40 days for life effort - Toledo and 211 other cities - now day 29

http://www.40daysforlife.com/splash.cfm
212 communities -- are
praying and fasting for an end to abortion.

Is the tide finally turning? I pray that it is!

More and more abortion centers seem to be
experiencing a decrease in customers. And I have to
think the reason is all that intense prayer!

Ann in Toledo, Ohio was surprised when the Center for
Choice, the location of Toledo's 40 Days for Life
vigil, was closed on Friday, one of the two days each
week when abortions are usually scheduled.

"It is extremely rare that the center is closed on a
Friday unless it's a holiday," she said. "Praise
God!"

Shouldn't Freedom of Religion mean that I have a right not to have your religious beliefs shoved down my throat or into my uterus?

Most people only know the 1st sentence of the First Amendment.

http://www.usconstitution.net/const.html#Article1

The first sentence: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion..."

But for some reason, they conveniently ignore the 2nd sentence and the rest of the Amendment:"...or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;  or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

In short, Congress will not make a law forcing one religion to be the "official" religion of America AND Congress will not make a law prohibiting the free exercise of religion, which would also be protected under 'Free Speech'.

You DO have the freedom not to have religious beliefs "shoved down your throat". You have the right to walk away. Or, using the same freedom of speech that a religious whacko has, you can argue back.  But you CANNOT make a law forcing them to shut up the same way they cannot make a law forcing you to listen.

And YES you can have a law prohibiting you from controlling your own body. A smoker has lost most of their rights to do to their body what the want, and you stood idly by, probably cheering, when smokers lost their rights. You stood idly by, probably cheering, when business owners in Ohio lost their right to private property. You stood idly by, probably cheering, when seat-belt laws were passed to protect us stupid people from ourselves.

Don't blame me,
I didn't vote for a
socialist.

whales, dolphins , and why not the tiniest humans who feel pain , have real features as new 4 d technology reveals. If the tiniest and most innocent of life is not protected , none of us are safe .

Newspeak...death=choice

“Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.”
