year, and most recently in Scott Browns' stunning victory, one wonders what planet someone spends most of his time on, to even consider Ron Paul effective, when compared to the Tea Party movement. It's sort of like someone bitching about El-rushbos' english, or Becks' understanding of the law, and remaining utterly clueless as to how either can have ratings a thousnadfold higher than some elitist yodlers in the Conservative branch of the media.

Because of interference by teabaggers, Republicans lost a seat in the House in November 2009. Even Scott Brown doesn't credit the teabaggers for his win in Massachusetts, instead preferring to credit "a plurality" for his victory. If he were running against someone other than the charismatic black hole known as Martha Coakley, he would have lost by 10% or more. What blowouts am I missing?

There is no comparison between Sarah Palin and Ron Paul. Neither may be effective at getting others elected, but at least Ron Paul isn't dead behind the eyes.

Ron paul is a stark raving moonbat....and his kid aint far off...

“Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.”

But at least he has completed a full term in office.

Other than demanding to know where the Birth Certificate is and the war in Iraq how is Paul different than the Tea Baggers?

Don't get me wrong, I find Paul crazy too, but he's consistent and articulate so he scores point with me there. On the other hand, the Tea Bagger and Paul share 90% of the same beliefs and by extension the Tea Baggers are crazy too.

tea bagger tea bagger tea bagger!

Well for starters...I dont recall anyone in the tea party calling for the "destrcution of the CIA"...especially just a few eeks after 6 agents were killed by a bomber...

What's exceedingly clear to most...when a right winger gets out of line ALL right wingers are out of line...and we get to hear it 24/7 for weeks....

When left wing registered democrat actually shoots up the pentagon...oh well he was just a lone nut and it gets swept under the rug by the press...

Obama supporter bites off a finger during argument?...

*crickeets*

Obama SEIU supporters actualy beat up a back guy on camera?

*crickets*

Oh the broken windows?....

yeah ...last time it was proven that a democrat worker broke the windows in denver to frame the GOP...

The left has a long history of making shit up in order to play the victim...

Our even outright attacking Conservatives than acting like it never happened...

who could forget the two obama assclowns that attacked a few old people with mace at a GOP office...

So the dems ramrod through a law that the MAJORITY dont want...then wonder why people are all bent out of shape?...like what did we do to deserve this?...we were just sitting here minding our own business...

DUH.

So the vote CBS News show 46% disprove, 42% approve, and 12% don’t know. With a 5% swing to approve after the House vote. Of course CBS doesn’t break down why people “disprove”.

From CNN (before the vote) – 59% disprove /oppose, 39% approve and 2% don’t know. Now what is interesting is that CNN breaks down the ‘opposed’ and it turns out 13% of people disprove because the bill isn’t liberal enough!

So don’t ASSume that the 46% (still a minority) in your CBS poll are opposing HCR for the same reasons you are.

Let me think. Should I believe the ClintonNewsNetwork owned by Ted Turner the rabid Liberal?

Or Rasmussen who "does not do polls-for-hire. " http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/about_us

"Thursday, March 25, 2010

Just before the House of Representatives passed sweeping health care legislation last Sunday, 41% of voters nationwide favored the legislation while 54% were opposed. Now that President Obama has signed the legislation into law, most voters want to see it repealed.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey, conducted on the first two nights after the president signed the bill, shows that 55% favor repealing the legislation. Forty-two percent (42%) oppose repeal. Those figures include 46% who Strongly Favor repeal and 35% who Strongly Oppose it.

In terms of Election 2010, 52% say they’d vote for a candidate who favors repeal over one who does not. Forty-one percent (41%) would cast their vote for someone who opposes repeal.

Not surprisingly, Republicans overwhelmingly favor repeal while most Democrats are opposed. Among those not affiliated with either major party, 59% favor repeal, and 35% are against it.

Most senior citizens (59%) also favor repeal. Earlier, voters over 65 had been more opposed to the health care plan than younger adults. Seniors use the health care system more than anyone else. "

Thanks for the mention of Rasmussen. I haven't been reading that site and I think I should start.

LibsCanBlowMe makes a good point about Ted Turner. When I lived in South Dakota Turner was actively pursuing his dream of buying up ranches and turning the land into undeveloped wilderness - buildings were completely eradicated, No Hunting signs were posted everywhere. Turner wouldn't hire anyone who owned a gun.

Now, if Ted Turner wants to do that, fine. Eventually the coyotes will discover that the Turner ranch is a real coyote haven, but that's another problem. What this project does is illustrates Turner's agenda - no guns - which is unconstitutional. Turner understands this and doesn't care. Anything that CNN broadcasts is going to be colored by Turner's agenda, that is, the government will decide how the mere civilians will live their lives.

CNN spiked stories of Torture out of Iraq for over a decade in exchange for access to Saddam...

“Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.”

Now they spike torture stories out the US...

....that Sensor posted, and read his comment? Or did you just discount it because it came from CNN? There is actual partial agreement in there...

Although from Gallup, from 3/23:
http://www.gallup.com/poll/126929/Slim-Margin-Americans-Support-Healthca...

And as the passing of the bill begins to recede into the distance, I imagine the polls will continue to shift somewhat.

Keep up rhe imagination game...

People are starting to find out what's in the bill...er...LAW.....shit like congressional staffers exempting themselves etc....

The more that people find out...the more they dont like...

Sure there are a few carrots...but it comes at the expense of IRS oversight...

And everyone knows how universally loved the IRS is...

BRILLIANT!

I suspect the only way for the dems to survive the mid terms is to grant voting rights to felons and ram through amnesty...

4 million felons and 12 million illegals might prove to be too big a prize for the democrats to ignore...

Two ready made constituancies...
