Mike Bell Welcomes Konop to Campaign for Mayor of Toledo

Responding to Lucas County Commissioner Ben Konop’s announcement that he intends to run for Mayor of Toledo, Mike Bell issued a statement welcoming the Commissioner to the race.

“I welcome Commissioner Konop to the race for Mayor. This will widen the circle of debate as we  continue to discuss how to get Toledo back on track and provide yet another option for voters to voice  their desire for change in our community.  I look forward to seeing him on the campaign trail.”

Mr. Bell, Toledo’s former Fire Chief and State Fire Marshal, has submitted his resignation as Fire Marshal effective April 10 so he can campaign full time for the job of Toledo’s Mayor.  Two weeks ago supporters opened a campaign committee -- Mike Bell for Toledo.  He officially announced his candidacy on Wednesday, March 25.

Bell will win the election, hands down.

a typical Toledo voter today. They told me they would vote for Mike Bell. When I asked why...they said, "Because." When I asked what issues they agree with him on...they didn't know. It simply came down to the fact that his name is familiar and he seems like a nice guy. I'm convinced that the majority of Toledoans are lazy, ignorant and content with failure.

On the national level, we elected Obama...
