I keep reading on the net, the Presidents Chief of Staff, Raum Emmanuel, used to be a ballerina. Does anyone have proof of this, one way or the other? Or a link to a clip of him tiptoe-ing through the tulips? Thank You all!

A ballerina is a female dancer. A danseur or ballerino is a male dancer. And you can't prove a negative.
Why would it matter?
What is your point? Are you questioning the masculinity of Rahm Emmanuel here, simply because he studied ballet? From what I understand ballet is an extremely demanding physical activity, and your insinuation of Emmanuel being something less than masculine is ignorant.
Besides, even if Emmanuel WAS both flamboyantly effeminate AND a former ballet dancer (probably an unlikely combination, given the aforementioned physical demands), what difference would it make on his ability to be WH chief of staff?
Of course, given your demonstrated history of being a Class A ignoramus, I should not expect any more from you than semi-literate gay-bashing.

I don't know much about gay bashing, but through extensive personal experience I can attest to the fact that the dance industry in general is largely populated by gay men, lesbians and bisexuals. I have no reason to believe that Ballet is an exception to this, physical demands or not.
Ballet is unusual because successful ballet dancers are born, not made. If a person doesn't have the necessary physique for ballet, no amount of training or physical therapy will make the slightest bit of difference; the would-be prima ballerina (as it 'twere) is doomed to failure. Too bad, too, as some are talented and should move into modern or jazz dancing, which is a whole lot healthier and a lot more fun.

Well, it's not from a lack of trying--eh Jackson?

It's funny that 6 comments on this thread did not provide a single answer.
From ABC News:
"The facts: Emanuel did study ballet when he was growing up and even had a chance to go to college on a ballet scholarship."

Sorry, Tom, I don't provide Google search services for people to lazy to type "Rahm Emmanuel" and "ballet." Over 10,000 hits on the topic, and if G-Man was truly interested in seeing Emmanuel in tights, he needs to do his own homework.

I figured he was having trouble looking for "Raum" Emmanuel.
Just noticed that. I suppose if you think the spelling is "Raum," such a web search would indeed be difficult.
I get so used to poor spelling by folks on the Web that I almost pay no attention any longer...

Hey historymike-sorry I struck a nerve. Suppose I can get some bailout money to pay my tuition at tango dancing school?
Just because your post was pointless does not mean I am a fan of the bailout(s). Open your eyes and your mind - not everyone falls into a Dem-vs.-GOP dichotomy.

I think that I saw a clip on a morning sub-moron entertainment show.
That's why they call him "Twinkle Toes" Emmanuel
