Any health care bill from Obama is a civil rights bill, that's all it is. It has nothing to do with health care but all to do with the over 100 new government agencies that will be created. Over 100 new agencies filled with union jobs that equate to imcompetence. Also in the bills are quota systems for all medical schools.
Obama's policies reflect who he is; they are the vehicles that masquerade as hope and change, which are the mechanisms for social justice and economic justice -- "meaningful legislation" through wealth redistribution. And now, through health care "reform," Obama will attempt to finish the job of applying positive liberties (what the government can do for you), ultimately attempting to forsake the Constitution, which is a charter of negative liberties (what the government cannot do to you), to apply the final judgment of the Civil Rights movement.
SusanAnne Hiller writing at American Thinker brings out a key aspect of the health care fight to which almost no attention has been given, and in doing so she provides perhaps the best answer to the question that has so many of us agog: why are Obama and the Democrats so passionately devoted to the bill to nationalize health care, notwithstanding their inability to pass it, the country's opposition to it, and the grave political harm it is causing to the Democrats themselves? The answer is that they see it as a "civil rights" measure for nonwhites, and the reason they see it that way is that more than half the people without medical insurance, the main intended beneficiaries of the bill, are minorities. To the left-liberal mind, such a huge racial disproportionality in health insurance is intolerable. The health care bill is about attaining substantive racial equality in a key area of life. That is why the Democrats don't care how ruinous the bill will be to the economy, how explosive to the national debt, how inflationary its costs, how Kafkaesque its bureaucratic complexities, how crushing to American freedom. What they care about is fulfilling Martin Luther King's racial-socialist vision of racial equality of outcome.

I oppose government-run health care period. Government-run health care or the government involved in any way with health care is unacceptable. That is not what this country needs. What this country needs is reform of the present health care system. The government should never run a health care program. Stay out of the health care system. I and millions of other Americans do not want a health care system with the government involved in any way, shape or form. Start listening to what we are saying. You are not representing us. I for one will vote you out in 2010. People in this country are fed up with Washington not listening. You are elected to represent the people and you are accountable to us. Do what you were sent to Washington to do. Otherwise prepare to pack your bags and go back home where you belong.
