Call Marcy Kaptur!
Her vote might decide the fate of ObamaCare
President Obama, Nancy Pelosi, and Harry Reid are hell-bent to pass their health care takeover despite a tidal wave of opposition from the American people, and Marcy Kaptur may be the one who casts the deciding vote to determine whether or not you get fined for not having "government-approved" health insurance in the future.

Call, fax, or Email Congresswoman Kaptur at the information below and insist she OPPOSE this bill:

This is the time where we need to show what we're made of. With victory within their grasp, supporters of big government health care have made it well known that they're lighting up Marcy Kaptur's switchboards and flooding her congressional inbox.

This weekend may be our last chance to stand up against ObamaCare. Please, call Marcy Kaptur today and insist she OPPOSE any rule or other vote that does not provide for an up or down vote on such a critical issue. And urge her to oppose final passage of this latest would-be government scheme.

Thank you for your help and support. We need it now more than ever!

Schauer announces support for health care reform to hold health insurers accountable, cut costs for Michigan families and businesses

WASHINGTON, Mar 18 -
Today Congressman Mark Schauer (D-MI) issued the following statement to announce his support for health care reform legislation:

“Make no mistake, our health care system is broken. If we do nothing, health insurance companies will continue to raise premiums on Michigan families and businesses by double digits each year for the foreseeable future. This is simply unacceptable, and unsustainable.

“Passing health care reform will cut costs for Michigan families and businesses, close the prescription drug donut hole for seniors, cut the deficit by $130 billion, ban health insurance companies from denying coverage for pre-existing conditions or the loss of a job, and allow the American people to sign up for the same kind of quality, affordable, private health care plans that are available to members of Congress. I am confident that a modified version of the Senate bill which removes special deals for states like Louisiana and Nebraska will meet these objectives.”

“The health insurance industry has made it perfectly clear that their number one priority is to defend their multi-billion dollar profits at the expense of working Michigan families. In the past few weeks, four different special interest groups have spent nearly $300,000 on attack ads in my district to scare voters and kill health care reform. The bottom line is that I don’t work for the powerful health insurance industry – I work for the people of Michigan, and passing health care reform will ultimately help get our economy back on track.”

Health Care Now!
It's not about abortion, it's not about "death panels," it's not conservative or liberal, not Democrat or Republican, it's about doing what's right for the American people.

Marcy Karptur will lose big this November. Look at NW OHIO..what has she done except make this part of Ohio "desolation cities". Time for NEW ideas and input!!! Time for someone who is NOT out of touch with regular folk. Time for someone who doesn't hang out with the MichaelMoores and Bill Mahers of this country. Trust me...MANY NW Ohioians are saying this.. AND from all walks of life, incomes, and backgrounds.

Does health care need fixing? Yes.
Do we want congress "fixing" it with this gigantic monstrosity of a bill which would let government virtually take over health care? Hell no! Unless of course you're one of those people who wants cradle to grave support from the government. THEY don't mind, because
they forget, or don't care that the government can't give anyone anything until they first take it from someone else-taxpayers.

I keep hearing from the pro health care reform people, the biggest problems are lack of competition among health care providers and people being denied coverage due to a pre existing condition.
Then, fix THOSE things...it doesn't take a 2700 page bill to do that.

This is the last thing we need, this bill should be defeated! This bill supports abortions, death panels, and is 100% a liberal concoction. See how it works: Ted and Sally "get it on", Sally gets pregnant for the umpteenth time, and the G-Man gets to pay for yet another abortion, through taxation? I don't think so.

Marcy has just said on TV that she will vote for the health care bill. Does that suprize anyone?

I am going to support the other person and will give him 100.00 a month and do all I can to get ride of this stupid Cunt'a !

You know, I have some concerns about significant portions of this bill, but ARealAmerican's desciption of Marcy Kaptur as a "cunt" (or "Cunt'a" as he spelled it) says an awful lot about the degradation of civility in this debate.

A quick question, ARealAmerican: would you like any of the women in your life to be called this derogatory word (assuming, of course, that there are women in your life who are more than Web porn fantasies)? If not, then I suggest you elevate your discourse just a smidgeon. There are plenty of vicious names you could find for Marcy Kaptur without resorting to this level of mindless idiocy.

End rant.

Oh: I suppose this is an example of the elitism Not Again claims I exhibit. If it means I am an "elitist" or a "progressive" or even a "dirty Red" because I think all women should be treated with a measure of respect, then so be it.

She is just s stupid CUNT!

you see them? I don't think so. Makes you look like an idiot. I am glad you prove who you are. You know if you were actually smart and acted smart, your arguments would have much more meaning, which is why I and others have no respect for you. I wish you did not post here because you make this site look bad. Keep it up and I may have to do some cleaning again. You truly need to pray so God can help you with whatever problems you have.

Tea Party Protests: 'Ni**er,' 'Fa**ot' Shouted At Members Of Congress
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/03/20/tea-party-protests-nier-f_n_507...
Abusive, derogatory and even racist behavior directed at House Democrats by Tea Party protesters on Saturday left several lawmakers in shock.

Preceding the president's speech to a gathering of House Democrats, thousands of protesters descended around the Capitol to protest the passage of health care reform. The gathering quickly turned into abusive heckling, as members of Congress passing through Longworth House office building were subjected to epithets and even mild physical abuse.

I'm not saying it's alright, but African Americans call each other n&*%rr))r.
All the time.
In very derogatory terms.

Puppiboy...you should review some of SEIU marches and shouting...just sayin

As far as the gay slur, well I'm shocked, SHOCKED!!! People shouting naughty words at a protest...what's this world coming to. Not approving by a long shot but that's the way it goes sometimes. It was a very tiny fraction of all the protesters there.

Just cover your ears puppiboy.

In their minds, Democrats "know" that TEA Party activists are bigots and certainly they "heard" racial insults. Racism has become the final refuge of Democrats as they have been bought and sold by the Far Left. If they have no defense for what they are doing, anyone that opposes them must be racists. There can be no other answer. I think that these people have become so fully submerged in their ideology that they can not accept that opposition is honest in any way.

Yes I agree with historymike, the degradation of civility in this debate is problematic. I remember when just a short decade ago we would address our leaders with respect whether we agreed with them or not. I think to be taken seriously Marcy should be referred to as, The Honorable Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur.

Please, Respect is earned. I don't give it on credit. But it is clear she does has not earned any respect!

The Ho Bag Cuntwoman Marcy Kaptur ! lol

Well HistoryMike, the Tea Partiers are showing their true colors.

Yesterday we had them spitting on congress men and yelling f*g*t and n*g*r as well. Very classy.

OVERHEARD: Walking into Capitol this morning on phone, Speaker Pelosi tells Hoyer: ‘Steny, we have to get to 217. None of these members wants to be the deciding vote’… Developing…

WHY? Because all Dems who vote yes know they will have to face their consitituents whom, by a HUGE majority, are very strongly against it. RAMMING IT DOWN OUR THROATS FOR SURE. Anyone who thinks this is about healh care reform, you are very sadly mistaken and misinformed.

Pelosi is desperately trying to find congress people who were planning on already retiring to vote ‘yes’….that pretty much says it all. No Dem wants any part of this trainwreck of Govt Run 'Health Care' Can't wait to see the what bribes were ised if it passes.

Tom says, "WHY? Because all Dems who vote yes know they will have to face their constituents whom, by a HUGE majority, are very strongly against it."

No TB the Dems are afraid of unlimited extreme conservative funding being dumped on their districts to sway the uniformed voters by the way of slick TV and radio ads.

puppyboy-
#1 on the Rahm video...no thanks, you can watch him...I'd have to take another shower if I did.

#2 Re: the Dems being scared of uninformed voters "being swayed" as you said.HAHA..yea..I'm sure the Dems would really worry about voters being "swayed". BUT they would be very afraid of the voters being INFORMED!! Nothing worse than that for Progressives/Liberals. And happily, the voters are becoming informed: just look at Obama's poll numbers over the last year.

Look how hard this supposedly wonderful Govt Run HealthCare bill is having such a hard time passing in a majority Democrat Congress.
Cant wait to see the new single digit poll approval rating of the Congress after this Govt Run HC trainwreck passes.

If you thought Marcy WASN'T going to vote for the government takeover of healthcare then you are very misguided.

And for those of you who will ask, it's night in Afghanistan and the weather is pleasant, but I thought it would be sand here and I wouldn't characterize it as such. It's nothing but dust.

Mr. President!

Hmmm hmmm hmmm....

“Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.”

I got news for people, you haven't gotten anything yet, and you won't end up getting any more health care than you have now. So sing, dance, and go ummm-ummmm-ummmm all day long-tomorrow morning you won't have a single dime more in your pocket than you do today. The important thing is you feel good, not the dime.
