Say It Ain't So...Another Phoney 'Family Values' Politician Revealed

Too funny:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b2GKqTeBlAg
Well, there goes the 'perfect score' with the conservative family values folks. The reporter chasing him around adds to the yucks.

No votes yet

And he resigned...

Too bad he wasnt a democrat...he could have stayed in office...and you'd be clucking about how "everybody does it" and it's "just about sex"..and "it's between him and his wife"...

Just in case your a liberal and suffer from selective amnesia syndrome:

Here's how the left feels about infidelity...on the left:

http://news.bostonherald.com/news/opinion/columnists/view/2008_08_17_A_l...

"But barring some police action that made such indiscretions public, the press then did not report on adulterous politicians, even presidents. What they knew, they ignored. The personal was not political, and was deemed unfit to print. We were all better off. "

Yes we are better off not knowing of democrat infidelity...but we need to expose it on the right and cluck about how hipocritical it is...

“Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.”

I received an email about this story which had a link that sent me to a Michelle Malkin website. She called for his resignation. Unlike the left wing blogs who defended Van Jones as a victim.

MikeyA

At least he didn't outsource the sex to Buenos Aires like Republican South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford did! He can then claim he's creating jobs in America. Service jobs!

Statements made are the opinion of the writer who is exercising his first amendment right to freedom of speech. Freedom of speech in the United States is protected by the First Amendment to the United States Constitution and are generally permitted.

One better...at least he didnt continue to run for Vice president while even his own staff knew he was having an affair and the main stream press wouldnt bother to report it... like Democrat Vice presidential canidate John ( I hear dead babies) Edwards

“Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.”

Wait isn't that the same Gov. Sanford who the SC congressional Repubs and the Repub Lt. Gov. both called for the resignation of????

He must have been "a victim of a smear campaign" just like Van Jones was.

MikeyA

I can care less if this guy wants to cheat on his wife, that just makes him a dirt bag. What I do care about is this is one of the guys who led the charge again Prop 8, saying gay marriage would destroy families. That's what makes this news worthy besides the obvous fact that he was banging a lobbiest who had business in front of him at a state Senator.

The fact that he'd talked about it out loud and brag about it make him even bigger dirt bag.

cheated on his wife while espousing family values? I missed that. ;D
Or did he condemn gays, while soliciting men in a stall in an airport restroom. I missed that also.
So what did Van Jones have to do with this thread? Stay on topic folks.;)
If you were on GCJ you would be put in moderation, whatever that is. lol

No purnhrt. Van Jones was defended by the left wing blogs and they and he both agreed he was the victim of a "smear campaign".

The rep from CA is not being defended by the right wing blogs. In fact as I pointed out they called for his resignation. Sanford is not being defended by the right wing of the party. Again they called for his resignation.

There is a difference how each side of the aisle is handling scandals yet there are some who are decrying the Repubs as being hypocrites.

Please try to follow along it will take me forever if I have to keep explaining it to you.

MikeyA

Van Jones WAS the victim of a smear campaign, and he should be defended. He didn't do anything wrong, and the two situations aren't similar at all.

Pink Slip

A smear campaign that involved his own quotes and video of his speeches taken in context?

That doesn't sound like a smear campaign to me. It sounds like his "chickens coming home to roost" if I may quote Rev. Wright.

MikeyA

There were calls for his resignation. For what? For his "own quotes" and "speeches"? It's real easy to take someone's remarks and demonize them. And they were saying that he was arrested in the Rodney King riots, and that was false. He wasn't even there during the riots.

Pink Slip

It's easy to demonize when the quote has to do with calling Republicans "ash-hoiles" and when he signed a 9/11 truth petition.

He is no more a victim of a smear campaign than DBA when we all say Chris should keep him off the site.

MikeyA

How about the Rodney King riots claim? How about when they claimed he had ties to a terrorist?

Heck, even Little Green Footballs was defending him against the smears.

Pink Slip

You would have a point IF that was why he was removed. It wasn't.

Now you know me Pink I try to be fair. He lost his job because of comments he made and things he signed. Not because of all the other noise.

Had that been the only thing he'd still be in his office and your claims would be valid but he made outlandish claims about white people and the Bush administration. I don't want people like that advising any president. If a Republican president does the same with a "Birther" I will equally call for their resignation.

MikeyA

Besides purnhrt isn't this the reason you were removed from GCJ?

"You had previously stated you were not posting on GCJ anymore, which was your choice. Your comments that were deleted, were deleted because you didn't go there to contribute, you went there to create problems with one particular person who commented there. In other words? I didn't let you use my site for your grudge match and the only person that was being rude, was you, which continued in the email exchange where I wasn't the one who was rude. It wasn't some "nebulous" post, you knew exactly what you were doing and why." .... LisaRenee

Because it's only been a year since Jesse Jackson showed everyone why it's a bad idea to assume a mic is off.

There's a city full of walls you can post complaints at

Few Democrats take the strong public stands condemning unfailthful spouses, gay relationships, children born out of wedlock, etc. These are the "wedge" issues by which Republicans divert attention from important everyday issues. Of course, the Republicans don't so anything substansive about these wedge issues, because they do not want these issues to go away.

Let's not talk about how the economy is already bouncing back, long before most experts thought was possible. How much higher is the DJIA now than it was in January?

Let's not talk about the 40-50 million Americans who have no health care, while every other industrialized nation in the world somehow covers virtually all of their citizens.

Let's not talk about shifting our military attention to Afghanistan where those who really helped the terrorists attack us are, from Iraq, which also didn't have any WMDs.

Instead, let's talk about gay marriage, children born outside of marriage, and unfaithful spouses...so-called "family values". And, by the way, as Republicans, if we violate any of our self-serving rules, we'll claim that those who attack our hypocrisy are unfairly targeting us for political purposes!

I don't really care if what a public official does in private, as long as it's not illegal! It's their business. It's the Republicans, almost every one of them, who make the big deal, at least until one of THEM is guilty of an offense! That's hypocrisy!!

"Few Democrats take the strong public stands condemning unfailthful spouses, gay relationships, children born out of wedlock, etc. "

Right..becuase they are too busy defending unfaithful spouses, promoting gay relationships to our children, and promoting abortion.

"These are the "wedge" issues by which Republicans divert attention from important everyday issues. Of course, the Republicans don't so anything substansive about these wedge issues, because they do not want these issues to go away."

I'd love for these issues to "go away"...unfortunately...democrats keep shoving these issues in my face at every opportunity.

"Let's not talk about how the economy is already bouncing back, long before most experts thought was possible. How much higher is the DJIA now than it was in January?"

Unemployment is at a 26 year high...teen unemployment is higher than EVER measured...
Intrest rates WILL have to be raised to counter inflation that comes from printing more money.and only a half million people lost jobs this week...isnt that great?

"Let's not talk about the 40-50 million Americans who have no health care, while every other industrialized nation in the world somehow covers virtually all of their citizens."

According to Obama..it's now only 30 million...and a big chunk of that are ILLEGALS.

"Let's not talk about shifting our military attention to Afghanistan where those who really helped the terrorists attack us are, from Iraq, which also didn't have any WMDs.'

Are there WMD's in afganistan?...nope...

Are democrats allready talking of cut and run ?...YES

"Instead, let's talk about gay marriage, children born outside of marriage, and unfaithful spouses...so-called "family values". And, by the way, as Republicans, if we violate any of our self-serving rules, we'll claim that those who attack our hypocrisy are unfairly targeting us for political purposes!"

You mean like having former Klan grand dragon Robert byrd as a sitting US senator than talking about race with a straight face?

"I don't really care if what a public official does in private, as long as it's not illegal! It's their business. It's the Republicans, almost every one of them, who make the big deal, at least until one of THEM is guilty of an offense! That's hypocrisy!!

No..Hypocracy would be if he HADNT resigned....or he continueed to run for office like edwards...

Hypocrisy would be claiming to champion woman rights...then ignoring treatment of women in Islam.

Hypocrisy would be claiming to stand up for the "working man'...then bailing out wallstreet fat cats and political contributers and handing the "working man" the bill...

Hypocrisy would be claiming to stand up for Union jobs....then doing your best to destroy the domestic oil industry.

Hypocrisy would be calling baby killing a "choice"..

Hypocrisy would be claiming to look out for working families than passing a carbon tax that will increase utility costs 3000 bucks a year...

Hypocrisy is yelling at Auto execs for daring to use private jets....then authorising the purchase of private jets for congress to use...

Hypocrisy is charie rangle writing penalties into law for tax evasion.

Hypocrisy is nancy pelosi employing illegals in her california vinyards.

Hypcrisy is calling Ted "the swimmer" Kennedy a "statesman" instead of a drunken killer...

Hypocrisy would be claiming this to be a "post racial presidency"...then playing the race card on anyone who dares disagree with Dear leader...

“Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.”

Here we go...sooner or later we know that "Z" eventually snaps and lets loose a contradiction-laden rant. You're all over the place man. Focus!

Pink Slip

As usual...dont address any points...dont refute anything...just make a smarmy comment.

The definition of hypocrisy:..

Liberal.

“Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.”

Ok, here ya go

"Right..becuase they are too busy defending unfaithful spouses, promoting gay relationships to our children, and promoting abortion"

Defending unfaithful spouses is not a Democratic or liberal position, and it's certainly not unique to the left. And no one promotes gay relationships to children or promotes abortion. This is a flat out lie. You are a liar.

I'd love for these issues to "go away"...unfortunately...democrats keep shoving these issues in my face at every opportunity.

Democrats do not shove these issues in your face. You are a liar.

Unemployment is at a 26 year high

Yes. The was a little thing called a recession that began during the last administration. Everyone has said it would take some time to fix. Unemployment in particular is what they call a lagging economic indicator. They economy could begin to turn around, and yet unemployment could still go up for a little while. It sounds like a contradiction, but it's actually basic economics. Look it up.

"Intrest rates WILL have to be raised to counter inflation"

Hey, I agree! A little inflation would probably be good right now.

and a big chunk of that are ILLEGALS

No it does not include "illegals". That is a lie. You are a liar.

Are there WMD's in afganistan?...nope

No one ever said there were WMD in Afghanistan.

Are democrats allready talking of cut and run ?...YES

Ask the Soviets how Afghanistan worked out for them. How about the British? Conservatives also want out. Ask George Will (or is he "liberal" now?)

"You mean like having former Klan grand dragon Robert byrd as a sitting US senator than talking about race with a straight face?"

Who would listen to Robert Byrd on race relations? He hardly seems like a credible source.

"Hypocrisy would be claiming to champion woman rights...then ignoring treatment of women in Islam"

"in Islam"? Where's that? Can you be more specific? Are we ignoring Islamic women in America? In the Middle East?

"Hypocrisy would be claiming to stand up for the "working man'...then bailing out wallstreet fat cats and political contributers and handing the "working man" the bill"

Once again, I agree! I guess you agree with Marcy Kaptur on that issue as well...

"Hypocrisy would be claiming to stand up for Union jobs....then doing your best to destroy the domestic oil industry."

Who's destroying the domestic oil industry? What's preventing oil companies from opening new refineries right now?

"Hypocrisy would be calling baby killing a "choice"..

Baby-killing? Sorry, but no one is "killing babies". You are a liar.

"Hypocrisy would be claiming to look out for working families than passing a carbon tax that will increase utility costs 3000 bucks a year

This is a bold-faced lie. It's been refuted over and over again. You are a liar.

"Hypcrisy is calling Ted "the swimmer" Kennedy a "statesman" instead of a drunken killer"

He was never charged with killing anyone. You are a liar.

Pink Slip

you are one heck of a 'splainer. I was not removed from GCJ. The post that you referenced, written by Lisa Renee stated that I removed myself. Can't you read? Or are you just stuck on the way you want things to be.
The reason I choose not to post on GCJ is because on the night of November 4 and the early morning hours of November 5, 2009, I attempted to post on GCJ. After trying for a couple of hours I emailed Ms. Ward and was told by her that she was deleting my posts. The reason being because I was not contributing to the blog but was posting to goad one of her prize posters. A poster who had been allowed to post some pretty obnoxious posts about me. She had no problem with those posts. I had no problem with her deleting my posts that election night except that she did it surrepticiously.
As far as I am concerned she eliminated my posts because she was pi**ed because Barack Obama became our new president and she is still pi**ed..
An added note, GCJ's rules also changed that night, proving further that GCJ was being unfair to delete my posts. But hey, he who pays the piper calls the tune. I don't intend to pay the piper. :)
It would behoove GCJ to admit that there is an elephant in the room.

What is a "splainer" anyway? A Mickey Splain fan?

Secondly, you cannot "join" GCJ. You can only post. And if your comments are removed then you are removed.

Plus please reread Lisa's EXPLAINATION most particularly the part where it says "...Your comments that were deleted, were deleted because you didn't go there to contribute, ..." this backs up my post.

"A poster who had been allowed to post some pretty obnoxious posts about me." why would they do such a thing? Were they a "'splainer" too?

MikeyA

I would love to go into this with you but you are awfully hard headed. L. Renee states in her e-mail to me which you POSTED "You had previously stated you were not posting on GCJ anymore, which was your choice." So, case closed, you just lied.

First off, if anyone is a liar here it is you. That quote came from a SWAMPBUBBLES POST by LR. I do not have access to you or her email accounts.

Secondly, the quote clearly states that your contributions were removed. Since posting is the only way to contribute I stand by my contention that you were removed. Did I say it was permanent? No. Did I say you can't now? No.

The only thing you could do on the site was removed. I equate that to you being removed. I think most would agree with me.

Please don't lie to me again.

MikeyA
