Obama and his good friend Hugo Chavez

"Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has responded to Barack Obama's opening to Iran, and his answer is characteristically acerbic. Yes, we can talk, he is saying, if you come on your hands and knees."

"A third target of North Korea's test is the Obama administration. By creating a crisis at an early stage in the administration, the DPRK is testing the Obama administration's ability to respond, magnifying its own capacity to manufacture crisis, and attempting to control the agenda and define the terms of interaction in the North's favor. North Korea used a similar strategy when it challenged a new Clinton administration by announcing its withdrawal from the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty in March of 1993. The failure of this launch and President Obama's initial response on the day he gave a major policy speech on nuclear disarmament mitigated the initial effects of the launch, but the deadlock at the UN Security Council may be regarded by the North Koreans as a success."

"Government and independent analysts say terrorist attacks in Afghanistan and Pakistan have risen sharply as extremists consolidate and expand operations there. A State Department report due out Thursday is expected to show that terrorist attacks in Pakistan alone more than quadrupled between 2006 and 2008. The American Security Project reports separately that there is "no good news" from either country. Both say that despite an overall global decline in the number of terrorist attacks, such incidents spiked in Afghanistan and Pakistan in 2008. The attacks complicate the Obama administration's efforts to boost military and civilian programs in the region"

"Nearly a week after the H1N1 virus, or swine flu, was first identified in California and Texas, about 100 cases have now been confirmed in the U.S. across 11 states. The first U.S. death from the outbreak was a Mexico City toddler who traveled to Texas with family and died Monday night at a Houston hospital. U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius predicted the child would not be the last U.S. death from swine flu."

"The federal deficit this year spikes to $1.75-trillion dollars – by far the largest in U.S. history. In fact, the deficit this year is larger than the entire federal budget just ten years ago when all government outlays amounted to $1.70-trillion. The new budget reflects President Obama’s commitment to cut the annual federal deficit in half by the end of his term in office. Starting next year, the yearly deficit is projected to decrease from $1.1-trillion to $533-billion in the year 2013. But – if you check the very last chart in the budget book, it shows the National Debt continuing to soar year after year after year."

How long are they going to ride this "First 100 Days"? It's already been a week, so it's actually 107 days now --only 1,360 more days left apart from divine intervention.
/ this is a good analysis
"...when you add up the $787 billion stimulus, you add on the $410 billion the President is about to sign for omnibus, that's a billion dollars an hour in 50 -- 51 days. When the American people look at that, is that really change to the way Washington is working?"

If ''CON' is the opposite of 'PRO', does that mean Congress is the opposite of Progress?
How about -
Eisenhower with his best friend Franco
Or these oldies...
When did conservative become pussies?
CARACAS (Reuters) - Venezuela's President Hugo Chavez said on Sunday his U.S. counterpart Barack Obama was at best an "ignoramus" for saying the socialist leader exported terrorism and obstructed progress in Latin America. "He goes and accuses me of exporting terrorism: the least I can say is that he's a poor ignoramus; he should read and study a little to understand reality," said Chavez, who heads a group of left-wing Latin American leaders opposed to the U.S. influence in the region.

Looks like the rest of the world is learning what Americans have known for a long time. Liberal socialist Obama groupies ARE pussies.
Obama was insulted by Chavez and still kisses his ass. What a spineless jackass and laughing stock.
No wonder N Korea and Iran are tweaking B. Hussain's nose and laughing at America.
If ''CON' is the opposite of 'PRO', does that mean Congress is the opposite of Progress?
You really live you own reality...
North Korea and Iran have been working on nuclear weapon programs and lunching missiles in the face of the US for the previous 8 years...
I though Barack Hussein Obama was a dirty Socialist, Man-Who-Seeks-Liberal-Fellatio, and yet you tell me that the Commies and pinkos don't like him? Does that make him a Capitalist now, or just a weenie Socialist?
http://historymike.blogspot.com/
lost in the political wilderness with his party is total dissarray, Libs is having difficulting formulating his usually-reliable dumb-as-a-stump cheapshots.
Who wants to play the pro/con game?
Somebody go out to the liberal sites and find all the First 100 days op/ed's that say Obama's doing great, and somebody else go out to the conservative sites and find all the op/ed's that say Obama's screwing up and see who comes out with more...
then post them all out here and everyone can copy/past bits and pieces out of them and use them to snipe at one another and pretend their's holds the majority of public sentiment
The President is enjoying a high approval rating in the polls.
Your post is confusing - are you saying "Nobody has to pretend the president is enjoying high approval rating in the polls?"
or "Nobody has to pretend. The president is enjoying high approval rating in the polls?"
because just like my comment on the "First 100 days" op ed's, you can go out to one site and find polls that say he's popular and another that says he's not.
Polls are polls - people pay pollsters to provide the results they want to see and pollsters provide what they're paid to provide.
