Max Baucus is a corporate lackey. Luckily this bill would not pass the House, since there's no public option in it

Dream on ...

“Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.”

The Progressive Caucus in the House will not vote for any bill without a public option. The unions will not support a bill without a public option. Senators like Conrad and Baucus are treading on thin ice

You Vastly overestimate the power of the dark side....it will be your undoing....

Heh heh...the dark side usually wins, that's true. But I can hope (and hold them accountable)

You should read things a bit more carefully....it will be your undoing...

Right because if you can't afford private insurance you'd actually have 4k to pay on a fine.

For the single person, the fine is about $750. Hey, no worries, right? That's like one or two rent payments. Surely you can pull another one or two rent payments out of your a55 each year for government spending. LOL!

Normally people who don't have insurance can't afford it. So now we're going to charge people who can't afford it. Sounds like another lower class tax to me.

(sarcasm alert) I know. Let's tack another raise on minimume wage to it!!!!! Maybe that will finally get us 20% unemployment.

I'm glad Pink can at least admit who's really behind the push behind the government takeover of healthcare.

Unions know that it's hard for them to compete against other countries (every other industrialized nation) who'd businesses aren't having to pay for health car for their employees....DUH!

So they want to pin the cost on the taxpayer...DUH.

They are also salivating for card check and the public option to unionise the entire health care system...

It's all about more dues to support union insiders as officers on fat saleries....they dont care how many people are laid off.....just dont forget to keep your dues up...or your out!

Actually MikeA, most Americans support a public option. :)

Bull.

Many business people, and many health care professionals favor the public option. Manufacturers realize that lower health care costs will make them more competitive in the global economy. Health care professionals are frustrated by giant corporate insurance bureaucrats who overrule their best medical decisions. They favor anything that weakens the control these insurance companies have over the medical profession.

The only business people who, as a group, are opposed to the public option, are the giant blood-sucking insurance companies. I wonder why?

LMAO....if your employer favors the public option...it's because you will soon be on it instead of your empoyer having to pay for it...

Unions are for it because they want the tax payer to pick up all the costs for union retirees...AND they are looking to unionise areas they have had little success in...health care...

You think you have issues with heath care now?

Wait till you get union thugs taking care of you and a govt clerk stamping "denied" on your request for costly treatments...
