TOLEDO, Ohio, November 6, 2009 – Scion, the youth brand of Toyota, is bringing its 2009 College Ride & Drive Tour to the University of Toledo on Tuesday, November 10.

The Scion Ride & Drive Tour is a unique grassroots marketing program that targets, engages and educates the 18-22 year-old Scion demographic in college markets. The tour features Scion’s exciting array of vehicles – the tC sports coupe, xD urban compact five-door, and iconic xB urban utility vehicle. Each car is available for test drives in and around campus. There will also be two customized Scion vehicles, outfitted with gaming stations, for visitors interested in some stationary entertainment.

The Scion College Ride & Drive Tour will take place at Jed’s On Campus, 3534 Door Street, Toledo. The program runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on November 10. Local dealers Jim White Scion and Rouen Scion will be supporting this unique event.

People who participate in the test drive portion of the program will receive gift cards to Jed’s On Campus and some Scion premium items. They’ll also have an opportunity to enter a drawing for one Flip camcorder.

“We are proud to be bringing our college ride and drive tour to the home of the Rockets,” said Julie Hoermle, regional manager for Scion. “Scion has the youngest customer base in the automotive industry, so college students are very important to our brand. We’re confident that anyone who attends this event will have a great time driving our vehicles and learning more about Scion’s fantastic product lineup.”

Still a rice burner...

Keep buying foreign...your job will be next....

now too. Why are you only singling out a Japanese maker when the ravioli burners Fiat produces are as foreign as Scion?

Last I checked there isnt a scion plant on toledo...

But hey...why be logical and and at least support a local car plant and it's local spin off businesses.....
