GM to have a long shutdown of Toledo plant and Lasorda quits

I guess now is when Toledo should get out of the all our eggs in one basket, which only 1 year ago leaders in Toledo were a ga ga over and proud of it.

Of the 23 factories, the longest full-plant shutdowns will occur at the Baltimore and Toledo, Ohio, transmission factories, both of which will close for eight weeks. The Willow Run Transmission plant in Ypsilanti Township, Mich., will see one of its assembly lines closed for nine weeks from May 11 through July 13, Basel said.

And a familiar name to Toledoans is now out at Chrysler:

Chrysler’s Future Likely to Hold Fewer Cars
By NICK BUNKLEY

DETROIT — As recently as 2007, Chrysler had 32 different models. By
next year, that number could drop to as low as 13, according to
industry analysts, as the company jettisons slow-selling models to
make room in its dealerships for new Fiat models

A few Chrysler products, including its minivans, Dodge Ram pickup
truck and some Jeeps, are most likely to survive. Their sales have
held up relative to their other models and they have a loyal base of
buyers.

Kiss the challenger goodbye....

Obama dont like it....

I suppose your still under the delusion that Obama means to save anything rather than control it....

One of these days you'll wake up...but you will be WAY behind the curve...

Notice nothing is mentioned about any "golden parachute" for Lasorda.

I'd love to know how much HIS pension is.
