The Toledo Police Patrolmen’s Association and the Toledo Police Command Officers’
Association have endorsed Mike Bell for Mayor of Toledo today in the wake of a violent and
brazen bar shoot out in West Toledo.
After screening both mayoral candidates, TPPA and TPCOA endorsed Bell for his practical and unflinching approach to addressing safety as laid out in his platform, Pride and Performance:Strong Leadership for a High Functioning City – a plan that will address jobs and safety for all of Toledo.
TPPA President, Dan Wagner and TPCOA President Terry Stewart joined Mr. Bell at a press
conference Monday to announce their support of his candidacy and to reinforce the need to
prioritize the safety needs of the City of Toledo.
Toledo’s former fire chief and former State Fire Marshal, Mr. Bell is running for Mayor as an
Independent. He successfully brought together Northwest Ohio communities following the
tragic events of September 11, 2001, when he was tapped to lead the homeland security efforts of the region.

If the UAW also endorses Bell, then the election is already over. Toledoans are still too dismally Democratic to cross these endorsements. Toledo is also 25% Black, and they will uniformly vote along a racial line.
Prediction: Bell wins, by at least a 10% margin.
Wilkie has a decent bankroll...that overcomes a lot of endorsements & demographics.
