President Barack Obama and Governor Strickland asked that all public building's flags be flown at half mast in remembrance of the Fort Hood Massacre. I am assuming that Toledo public school buildings are public buildings, yet all of the buildings that I have been seeing, since the edict went out, are all flying their flags as usual.
Glenwood, Libbey, Rosa Parks, Bowsher all have flags being flown as usual. The two people on the board who are veterans, Board President Bob Vasquez and vice president Lisa Sobecki tout their serving their country when it serves them. However flying the districts flags at half mast has escaped their personal needs.
