WHY: To become educated regarding the major media/news outlets: newspaper, television and radio.
Toledo- The Children of Liberty, a local non-partisan citizens group, will host a FREE educational seminar about the "Ins and Outs of Media Relations." Michael Miller, Toledo Free Press Editor in Chief, will be our guest speaker, among other members of the media. Topics of the evening will include some history of each perspective form of media, as well as free speech, the fairness doctrine and how to properly and effective impact local media. The evening will include a question and answer segment as well as provide some more general discussion of national media. The message should reinforce a belief that as Americans, it is our civic duty, to practice our right to free speech as well as properly bring into question the ethics and responsibility of those who provide outlets for the news.
