Joe Pellman provides his thoughts on how to save the Lucas County Republican Party.
===
Nationally, we have seen the media frenzy surrounding a void in leadership of the Republican Party, most notably a clash between Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele and radio show host Rush Limbaugh. While the national party fights to find its way, the same battle has been taking place in Lucas County for several years. The Lucas County Republican Party has lost its way, and the younger generation needs to step up and take the reins.

Firstly, you need to marginalize and then ignore that Stainbrook character. He's the albatross around the neck of the local LCRP. He's too vicious or crazy. Get rid of him.
Secondly, you need to pull Denis Katell back into the game, or some of the older party members of similar good standing. Last I heard, he moved to Waterville, alas ... but there must others who didn't ditch their Toledo or LC residences for greener pastures. And those that stayed should be usefully ANGRY ... being under the thumb of the demented Liberals who run this fucking town.
Thirdly, everyone who you bring into the actual party apparatus has to be tested to determine their ability to be a FISCAL CONSERVATIVE ... without being a raving lunatic that wants to literally shoot homosexuals for sharing "their" air. A REAL fiscal conservative is ALSO socially liberal, since social liberalization tends to occur when government falls to a minimum of focus (enforce all laws, collect all taxes, keep the utilities running).
