Thought the man was totally annoying - If I were on fire I wouldnt buy a glass of water off someone who's screaming at me...
That being said, his death is a tragedy and I wish peace to his family.
If there is one thing that can be gained from this I'd hope it would be for people to learn to ALWAYS GIVE YOUR CHILDREN THE WINDOW SEAT.
Getting hit in the head from things falling out of the overhead compartment is the Number 1 injury that people report to airlines.
Imagine what the corner of a laptop would feel like if it dropped onto your head from what - 3 feet?
Now think about this - I work with a semi-pro bowler. When she travels, she checks her luggage, but the ball bag stays with her, because if the airlines lose it, she's out of the tourney...
Most often problems come not from the people who stow their stuff, but from the guy who gets on at the last minute and thinks he needs to smash everybody else's stuff around to make room for his precious carry on.
